Ah what recollectlons from our old "Harvard liberal lawyer" Goble's clearly rushed search of what is obscured from almost all the related records, of FBIH , all 13 sections of it! Taking one section himself, Goble assigned the other 12 sections to 12 of the other supervisors in the Domestic Intelligence Division. Lish Mpeklfhitson's comment on his section, 12, reflects what they were looking for, "None of these (listed) names mentioned as associate of Walter Wilson Jenkine." Remember Jenkins - LBJ's right-hand man before and at the White House, resigned after he was apprehended in a glens' room and charged with a sexual offense? If anything is included in'goble's distribution slip, which I doubt, it has to be in the first column, redacted under b6 claim in the middle of a column with no visible blank spaces. So, I believe that other relevant records are in that tickler and are not included. There has to be some reason for Goble's laindhing this large and relatively time-coneping project, for which nobody lower in rank thari a supervisor was trusted. Not the normal search, for example, by clerks or everyday special agents. There ought be some directive from him to the others, too, although he could have handpoarried and conveyed instructions vetbally. And there ought be some report from Goble on the results of the search. The only discernible document number, 136, is on the first of the lists he distributed. The one on his slip is eliminated in xeroxing. His is not dated, although he posted the time, 3:20 p.m. The list is of names of those, far Sri= all, who were mentioned publicly in connection with the Garrison fiasco. That several are misspelled leads me to believe that Goble was not working from a list provided by the N.O. field office, although it is reasonably certain that the underlying information-was from it. Someone at FTIHQ, therefore, and quite likely Goble himself, compiled this list. He had been a Communist/USSR expert, not a uarrison expert. 161 is an applicant-related classifieation titled " ial Inquities fot White House" and other congfessional and agency inquiries. The date that Goble does not give is reported by some of the supervisors, 5/22/67. This date is three weeks after left New Orleans at the end of my first visit there. It also is well before I heard, for the first time, of Garrison's interest in high-level sexual pecadillos he thought might be connected to Clay Shaw. The first I heard of any of that awful stuff could not have been before 11/67 and I believe it was not until 2/46. I do recall it in connection with a trip I took to the west coast 2/68 and I have a means of recalling it: I undetook to break it up and tar* that despite the incompetence and stupidities of those around Garrison there I did. 'Jim Rose," who has and has used many other names, is a disaster under arty of them. He was Bud's ge" Bill Turner's pal and fellow-worker. Turner had him wo on Garrison's incredible sado-massochtst kick.all sorts of wealthy men, megrailerans, like Clint Nurehison, whose name I recall in this connection, and other biggies, eluding in political life, allegedly had this s-:a ring to whose parties they clamly took their wives as covers and their wives as calmly remaindoseparated from the goings-on and silent. In the Garrison theory they used all sorts of drugs, tooi whips, the works. Really worse than the foregoing indicates. I first laid eyes on "Rose" leaning up against the wall near Art Levin's office in the 101j studios' news department. What was conspicuous was the cigarette drooling from his lips. It took my attention, as did his pose, and my mind clicked and I recalled a photo (which I still have) of anti-castro mercenaries after a Florida

2 2 arrest. The word was that Rose was formerly CIA, I think in Turner's version a pilot, so in one sense there was no reason to have questions about his anti-pastro involvements. But among the reasons for my suspicions is that the person I took to be him used a name not included among the many to which he admitted. There also were rather odd circumstances surrounding the arrests, including a seeminkly mysterious drowning death in shallow water of a skin diver. Aside: I asked Steve Jaffe, the same dope who is currently the successful Hollywood flack whose clients have included Hugh Hefner, then a photography map= at, UgA, to sneak a picture of Rose for me to use to compare with the arrest pieture. To do what I asked would have been no chore at all for Jaffe but, knowing that I was suspicious, what did that demon investigator do? Go to Rose with it! Apparently Turner had told Rose that this gentleman's club of Garrison's- Areama was to have a bash at some swank Hollywood home that very night. Rose ttjed up the next day with two plastic hypos, both allegedly used, different colorsvone I till?* yellow. His story is that he practised garbology, that all those fancypaatswealthy men were so careldsa, so without any security concerns, that they throw:their hype!: in the garbage whence Rose retrieved them in the wee hours. I didn't belleve any port of it. Anyway, I started punching holes in Rose's various stories about himself and this evil Garrison dreamed up or had had fed to him. Also, I was able to check out one of the nonwealthy public figmes, a married man who had had a woman I knew as a lover. She assured me he was anything but 8.4, a very gentle man. He today is an old man and in his field well known. Pehaps Bud has records from which it can be learned whether Garrison was off on some kind of Walter Jenkins-Clay Shaw connection as early as before 5/22/67, I have no recollection of having heard of it or anything like i thactirharl and I have no recollection of its being used publicly. Because 4 public use, then the FBI's source was not a public source. It has to be afi7informer or more than one, an informer who knew some of the walking and blabbing stupidities with whom tiarrison was associatedor an informer inside his office/operation. Plesae note also that there is this list of persons the FBI knew were involved in the Garrison investigation and thus relevant to my request in C.A , yet no search was made and nothing produced relating to them. _ More "'hew evidence" and more proof of misrepresentation to the courts.
