1 VaYera 2013 And He Appeared: Genesis 18:1 22:24. I. The title of this Parsha VaYera becomes the summation of all that is to be found in this text. Translated, And He Appeared, (removing the Vav conjunction for and ) it is from the root of #7200, ר א ה ra'ah, to see, perceive, inspect, to consider. How odd to see this same root later in chapter 22 verse 14 to describe the place where Abraham offers Isaac as a sacrifice to YHVH and names the place; seen. translated, YHVH will provide, He Appeared or will be,י הו ה י ר א ה This is flabbergasting when one considers the declaration of Abraham in Gen. 22: 8 in response to Isaac s query regarding the lamb to be offered, Elohiym will provide Yira ah, lo,י ר א ה ל ו Himself a(s) (The) lamb. The nondescript inflected personal pronoun LO, means to him. This statement could thus read, YHVH will provide Himself (as) the Lamb; YHVH will provide to Himself the Lamb! This is the central event of this Parsha, the offering of Isaac as a type of the Lamb which would have taken place at the timing of Pesach and the fact that the Parsha starts out saying And He Appeared (who is the HE, but, Yahshua the Lamb Yah Provides) who meets Abraham, again, at Pesach, to tell him of Isaac! To add another twist, our Mystical Jewish Sages believe that the Lamed-Vav (gematria = 36) represents 36 righteous men, who according to tradition bear the sins of the world, and when one of these 36 die, unless YHVH finds another to take their place the world will end! How like the story of Isaac and Yahshua: YHVH would appear in the earth as Yahshua the LAMB to die in the place of the world! Additionally, 36 is the gematria of the Hebrew word for tent, #168, א ה ל 'ohel, meaning, tent or dwelling, the very place Abraham is sitting at in here in Gen. 18:1 a word etymologically spelled the same as Ahal, to be shining. Another word whose value equals 36 is #424, Elah, referring to an Oak or Terebinth tree, planted at the place of Covenant cutting, and again seen in this same verse when the English word plain, #436, א לו ן 'elown (from elah) is used! This was the location of the Plains of Mamre, #4471, מ מ ר א Mamre', strength, from #4754, mara, whose root infers

2 bitterness or rebellion, but in the ancient versions indicates one who lifts Himself up! These numbers and their word equivalents tell us: And He Appeared The Shining ONE, who for the rebellious Bride, would lift Himself upon the Covenant Tree! In fact, this is an exact replication of Gen. 2 & 3 where the Tree of Life represented by Yahshua is contrasted by the Tree of death, partaking of either involves covenanting oneself to either life or death! Therefore, our ONE PHRASE TITLE VAYERA - LITERALLY ENCAPSULATES THE ENTIRE MESSAGE OF REDEMPTION! The following connections are no less staggering! Let s look at the gematria of VaYera, which equals 217, the same as Deborah. VaYera and Deborah? The Book of Judges tells of a female who served as the 4th judge of Israel after the death of Joshua: They are in order. Othniyel, #6274, translated, lion of God. However, this seems,ע ת נ יא ל not to be accurate. The Ayin-Tav root stem infers time, a set time, a designated time/season. The Nun-Yod suffix indicates me. The Alef-Lamed, EL represents Elohiym. Thus, Othniyel could mean El appointed me at this time. United. 'Ehuwd, Ehud, #164, I will give thanks, to be א הו ד Shamgar, #8044, It is translated Sword, again we should break it ש מ ג ר apart: Shin-Mem = Shem or name, while Gimmel-Resh, ger, means alien or stranger. Dĕbowrah, Deborah, #1683, translated Bee ; it is derived from the ד בו ר ה same root as Dabar-word. These names could be rendered: EL-YHVH has appointed me at a time (I will give thanks to be united) when the Name has been alienated from the Word! How does this fit the scenario of this Parsha? Particularly, in how Abraham is introduced to Yahshua (VaYera-He Appeared) and given the example of Pesach where the Lamb/Word would be cut off from the Name and it is presented again in the requirement of YHVH to have Abraham to offer Isaac his son. To add further intrigue, from Genesis 22 forward, Isaac is absent from the scene! VaYera he

3 appears again, in Gen. 24 where he takes His Bride into His Mother s tent: Foreshadowing Messiah who would be offered as the Son and then be absent for 2 (chapters) 2 days, 2000 years until the Bride is chosen and presented He is waiting at the well of The One Who Sees Me - ב א ר ל ח י ר א י By removing the vowel points this could also be rendered: The well, BAR Son, of the lechiy jaw, face, by implication to smite on the cheek and #7209, re iy, a mirror, the visible appearance! Isaac was at (in the presence of) the Son who would be smitten on the cheek! Is. 53: 4 & John 18: 22. This has great significance! In Ancient Suzerain Treaties we have examples of where one of the slave classes (bondage to sin?) struck the Free Born in the face His Ear was cut off! Figuratively, his hearing! How coincidental that just 13 verses earlier in John 18: 9 Peter cuts off the ear of Malchus (Hebrew for King/Kingdom) while Yahshua heals him? It s a picture of the Word-Seed-Yahshua-Isaac being absent, cut off for a season [planted] for the bride, and VaYera He Appears Again! Isaac takes Rebecca into his mother Sarah s tent. Mother, #517, א ם 'em, a mother, the relationship of DEBORAH to the people. It can also indicate a point of departure or division. Look at the gematria of Sarah 508, the same as #2790, ח ר ש charash, which in its verbal form means to be deaf, silent, mute! The Word/Seed is there, you just can t hear it! The word mother, em, again connects us to Deborah and is used in Judges 5:7 where it adds peculiar clarity to an obscure verse connecting us again to VaYera: The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel. The word for Villages, #6520, פ ר זו ן pĕrazown, translated villages, it is from the root paraz, to separate, divide, but which originally meant, To Be Open! This same word is basically the name of the Son of Judah and Tamar; Pharez Breach. This is the lineage of Messiah the SEED of YHVH The Word, of which the ability to HEAR ceased (#2308, ח ד ל chadal, a word which means to stop, to cease, as in childbearing However, it can also infer cessation, a rest, and in context imply the grave or Sheol) in Israel until DEBORAH (THE

