1 Wildcat Nation, Here s the Lawrence North athletics weekly update for the week of December 3, Lawrence North Athletics Community Partner of the Week: Kroger Supermarket A big thank you to the Kroger on Fall Creek Road for supporting the LN cheerleaders Stuff the Bus campaign this past Saturday. The LN cheerleaders were out in force collecting food and personal items for the LN food pantry. See the pictures below. Thank you Kroger and the LN Cheer Squad for helping us replenish the LN And Go Cats Food Pantry!
2 LN Student-Athletes of the Week Jayla Smith, Basketball and Logan Carrender, Wrestling Smith, a sophomore, had a great week leading the Wildcats to two MIC wins over Carmel and Ben Davis, scoring 32 and 19 points, respectively. She was also named the IBCA/Subway Indiana Girls Basketball Player of the Week! Carrender, a junior wrestling at 106 lbs, went 5-0 at the Bloomington Invitational and is now 11-1 this season. Great job, Jayla and Logan!
3 Cheerleading: Our LN cheer squad was out in the community at the Kroger on Fall Creek Road this Saturday, collecting food and personal items for the LN And Go Cats Food Pantry. Their annual event helped replenish the pantry at a critical time of the year for many Lawrence Township families in need. They even had a special guest, as Superintendent Dr. Shawn Smith stopped by to contribute to the event. Thanks, ladies! Great work! Pictures courtesy of Alanna Ampil.
4 Boys Basketball: It s On that s right, the big game between LN & LC is this week! IBCA #15 Lawrence North (1-1, 0-0 MIC) hosts IBCA #9 Lawrence Central (1-1, 0-1 MIC) on Wednesday, December 5 th in the Keefer Gym. LN is coming off a quality road win over Marion (3A #6, IBCA #18). Tony Perkins led the team with 28 points, Jared Hankins had 17 points with four 3-pointers, and D.J. Hughes had 8 points with three big-time monster slam dunks in the second half. The Bears suffered their first loss of the season last week to the #2 Carmel Greyhounds, $6 Pre-sale tickets are on sale now in the LN athletic office until 2:00pm on Wednesday. Tickets will be $10 at the game, so get your tickets early! This game will sell out! This is also the MIC Network Game of the Week! The game will be livestreamed on the MIC Network:
5 Girls Basketball: The #6 (4A) girls basketball team (9-1, 2-1 MIC) continued their winning ways last week. The Cats knocked off Carmel, 65-55, as well as Ben Davis, Jayla Smith led the team with 32 and 19 points, respectively. The team will open up the Marion County tournament at Lawrence Central on Tuesday, December 4 th at 7:00pm and then will host the Southport/Brebeuf winner on Thursday, December 6 th at 7:00pm. Girls Swimming & Diving: The girls team is now 3-1 after splitting the Ben Davis-Pike double dual. The girls team beat Ben Davis but suffered their first loss of the season to Pike, Picking up individual wins for LN were Carol Ludington in the 50 free, Brooke Atkins in the 100 fly, and Kelly Matsuoka in the 100 free. The team will host Noblesville on Tuesday, December 4 th starting at 5:30pm. Boys Swimming & Diving: The boys team continued their winning ways last week with a pair of victories over Ben Davis and Pike. The Cats beat the Giants, , and also took down the Red Devils, Individual event winners were Joe Grese in the 200 free & 100 back, Bennett Vail in the 200 IM & 100 fly, Nick Hamersly in the 50 free & 100 free, Brayden Laycoax in diving, Jacob Penrose in the 500 free, and Jasper Suiter in the 100 breast. Lawrence North (4-0) will host Noblesville this Tuesday night at 5:30pm. Wrestling: The wrestlers are currently 7-5 this season after going 3-2 at the Bloomington Invitational this weekend. The Cats beat Columbus North (68-9), Bloomington North (64-12), and Martinsville (57-18) but fell to Bloomington South (50-20) and Center Grove (41-30). Logan Carrender led the team going 5-0, followed by Karsten Harshbarger, Brody Smith, Harold Jones and Deon Pettiford, all going 4-1. The team will participating in the Calumet Invitational on Saturday.

7 All-Sport Passes On Sale Now Prorated! Adults: $50.00 High School Student/Senior Citizens (65+): $40.00 Middle School/Elementary Student: $20.00 Individual game day tickets range in price from $ $10.00, depending upon the event. If you plan on going to several home events at the freshman, JV, or varsity level then the All-Sports pass is the way to go! All-Sport passes can be purchased in the LN athletic office. A free LN sports decal to proudly display on your car is included with each All-Sport pass purchased!
8 Activity Bus Sign Up for Winter Winter activity buses with operate Monday Thursday, picking up at Door #11 at 6:30pm. In order to ride the activity bus, you must sign up each season (Fall, Winter, Spring).
