Hinei mah tov uma na im Shevet achim gam yachad How good it is, How sweet it is, To be together on this day! Shalom aleichem! Salaam aleikum! How good and pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to sit together. Peace be to you!
Od yavo shalom aleinu V'al kulam Salaam, Aleinu v'al kol ha-olam Salaam, shalom. God will yet bring peace upon us and upon all the world.
L'chah dodi likrat kalah, p'nei Shabbat n'kab'lah. Beloved, come to meet the bride; beloved come to greet Shabbat. Shamor v'zachor b'dibur echad, hishmianu El ham'yuchad, Adonai echad ush'mo echad, l'shem ul'tiferet v'lit'hilah. Keep and remember : a single command the Only God caused us to hear; the Eternal is One, God's Name is One; glory and praise are God's.
L'chah dodi likrat kalah, p'nei Shabbat n'kab'lah. Hitor'ri, hitor'ri, ki va oreich, kumi ori, uri uri, shir daberi, k'vod Adonai alayich niglah. Awake, awake, your light has come! Arise, shine, awake and sing: the Eternal's glory dawns upon you.
L'chah dodi likrat kalah, p'nei Shabbat n'kab'lah. Bo-i v'shalom ateret ba'lah, gam b'simchah uv'tzoholah, toch emunei am s'gulah, bo-i chalah, bo-i chalah. Enter in peace, O crown of your husband; enter in gladness, enter in joy. Come to the people that keeps its faith. Enter, O bride! Enter, O bride!
O Source of light and truth, Creator of the eternal law of goodness, Help us to find knowledge by which to live. Lead us to take the words we shall speak into our hearts and our lives Bless all who enter this sanctuary in need, All who bring the offerings of their hearts. May our worship lead us to acts of kindness, peace and love.
Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech Haolam, asher kidshanu b'mitzvotav, v'tzivanu l'hadlik neir shel Shabbat. Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the universe, who hallows us with mitzvot, commanding us to kindle the light of Shabbat.
There was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. The Heaven and the Earth were finished, and all their array. On the seventh day God finished the work that God had been doing, and God ceased on the seventh day from all the work that God had done. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because on it God ceased from all the work of creation that God had done.
Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, borei p'ri hagafen. Praise to You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the universe, Creator of the fruit of the vine.
Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'ratzah vanu, v'shabbat kodsho b'ahavah uv'ratzon hinchilanu, zikaron l'maaseih v'reishit. Ki hu yom t'chilah l'mikra-ei kodesh, zeicher litziat Mitzrayim.
Ki vanu vacharta v'otanu kidashta, mikol haamim. V'Shabbat kodsh'cha b'ahavah uv'ratzon hinchaltanu. Baruch atah, Adonai, m'kadeish HaShabbat.
Shabbat can be a special time, a day created just for rest. Of every day that's in the week Shabbat can be the one that's best. The Torah says in just six days the whole wide world did God create. And when God finished all the work, God took a look and said, "It's great!"
And so we have this special day, a day for peace, a day for joy, a day for family and friends, a day for every girl and boy. Tonight we are a family and we will share this special day. Together we can celebrate; It's time to sing and learn and pray.
Bar'chu et Adonai ham'vorach! Baruch Adonai ham'vorach l'olam va-ed! Praise Adonai to whom praise is due! Praised be Adonai to whom praise is due, now and forever!
God made the giant elephant; God made the tiny mouse; God made the crawling turtle With a shell-top for his house.
God made the kangaroo with pouch; God made the bearded goat; God made the mixed-up platypus, With duck-bill and fur coat.
How different God made all the beasts, In kind and shape and size; Some large and strong, some weak and small, Some brave, or sly, or wise.
To every beast, throughout the earth, We know that God will give A shelter, and the food and drink That it may thrive and live.
God is not a person; God's not a great big king. God is the good that's in the world, and God made everything.
God is not a person, or moon, or stars or sun. God is the good that's in the world, and God is only One.
Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad! Baruch shem k'vod malchuto l'olam va-ed! Hear O Israel, Adonai is our God, Adonai is One! Blessed is God's glorious majesty forever and ever!
You shall love Adonai your God with all your mind, with all your strength, with all your being. The Torah tells us that we love God by also loving our parents, brothers, sisters, and all people.
Place these words which I command you this day, upon your heart. We try to live by the teachings of our Torah.
Teach them to your children; speak of them in your home and when you are out, when you lie down and when you get up. Being Jewish is a special kind of feeling that we have at all times.
Make them a sign on your hand, and a symbol before your eyes; write them on the doorposts of your house, and on your gates. The mezuzah, kiddush cup and candlesticks are all symbols of our people. When we use Jewish objects in our homes, with our families, we make ourselves part of a wonderful tradition.
Think about all of My Mitzvot, and do them: so shall you be holy to your God. We can take the ideas in the Torah and the feelings of Shabbat and make them part of our lives each new day.
When grass is green, and sky is blue, So many things I wish to do. To climb a tree, to plant a seed, To dig, to rake, to pull a weed.
To watch the clouds that sail on high; To chase a yellow butterfly. But best of all, I want to sing A song of thanks for everything.`
Mi chamochah ba-eilim, Adonai! Mi kamochah nedar bakodesh, nora t'hilot, oseh fele! Who is like You, Adonai, among the gods that are worshipped? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in splendor, working wonders?
Malchut'cha ra-u vanecha, bokei-a yam lifnei Moshe umiryam, Zeh Eli anu v'amru: Adonai yimloch l'olam va-ed! Your children witnessed Your sovereignty, the sea splitting before Moses and Miriam. This is our God! they cried. Adonai will reign forever and ever!
Mi chamochah ba-eilim, Adonai! Mi kamochah nedar bakodesh, nora t'hilot, oseh fele! Who is like You, Adonai, among the gods that are worshipped? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in splendor, working wonders?
Where is God? I just don't know. I often ask, "Where does God go?" I know that God is here, and there, I know that God is everywhere. God is near, and God is far God is on a distant star.
God is on the grassy hill; God is in the daffodil. God is in the tall oak tree; God is in the rolling sea. God's in our home -- In far off space But we can't see God face to face! Today, as I prayed, I learned, with a start I can feel God in the beat of my heart!
Adonai, s fatai tiftach, Ufi yagid t hilatecha. Adonai, open up my lips, that my mouth may declare Your praise.

We must praise the Lord of all, the Maker of heaven and earth, who has set us apart from the other families of the earth, giving us a destiny unique among the nations. We therefore bow in awe and thanksgiving before the One who is Sovereign over all, the Holy One, blessed be God.
We look forward to a time when there will be no evil, hunger or hatred in the world, when all people will live together in peace. On that day, we will be like one family sharing the blessings of God's ancient promise: On that day, O God, You shall be One and Your name shall be One.

Whenever we gather together to pray, we set aside a special time to remember those who have died. Some were family, others friends; some we knew, others were strangers. But each of their lives had meaning.