4 Word with the Womb His Bride) arose, (#6965, קו ם quwm, to arise, become powerful, to be confirmed or ratified, as in a legal ruling or law) a mother, em; a point of departure an end. In other words, because of Israel s rebellion, the Seed line was breached until the Womb/Bride arrived to bring an end to His absence! The same picture as Isaac/Rebecca - Yahshua/The Bride! It s the age-old battle between the competing Seed of YHVH and the Seed of the Serpent! Where did He Appear? II. The interesting Saga continues in the Hebrew; for YHVH appears VaYera in the plains of Mamre. Plains, #436, א לו ן 'elown, translated Oak, terebinth or long-lived tree. Now, when we see the Vav-Nun suffixed to the end of a word, it denotes a smaller version of the root, which in this case is Alef-Lamed, a masc. noun referring to YHVH. Mamre, #4471, מ מ ר א Mamre', translated strength or fatness. However, in the ancient authoritative Aramaic commentaries, referred to as the Targums, where one finds the Person of YHVH anthropomorphized or Seen, or where 2 or more references to YHVH occur, the Manifest One is referred to as The Memra of YHVH. Curiously, let s break the Hebrew word apart: Let s do it backwards first since we re familiar with the Resh-Alef, which forms the 2-letter root stem of VaYera Ra ah to see. The Mem-Mem forms the root stem from which we get Mayim, water. It also spells the name of the Hebrew letter MEM, which by definition means, water, chaos or womb. It would seem in following the previous line of thought regarding the Seed being introduced into the world and subsequently cut off and later VaYera Reappearing, that even these additional words lend credence to the same, by indicating: YHVH chose to diminish Himself and Appear - VaYera (taking the form of man Yahshua) and be borne by the water of the Word or womb! I.E. the Womb of the Woman! This is the consistent theme of Pesach.

5 To add additional support from the gematria let s view Gen. 18:1 which contains 42 letters. The numbers 42, 1,260, and 31 2 are symbolic. They can also indicate time periods of literally 42 months, 1,260 years and years. Forty-two is one way or another always associated with Yahshua's coming. For example, Matthew 1:17 tells us there were 42 generations from Abraham to Yahshua's first coming. There are 42 lines per page of the Torah Scroll. If we look at the 42 nd chapter of Torah (Gen. 42) we see Joseph meeting his brothers and putting them in prison for 3 days, a shadow picture of how Yahshua, like Joseph, would be sold for his brothers being placed in prison (the grave or barren womb) cut off, and VaYera Appear after 3 days to finally restore us! Hosea 6: 1-2. Incidentally, 42 is the gematria of Yovel, the word for the release year! It is also the value of Jochebed, the mother of Moshe, who as a type of Yahshua is born out of the Water/Word and has the same drawn from him! III. Even the numbers quoted by Abraham as he petitions YHVH to spare the Righteous in Sodom lends credence to our teaching. Look at Gen. 18: Those numbers each represent a letter in Hebrew as well. 50, the letter Nun, all that is life. The number of Jubilee or restoration. 45, written Mem-Nun, the Hebrew word for Manna, the Bread of Life, that which the Tree of Life produces. It is the numeric value of Adam. 40, the letter Mem, water, chaos, the womb, representing testing and purging. 30, the Lamed, to urge, or prod. The Shepherd, one who teaches. 20, the Kaf, ownership, authority, to cover over or atone. 10, the Yod, the arm or strength, the building block or atom of all the letters, I.E. the DNA. Abraham seems to be reminding YHVH of the Righteous Seed and the Promise of redemption, which at the Jubilee of creation will restore the Adam to the Living Manna His Word, The Seed from the Tree of Life. One will come born of water; out of chaos He will be tested. This Shepherd will teach of and provide the Covering - the Kippur atonement, which will restore and reveal the Arm Zeroa - Seed of His DNA! The total of these numbers equals 195, the same as #4735, 4736, Miqneh. This was the term given by Joseph to his brothers as an answer to Pharaoh regarding their

6 occupation. Miqneh = cattle herders/cattle breeders. But, it also infers to the purchase price of a possession acquired. Our answer should be the same to the coming Pharaoh: We are disseminating the Seed of YHVH, we are not our own but were bought with a Price!
