Isaiah A new racle Abut Babyln Is. 21:1 The racle cncerning the wilderness f the sea. As windstrms in the Negev sweep n, It cmes frm the wilderness, frm a terrifying land. Is. 21:2 A harsh visin has been shwn t me; The treacherus ne still deals treacherusly, and the destryer still destrys. G up, Elam, lay siege, Media; I have made an end f all the graning she has caused. Is. 21:3 Fr this reasn my lins are full f anguish; Pains have seized me like the pains f a wman in labr. I am s bewildered I cannt hear, s terrified I cannt see. Is. 21:4 My mind reels, hrrr verwhelms me; The twilight I lnged fr has been turned fr me int trembling. Is. 21:5 They set the table, they spread ut the clth, they eat, they drink; Rise up, captains, il the shields, Is. 21:6 Fr thus the Lrd says t me, G, statin the lkut, let him reprt what he sees. Is. 21:7 When he sees riders, hrsemen in pairs, A train f dnkeys, a train f camels, Let him pay clse attentin, very clse attentin. Is. 21:8 Then the lkut called, O Lrd, I stand cntinually by day n the watchtwer, And I am statined every night at my guard pst. Is. 21:9 Nw behld, here cmes a trp f riders, hrsemen in pairs. And ne said, Fallen, fallen is Babyln; And all the images f her gds are shattered n the grund. Is. 21:10 O my threshed peple, and my afflicted f the threshing flr! What I have heard frm the LORD f hsts, The Gd f Israel, I make knwn t yu. It begins describing the wilderness f the sea Obscure reference we knw means Babyln because f verse 9 And her destructin is cmpared t a sircc desert wind The visin f her future is a harsh ne Isaiah says Babyln is a picture f the enemy And that interpretatin fits this descriptin t 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 2 A treacherus ne and a destryer, is still that way Meaning Satan is always the same and never changes S in respnse, Gd declares that Elam and Media will g up and lay siege T make an end t the graning that Babyln has caused Abut this pint, yu might be thinking like me in asking is this a descriptin f Gd s judgment n Babyln in Isaiah s day r f the ultimate Babyln, the Harlt...the false religin f Satan? Elam and the Medes frmed the Med Persian empire, which S Gd declares that this natin is raised t The answer is yes First, lk at the details frm the perspective f the destructin f Babyln in Isaiah s day In verse 3-4, Isaiah says he s reeling frm the sight f what will cme upn Babyln It terrifies Isaiah t cnsider what s cming upn Babyln But in cntrast, the Babylnians will be blivius and eating calming (v.5) They will suddenly have t rise t il their shields (defense against arrws) Dan 5 gives us that stry f the Babylnians eating when Gd reveals their cming judgment by Med Persian The Babylnians were taken by surprise and cnquered in 539 BC Then in vs.6-9, Gd reprts what will happen thrugh the eyes f a watchman The watchman has t wait a while t see anything Almst t the pint f dubting anything will happen Because there is a lng perid between Isaiah s prmise and the reality f Babyln s fall 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 3 But then he sees trps advancing in pairs, the standard way the Persian marched accrding t the Greek histrian, Xenphn Then Babyln falls This is histrically accurate And this shrt 10 verse sectin is merely an intrductin t a much lnger 6-chapter sectin in Isaiah where he will discuss Gd judgment against Babyln in even mre detail Fr nw cnsider it frm the secnd prphetic perspective In particular, nte verse 9 Fallen, fallen is Babyln Rev. 18:1 After these things I saw anther angel cming dwn frm heaven, having great authrity, and the earth was illumined with his glry. Rev. 18:2 And he cried ut with a mighty vice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babyln the great! She has becme a dwelling place f demns and a prisn f every unclean spirit, and a prisn f every unclean and hateful bird. Rev. 18:3 Fr all the natins have drunk f the wine f the passin f her immrality, and the kings f the earth have cmmitted acts f immrality with her, and the merchants f the earth have