Fasting and prayer can als wrk n a much grander scale. Accrding t Scripture, persnal experience and bservatin, we are cnvinced that when Gd's peple fast with a prper Biblical mtive seeking Gd's face nt His hand with a brken, repentant, and cntrite spirit, Gd will hear frm heaven and heal ur lives, ur churches, ur cmmunities, ur natin and wrld. Fasting and prayer can bring abut revival a change in the directin f ur natin, the natins f earth and the fulfillment f the Great Cmmissin. The awesme pwer can be released thrugh yu as yu fast thrugh the enabling f the Hly Spirit. Instructins We will begin ur Crprate Fast n Mnday, Octber 15, 2018 and end n Sunday, Nvember 4, We will fast crprately everyday (including Saturdays and Sundays) frm 6am t 6pm by eliminating fd during that time and jining tgether t pray as a Church Family. Make yur cmmitment with Gd, nt with man. The arm f flesh will fail yu, but Gd will sustain yu in every spiritual endeavr. If yu are fasting t impress men, yu have yur reward. Ask the Hly Spirit t clarify His leading and bjectives fr yur prayer fast. This will enable yu t pray mre specifically and strategically. Knw the purpse f yur fast. Crprately we are fasting t uprt enemies t the prfit f the Wrd f Gd in ur lives, negative wrds and their effects and anything that will uprt ur harvest if we dn t address it. Persnally, why are yu fasting? What gates, drs, and keys are yu lking t pssess? Be specific. Is it fr spiritual renewal, fr guidance, fr healing, fr the reslutin f prblems, fr special grace t enter a dr f increase, marriage, ministry, etc.? Write yur issues, prayers, supplicatins dwn and be ready t hear Gd's answer r track yur prgress tward clsure. Smetimes we can becme s engaged in a spiritual activity, we lse sight f its intended purpse. When this happens, pride (spiritual pride) can be attached t fasting althugh fasting is suppsed t prduce humility. Fasting is abut bringing the bdy int spiritual balance. An effective fast will prduce lng lasting health benefits. The uter bdy will reflect the state f the inner man. This fast is a Six t fast: What will yu abslutely eliminate? If yu are breaking at six where will yu be when yu break? Will yu be able t pray effectively if yu are breaking at six? When yu have set a time t break, identify and determine hw can yu highlight t yurself the fast is abut prayer and spiritual issues mre than fd and beying the urges f the flesh t eat at six? Plan, plan, plan. TIME CONSTRAINTS Hw much time will yu cmmit t Prayer and Fasting? Hw much time will yu pray, read, study, meditate and spend with Gd? Hw will yu eliminate distractins due t ther requirements? Buy a jurnal t recrd prayers, thughts, etc. Write dwn in yur jurnal all that Gd is saying frm Day 1 f the Fast. If Gd tells yu t g lnger r t eliminate mre, yur writings will help t encurage yu that what yu are hearing is in line with yur prgress. page 3

4 DANGERS TO GUARD AGAINST: The Bible desn't speak at all n the physical dangers f fasting but please check with yur dctr if yu're n medicatin, pregnant r breast-feeding. Thse wh are breastfeeding may cnsider ding vegetables nly r switching their fast frm 6pm t 6am that means n eating after 6pm. Self-Preparatin Prepare yurself spiritually. The lnger yu have t get ready fr a lng fast, the better. Dn't talk yurself ut f it if yu haven't had enugh time t prepare. Sme f us, Gd has been asking fr an audience in fasting and prayer with yu fr years. Begin the jurney and pray fr Grace t fulfill this spiritual requirement. Pray Psalm 51 daily. Cnfess every sin. Make sure there's n ill will r evil intentin n yur heart. Remve all rcks f ffense. Seek frgiveness and frgive thers immediately. Read frm the bk f Prverbs each day. Prepare yurself physically. Flush it ut. Drink lts f water. Take a laxative r an enema. Rest as much as yu can. Quick Tips Put yurself n a schedule. This helps t stabilize yu. Read, study, pray In the mrning, pray 30 minutes t an hur wake up specifically t pray In the afternn, walk and pray during the time yu wuld nrmally eat - In the evening, pray in yur prayer rm. Create a meeting place fr yu and Gd. The bdy will begin t recgnize this place ver time and make certain adjustments. If yu lay dwn, the bdy will g int rest mde.
