4 Covenant Scripture/Pshat Remez Drash Friendship Salt Genesis 18:1- Gen 18:8 Abraham shares bread with men Lev 2:13 with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt. The Salt Covenant and the name come from an Ancient practice. Each Hebrew person carried a small pouch of salt. When two or more men would like to enter into this type of relationship with each other, the parties to the convent would mix their salt in a common bowl, break bread, dip it into the salt, and eat it. When they were finished they would redistribute the salt into their pouches. You see the only way to break the covenant would be to separate each grain of salt from the others and return it to the original owner. Since this was impossible, the established bond had to remain forever! The people were to trust Elohiym by giving the salt that was put into their offering. Their Elohiym would provide for them and they were to give back out of love and obedience. The priests and Levites were to trust Elohiym by serving Him without a land inheritance like their brothers. Their Elohiym would provide for their livelihood while they were away from their cities which were interspersed throughout Israel. 6 Minchah Often a present brought to the (Joel 1:9, 13) house of YHWH, possibly tithes and offerings. With a minchah offering, we take the resources we have access to, and create a work as a korban, so those are likely variable as those grain cakes were as the individual mixed them with ingredients and baked them. Offerings we make or prepare for The Father, ie.our prayers, our talents we bring in stewardship (our ministries, praise & worship, administration, cleaning) Minchah offerings should be seasoned with salt Psa 20:3 Remember all thy offerings, H4503 and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Psa 72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: H4503 the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Ruth 4:8 Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe. The name originates from the custom to mark your property with worn-out sandals. These sandals were partially covered by rocks to keep them in place against the natural elements (wind and rain) In ancient Hebrew households, during the day you could not tell the sons and daughters apart from the hired help. But at dinnertime (marriage supper of the Lamb?!) the difference became obvious; the sons and daughters were the ones sitting with the parents at the family table. Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, John 13:4-14. Yahushua offered the inheritance of His heavenly kingdom to His disciples. By removing their sandals and washing their feet He was giving them a new inheritance His own!

8 Covenant Scripture/Pshat Remez Drash Betrothal/Marriage Covenant Jeremiah 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith YHWH; for I am married unto you Marriage The ultimate form of a covenant is the marriage covenant (Betrothal). This is the closest relationship we will ever experience as this is the point when the two parties of the covenant become one. Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of Elohiym.

13 Joshua 6:4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. What is the ram s horn? Is it a shofar? Is this a battle trumpet?

14 What s with all the sevens? Are they reminiscent of any other scriptures?

16 Joshua 6:5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. Strong's Number H3104 matches the Hebrew י וב ל yowbel, which occurs 27 times in 25 verses in the Hebrew concordance of the KJV, 20 in Leviticus 23 & 25, 5 in Joshua 6. yowbel י וב ל Yod: arm, work, deed, holding something Vav: nail, peg Bet: house, family, inside Lamed: shepherd s staff, teach, lead, control The work that secures us in the house/fold of the shepherd Leviticus 25:13. In the year of this jubile H3104 ye shall return every man unto his possession.

17 Joshua 6:7 And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of YHWH. What is the significance of the order of this progression?

18 Joshua 6:8-9 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before YHWH, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of YHWH followed them. And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward h622 came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