becme rich by the wealth f her sensuality. Rev. 18:4 I heard anther vice frm heaven, saying, Cme ut f her, my peple, s that yu will nt participate in her sins and receive f her plagues; Rev. 18:5 fr her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and Gd has remembered her iniquities. Rev. 18:6 Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back t her duble accrding t her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much fr her. The reference seems t cnnect this time f future judgment against the false religin f Babyln When bth the city and it s false gd is judged (see v.9) We ll wait fr Isaiah f 43 fr mre discussin Fr nw, knw this cmpletes the racle f Babyln s by prviding the near-term prphecy fr destructin at the hands f the Med Persians And if yu think this sectin is a bit t bscure, lk at what cmes next 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 4 Is. 21:11 The racle cncerning Edm. One keeps calling t me frm Seir, Watchman, hw far gne is the night? Watchman, hw far gne is the night? Is. 21:12 The watchman says, Mrning cmes but als night. If yu wuld inquire, inquire; Cme back again. This racle is abut Edm, that s the easy part Edm is a lng-time enemy f Israel (present day suthern Jrdan and parts f the Arabian peninsula) Funded by Esau s descendants, and it was always a peple set against their distant brthers in Israel Next t Babyln, Edm is the mst despised natin in Gd s eyes Isaiah says ne is calling him frm Seir, the main muntain in Edm The wrds used here are especially imprtant The wrd fr Edm is actual Idumea The place that King Herd came frm (nt a Jew) The wrd Idumea means a deep, utter silence Yu see the same wrd used in Psa 31:17, Psa. 31:17 Let me nt be put t shame, O LORD, fr I call upn Yu; Let the wicked be put t shame, let them be silent in Shel. It s the silence f eternal death S this is an racle cncerning Edm, but with the play n wrds it implies Edm will enter a deathly, eternal silence And in this racle the watchman keeps asking hw far gne is the night? Hw much lnger befre it s light? He asks it repeatedly, and the Hebrew changes slightly In the secnd versin, it indicates, What part f the night is it? Hw lng d we wait befre the night passes? 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 5 Then suddenly, v.12 switches t Aramaic (all Hebrew prir t this), which was the language Jesus spke when He walked the Earth Mrning cmes, but it will still be night fr Edm In ther wrds, when the wrld is brught ut f darkness (i.e., night) and int light (i.e., mrning), Edm desn t get relief...it stays in night Then Isaiah says t sme in Edm at that time, if yu wuld inquire r search, then d s And then cme back (r turn back), in the sense f cnversin r turning t smething new Withut ther Scripture, we wuld be hpelessly lst in understanding these tw verses Sme f ur additinal understanding will cme frm Isaiah 34 and 53 But we ll save thse fr later Fr nw, we can lk at a few ther places t understand this prmise f eternal darkness fr Edm and cmbined with a call in Aramaic fr sme t return Jer. 49:13 Fr I have swrn by Myself, declares the LORD, that Bzrah will becme an bject f hrrr, a reprach, a ruin and a curse; and all its cities will becme perpetual ruins. Jer. 49:14 I have heard a message frm the LORD, And an envy is sent amng the natins, saying, Gather yurselves tgether and cme against her, And rise up fr battle! Jer. 49:15 Fr behld, I have made yu small amng the natins, Despised amng men. Jer. 49:16 As fr the terrr f yu, The arrgance f yur heart has deceived yu, O yu wh live in the clefts f the rck, Wh ccupy the height f the hill. Thugh yu make yur nest as high as an eagle s, I will bring yu dwn frm there, declares the LORD. Jer. 49:17 Edm will becme an bject f hrrr; everyne wh passes by it will be hrrified and will hiss at all its wunds. Jer. 49:18 Like the verthrw f Sdm and Gmrrah with its neighbrs, says the LORD, n ne will live there, nr will a sn f man reside in it Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 6 Jer. 49:19 Behld, ne will cme up like a lin frm