1 Holy Heroes Summer Faith Adventure Day 5: Outline and Suggested Order of Videos 1. Watch the Welcome video. 2. Click the audio link to pray with us a selected decade of the Rosary. Listen carefully to the introduction and the Scripture passages, because they will help you understand the day s lessons better. Consider the following: a. Who is the Queen in the Kingdom of David? b. When Gabriel appeared to Mary, what did Mary understand he was saying about her? c. What did Jesus mean that His Kingdom is not of this world? 3. Watch the New Kingdom of David video and consider the following questions: a. How are we separated from each other when we die, and how are we not separated? b. Explain who is in the following: i. The Church Triumphant ii. The Church Suffering iii. The Church Militant c. What should we do for those in each part of the Church (listed above)? Why?

When do you think you should call a priest to give someone the Anointing of the Sick? b. Why do you think Jesus gave us a sacrament that would bring a priest to us right before we die? What other sacraments could we receive then? c. Which other sacraments used oil? What other time in the old Kingdom of David was oil used? d. BONUS REVIEW: What sacraments require a priest? Which a bishop? Which a deacon? 9. Have older children dig deeper by reading these Bible verses to identify some of the key lessons noted: a. Mk 6:12-13 anointed with oil many sick, cured them b. 5 Holy Heroes Summer Faith Adventure Markers Tape Day 5 Game: Saint Tag Saint Tag is the same as freeze tag except when the person who is it tries to tag you, you can stop (or sit down) and say a saint s name and you can t be tagged. But you can t say the same name twice or you re tagged. If you are tagged, someone who is not it has to un-tag you. When everyone s tagged, someone else is it. Day 5 Snack: Catholic Trail Mix 1 box of animal crackers 1 bowl of gold fish 1 bag of M&M s 1 bag of oyster crackers 1 bag of pretzel sticks 1bag of pretzel twists Pour all of the ingredients into a big bowl and mix.
