5 FIQH CLASS 2 - LESSON 1 EXISTENCE OF ALLAH Long ago there lived a wise king who ruled over a kingdom in which some of the people believed in Allah and some did not. To find out who was right and who was wrong, the wise king decided that the believers and the non-believers should sit together and discuss it. When the time arrived for the discussion, the unbelievers came but the wise old man who was a believer did not come. Everyone waited and waited but the old man still did not come. The unbelievers said that he had not come because they were right and that there was no god. At last the wise old man came. Everyone wanted to know why he was so late. So the king asked him to explain why he was so late. The man explained that he had left home in time but to get to there he had to cross a river and when he reached the river there was no boat there. He then told everyone that while he was waiting for a boat, some pieces of wood suddenly started coming out of the water by themselves and fixing themselves to each other with nails until a boat was made all by itself. It took a while for this boat to make itself and so I wait, that is why I am late. Everyone in the court listened. The man then continued with his explanation. All the unbelievers were very angry and called the old man a liar. The wise old man asked the people why they did not believe his story of the boat being made by itself, while they wanted everyone to believe that this whole world and everything in it had been made by itself, as they did not believe in Allah as the Creator. None of the unbelievers could answer the wise old man, and so the believers won the discussion. Page 3 Fiqh Class 2

To eat too much until you feel sick is Makruh Color in the picture and see if you can draw a few more things which are also Makruh. 15 FIQH CLASS 2 - LESSON 9 THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ADHAN & IQAMAH There are only 3 differences between Adhan and Iqamah: The 1 st åjäjô òa åéé}¼»òa - ALLAHU AKBAR is s said 4 times in Adhan and only 2 times in Iqamah The last line: åéé}¼»a úüêa äé}»êa òü - LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH - is said 2 times in Adhan and only 1 time in Iqamah Just after ø½äàä ô»a øjæîäa Óò¼ä ìïäy - HAYYA ALAA KHAIRIL A MAL and before åjäjô òa åéé}¼»òa, - ALLAHU AKBAR, you should say ÑòÝìv»A êoä Bä³ æfä³ - QAD QAAMATIS SALAAH, 2 times in Iqamah BUT never in Adhan. 16 FIQH CLASS 2 - LESSON 10 ADHAN AND IQAMAH TEST The child should know: - The whole Adhan with correct Makhraj and meaning. - The whole Iqamah with correct Makhraj and meaning. - The differences between Adhan and Iqamah. has been tested on Adhan and Iqamah and has performed satisfactorily. 17 FIQH CLASS 2 - LESSON 11 SALAAT - NUMBER OF RAKAATS Muslims pray 5 Salaat in a day, and each Salaat is divided into Rakaat. One Rakaat includes: The number of Rakaat in each Salaat is: - Fajr: 2 Rakaats. - Dhohr: 4 Rakaats. - Asr: 4 Rakaats. - Maghrib: 3 Rakaats. - Eisha: 4 Rakaats There is a special time of the day when each of these Salaat should be prayed. 18 FIQHCLASS 2 - LESSON 12 SALAAT TIMING Allah says in the Holy Qur'an: Establish Salaat from the declining of the sun till the darkness of the night and the morning recitation; Surely the morning recitation is witnessed. The above verse tells us that the timings of Salaat are: - When the sun declines - time for Dhohr and 'Asr Salaat - Darkness at night - time for Maghrib and Eisha Salaat - The morning recitation - time for Fajr Salaat. Dhohr + Asr Salaat together = Dhohrain Salaat Maghrib + Eisha Salaat together = Maghribain Salaat Timing in more detail: Fajr Salaat: From True Dawn up to Sunrise. Dhohrain Salaat: From Midday up to Sunset. Maghribain Salaat: From the time the sun sets (the redness in the sky disappears) up to Midnight. Although Allah has given us so much time in which to pray we should try to pray as soon as the time sets in for that Salaat (Fadhilat - best time), because we can not wait to thank Allah in the way He likes us to, for all the wonderful things He has given us. 28 FIQH CLASS 2 - LESSON 18 TASBEEH The Tasbeeh that we recite after our Salaat is known as the Tasbeeh of Bibi Fatima az- Zahra (a.s.), because, her father, our Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) gave it to her as a present. Bibi Fatima (A) used to work very hard in her house. Her father saw how hard she worked. So one day he told her that he was going to give her something that would be better than anything else in the world. He gave her 'Tasbeeh'. He told her that after every Salaat she should say: åjäjô òa åéé}¼»òa = Allah is the Greatest : 34 times êéé}¼ê» åfæàäzô»òa = All praise is to Allah: 33 times êéé}¼»a äæbäzæjåm = Glory to Allah: 33 times The Salaat is like a beautiful flower and the Tasbeeh of Bibi Fatima az-zahra (a.s.) gives that beautiful flower a beautiful smell. So after every Salaat we should recite the Tasbeeh of Bibi Fatima (a.s.) because we want our Salaat to be like a beautiful flower with a beautiful smell. Page 26 Fiqh Class 2

30 FIQH CLASS 2 - LESSON 20 SALAWAAT ëfìàäzå ø¾}a ìë ëfìàäzå Ó}¼ä ø ½äu ìáåèé}¼»òa O Allah! Send Your blessings on Prophet Muhammad and his Ahlulbayt (family). The family of the Prophet (s.a.w.) is called his Ahlulbayt. The Ahlul Bayt are: - Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). - His daughter, Bibi Fatima (a.s.) and - the 12 Imams (a.s.). Whenever you hear the name of our Holy Prophet or his family you should recite Salawaat. Our 12 th Imam (a.s.) is still alive. SO: When we hear or say the name of our 12 th Imam (a.s.) we should: - put our right hand on our head - bow down - and recite Salawat. When you are sitting in mosque and do not understand the lecture or Majlis, you should recite as many Salawaat as possible. When you recite Salawaat you are asking Allah to send His blessings to the Holy Prophet and his family. Inshallah on the day of Qiyamat (Judgment) the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and his family will ask Allah to forgive you in return for all the Salawaat you sent to them. Page 28 Fiqh Class 2

31 Exercise: SALAWAAT ëfìàäzå ø¾}a ìë ëfìàäzå Ó}¼ä ø½äu ìáåèé}¼»òa Color in the 14 beads that are on this special Tasbeeh of Salawaat for: - the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), - his daughter Bibi Fatima (a.s.) and - the 12 Imams(a.s.), =14.