the thickets f the Jrdan against a perennially watered pasture; fr in an instant I will make him run away frm it, and whever is chsen I shall appint ver it. Fr wh is like Me, and wh will summn Me int curt? And wh then is the shepherd wh can stand against Me? Jer. 49:20 Therefre hear the plan f the LORD which He has planned against Edm, and His purpses which He has purpsed against the inhabitants f Teman: surely they will drag them ff, even the little nes f the flck; surely He will make their pasture deslate because f them. Jer. 49:21 The earth has quaked at the nise f their dwnfall. There is an utcry! The nise f it has been heard at the Red Sea. Histrically, Edm saw their destructin as a natin at the hands f the Rmans But the destructin Jeremiah talks abut seems much greater...it s t be a perpetual ruin That hasn t happened yet S the ultimate fulfillment f these verses fr Edm awaits a future day Plus the references t eternal darkness and the call t return back dn t make sense in the case f the Rman cnquering Like all f Isaiah s prphecies, we re lking at bth a near term fulfillment (Rmans) and a future prmise wven tgether T identify what the future fulfillment will be, I need t give yu sme additinal backgrund briefly Using symbls, Rev 12 describes Israel (the wman) being persecuted by Satan (the dragn) and Gd respnding by giving Israel a special refuge in the desert (listen t ur Revelatin study t learn the details) And we re tld that this remnant f Israel is prtected in this refuge fr 3.5 years until Christ s return Micah describes this prvisin fr the Jewish remnant this way: Mic. 2:12 I will surely assemble all f yu, Jacb, I will surely gather the remnant f Israel. I will put them tgether like sheep in the fld; Like a flck in the midst f its pasture They will be nisy with men Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 7 Mic. 2:13 The breaker ges up befre them; They break ut, pass thrugh the gate and g ut by it. S their king ges n befre them, And the LORD at their head. In verse 12, the Hebrew is very imprtant Gd will put Israel tgether like sheep in a fld, prtecting them during the secnd half f Tribulatin But the wrd fr fld is a unique Hebrew wrd that nly appears here in scripture It s the Hebrew wrd btsrah The usual wrd fr fld is miklaah (Hab 3:17) This wrd is btsrah, the same wrd in Jer 49:13 It als means fld, like a pen But it clearly cnnects back t the place in Edm S Gd places the Jews fleeing the Antichrist in Btsrah, which is mdern city f Petra Where Raiders f the Lst Ark 3 was filmed Part f Edm Then at the end f Tribulatin as Christ returns t rescue the Jewish peple frm We see this if we skip ahead t Isa 63: Is. 63:1 Wh is this wh cmes frm Edm, With garments f glwing clrs frm Bzrah, This One wh is majestic in His apparel, Marching in the greatness f His strength? It is I wh speak in righteusness, mighty t save. Is. 63:2 Why is Yur apparel red, And Yur garments like the ne wh treads in the wine press? Is. 63:3 I have trdden the wine trugh alne, And frm the peples there was n man with Me. I als trd them in My anger And trampled them in My wrath; And their lifebld is sprinkled n My garments, And I stained all My raiment Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 8 Is. 63:4 Fr the day f vengeance was in My heart, And My year f redemptin has cme. Is. 63:5 I lked, and there was n ne t help, And I was astnished and there was n ne t uphld; S My wn arm brught salvatin t Me, And My wrath upheld Me. Is. 63:6 I trd dwn the peples in My anger And made them drunk in My wrath, And I pured ut their lifebld n the earth. Wh is this Wh cmes frm Edm and Bzrah having destryed the peple there in a day f vengeance? Christ, wh at His secnd cming rescues the Jews hiding in Btzrah Micah 2:13 while destrying the city and making it an eternal waste This is why Isaiah can say in chapter 21 that when mrning cmes (Christ s return) it will still be night fr Edm Yet there is als a call in Aramaic fr the Jews t cme back, return with Christ t Mt Zin S fr Edm, the puzzle piece is that upn His return the Lrd will prepare a place f rescue fr Israel frm within their enemy s land And destry them as an eternal testimny Finally, chapter 21 gives us anther shrt descriptin f a judgment against Arabia Is. 21:13 The racle abut Arabia. In the thickets f Arabia yu must spend the night, O caravans f Dedanites. Is. 21:14 Bring water fr the thirsty, O inhabitants f the land f Tema, Meet the fugitive with bread. Is. 21:15 Fr they have fled frm the swrds, Frm the drawn swrd, and frm the bent bw And frm the press f battle. Is. 21:16 Fr thus the Lrd said t me, In a year, as a hired man wuld cunt it, all the splendr f Kedar will terminate; Is. 21:17 and the remainder f the number f bwmen, the mighty men f the sns f Kedar, will be few; fr the LORD Gd f Israel has spken Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 9 Arabia is a regin cnsisting f multiple Arab tribes Tday thse tribes have been unified int a single kingdm headed by the Saudi tribe, s we have Saudi Arabia In these verses yu see the regin described in terms f the tribes f Isaiah s day The Dedan and Tema and Kedar tribes In the span f ne year, Isaiah says, these tribes will experience war t As Assyria pressed suth and invading natin after natin, the refugees flded in Arabia Eventually the Assyrians invaded and cnquered Arabia and these tribes t There desn t seem t be any distant prphetic significance t these verses, thugh this regin is clsely cnnected t Edm and may be caught up in Edm future destructin Chapter deals entirely with Jerusalem itself Is. 22:1 The racle cncerning the valley f visin. What is the matter with yu nw, that yu have all gne up t the husetps? Is. 22:2 Yu wh were full f nise, Yu bisterus twn, yu exultant city; Yur slain were nt slain with the swrd, Nr did they die in battle. Is. 22:3 All yur rulers have fled tgether, And have been captured withut the bw; All f yu wh were fund were taken captive tgether, Thugh they had fled far away. Is. 22:4 Therefre I say, Turn yur eyes away frm me, Let me weep bitterly, D nt try t cmfrt me cncerning the destructin f the daughter f my peple. Is. 22:5 Fr the Lrd GOD f hsts has a day f panic, subjugatin and cnfusin In the valley f visin, A breaking dwn f walls And a crying t the muntain. Is. 22:6 Elam tk up the quiver With the charits, infantry and hrsemen; And Kir uncvered the shield Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 10 Is. 22:7 Then yur chicest valleys were full f charits, And the hrsemen tk up fixed psitins at the gate. Is. 22:8 And He remved the defense f Judah. In that day yu depended n the weapns f the huse f the frest, Is. 22:9 And yu saw that the breaches In the wall f the city f David were many; And yu cllected the waters f the lwer pl. Is. 22:10 Then yu cunted the huses f Jerusalem And tre dwn huses t frtify the wall. Is. 22:11 And yu made a reservir between the tw walls Fr the waters f the ld pl. But yu did nt depend n Him wh made it, Nr did yu take int cnsideratin Him wh planned it lng ag. Is. 22:12 Therefre in that day the Lrd GOD f hsts called yu t weeping, t wailing, T shaving the head and t wearing sackclth. Is. 22:13 Instead, there is gaiety and gladness, Killing f cattle and slaughtering f sheep, Eating f meat and drinking f wine: Let us eat and drink, fr tmrrw we may die. Is. 22:14 But the LORD f hsts revealed Himself t me, Surely this iniquity shall nt be frgiven yu Until yu die, says the Lrd GOD f hsts. Isaiah speaks against Jerusalem, which is the valley f visin It s the place in which Isaiah lives and receives his visins And the muntains that surrund Jerusalem give the impressin that it is in a valley Other details tell us this is Jerusalem (v.9 & 10) The prud and cnfident ppulatin f Jerusalem are described in v. 2 But Isaiah says their sin wn t be judged by the swrd They will starve t death This cmes frm the siege f the city by Babyln almst 100 years after Isaiah wrte his bk Elam and Kir are the ancient names fr the Mesptamia, r Babyln They attack the city and break thrugh the walls This is a day brught by the Lrd as judgment fr Israel s sins as a natin 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 11 S it s a natinal judgment 2Chr. 36:15 The LORD, the Gd f their fathers, sent wrd t them again and again by His messengers, because He had cmpassin n His peple and n His dwelling place; 2Chr. 36:16 but they cntinually mcked the messengers f Gd, despised His wrds and scffed at His prphets, until the wrath f the LORD arse against His peple, until there was n remedy. 2Chr. 36:17 Therefre He brught up against them the king f the Chaldeans wh slew their yung men with the swrd in the huse f their sanctuary, and had n cmpassin n yung man r virgin, ld man r infirm; He gave them all int his hand. Jeremiah s lamentatins describe the murning f rjerusalem during this terrible time Lam. 4:9 Better are thse slain with the swrd Than thse slain with hunger; Fr they pine away, being stricken Fr lack f the fruits f the field. Lam. 4:10 The hands f cmpassinate wmen Biled their wn children; They became fd fr them Because f the destructin f the daughter f my peple. Lam. 4:11 The LORD has accmplished His wrath, He has pured ut His fierce anger; And He has kindled a fire in Zin Which has cnsumed its fundatins. Lam. 4:12 The kings f the earth did nt believe, Nr did any f the inhabitants f the wrld, That the adversary and the enemy Culd enter the gates f Jerusalem. The latter verses I read in Isaiah 22 discuss the ways the peple try t frtify the walls and avid capture And then Isaiah mves ur fcus t an earlier time and upn tw specific peple These are men wh lived in Jerusalem during the siege f the Assyrians upn Jerusalem He uses them as examples f faithfulness vs. unfaithfulness amng the leaders f Israel 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 12 Remember, the captivity that begins with Babyln starts a perid f Jewish exile and punishment that last until tday and will nt cnclude until Jesus return Dan 2 explains this perid fr us And Luke 21:24 calls it the times f the Gentiles During this time, Gd uses Isaiah t explain hw He will rely n human leaders t guide them Ultimately they must lk t Gd as their leader ut f exile These tw men becme examples f gd and bad leaders during the future exile under the Babylnians Is. 22:15 Thus says the Lrd GOD f hsts, Cme, g t this steward, T Shebna, wh is in charge f the ryal husehld, Is. 22:16 What right d yu have here, And whm d yu have here, That yu have hewn a tmb fr yurself here, Yu wh hew a tmb n the height, Yu wh carve a resting place fr yurself in the rck? Is. 22:17 Behld, the LORD is abut t hurl yu headlng, O man. And He is abut t grasp yu firmly Is. 22:18 And rll yu tightly like a ball, T be cast int a vast cuntry; There yu will die And there yur splendid charits will be, Yu shame f yur master s huse. Is. 22:19 I will depse yu frm yur ffice, And I will pull yu dwn frm yur statin. Remember, we re lking nw at cntempraries f Isaiah, which means this is befre the Babylnian captivity Shebna is the ne respnsible fr the ryal husehld f Judah This was the psitin f pwer immediately belw King It was the chief f staff and mre The same kind f psitin that Jseph held under Pharah 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 13 Shebna believes himself imprtant In fact, he s prepared a fancy tmb fr himself in Jerusalem as his burial place But Gd will bring him dwn frm his ffice His ffenses are nt listed in the text, but knwing what we knw abut the state f Judah in the day f her judgment Idl wrshipping, etc. It s lgical t cnclude that as a chief leader, Shebna played a majr rle in instigating the evil in Judah S Gd prmises t judge Shebna by preventing him frm ever using his fancy tmb Shebna will die utside the city in exile Gd takes him t a far away cuntry and strips him f his pwer The Assyrians apparently captured Shebna at sme pint during their siege and deprt him t Assyria, never t return Since the Assyrians never fully cnquered the city f Jerusalem, mst f the city avided capture, as Gd had prmised But Gd allws Shebna t be taken as punishment fr his pr stewardship f Judah In place f Shebna, Gd will raise up a new leader: Is. 22:20 Then it will cme abut in that day, That I will summn My servant Eliakim the sn f Hilkiah, Is. 22:21 And I will clthe him with yur tunic And tie yur sash securely abut him. I will entrust him with yur authrity, And he will becme a father t the inhabitants f Jerusalem and t the huse f Judah. Is. 22:22 Then I will set the key f the huse f David n his shulder, When he pens n ne will shut, When he shuts n ne will pen Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 14 Is. 22:23 I will drive him like a peg in a firm place, And he will becme a thrne f glry t his father s huse. Is. 22:24 S they will hang n him all the glry f his father s huse, ffspring and issue, all the least f vessels, frm bwls t all the jars. Is. 22:25 In that day, declares the LORD f hsts, the peg driven in a firm place will give way; it will even break ff and fall, and the lad hanging n it will be cut ff, fr the LORD has spken. This transitin takes place even befre Shebna leaves the city, as evidenced by 2Kings 18 A delegatin is sent t meet the army f Assyria as it surrunds Jerusalem 2Kings 18:18 When they called t the king, Eliakim the sn f Hilkiah, wh was ver the husehld, and Shebnah the scribe and Jah the sn f Asaph the recrder, came ut t them. Shebna has been reduced t a scribe and Eliakim is in charge Sme hw later, Shebna was taken captive by the Assyrians The descriptin f Eliakim as leader is interesting He is a father t the peple The key t the huse f David rests n his shulders And with this key, what he pens and shuts remains s Sunds familiar desn t it? Describing Himself, Jesus says: Rev. 3:7 And t the angel f the church in Philadelphia write: He wh is hly, wh is true, wh has the key f David, wh pens and n ne will shut, and wh shuts and n ne pens, says this: Eliakim is als described as a thrne f glry t his father s huse And all the glry f his father s huse hangs n him Then curiusly, this firm peg n which the father s glry rests is ne day brken ff and the lad n it, the huse f David, is cut ff 2010 Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.

Isaiah 21-22! 15 Frm all the imagery here, the cmparisn t Christ seems bvius In ther wrds, Eliakim is nly a temprary slutin t Israel s leadership prblems The real slutin is fund in anther leader, Christ Wh fits all these descriptins perfectly Including being cut ff in a day, and Israel is cut ff with Christ fr a time Remember Daniel s predictin f the Messiah: Dan. 9:24 Seventy weeks have been decreed fr yur peple and yur hly city, t finish the transgressin, t make an end f sin, t make atnement fr iniquity, t bring in everlasting righteusness, t seal up visin and prphecy and t anint the mst hly place. Dan. 9:25 S yu are t knw and discern that frm the issuing f a decree t restre and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-tw weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and mat, even in times f distress. Dan. 9:26 Then after the sixty-tw weeks the Messiah will be cut ff and have nthing... Finally, Zech makes a similar pint cncerning Gd s plan t replace Israel s faulty leadership with a true leader ne day Zech. 10:3 My anger is kindled against the shepherds, And I will punish the male gats; Fr the LORD f hsts has visited His flck, the huse f Judah, And will make them like His majestic hrse in battle. Zech. 10:4 Frm them will cme the crnerstne, Frm them the tent peg, Frm them the bw f battle, Frm them every ruler, all f them tgether. Zech. 10:5 They will be as mighty men, Treading dwn the enemy in the mire f the streets in battle; And they will fight, fr the LORD will be with them; And the riders n hrses will be put t shame. Zech. 10:6 I will strengthen the huse f Judah, And I will save the huse f Jseph, And I will bring them back, Because I have had cmpassin n them; And they will be as thugh I had nt rejected them, Fr I am the LORD their Gd and I will answer them Verse By Verse Ministry f San Antni ( May be cpied and distributed prvided the dcument is reprduced in its entirety, including this cpyright statement, and n fee is cllected fr its distributin.
