2 God is One If there are more than one person to administer a thing then sometimes there will be difference of opinion among them and that thing will not be run properly. Similarly, if there had been more than one person to run the world then the system of this world would have become disorganized. But we see that this world is properly ran. For example, the sun always rises from the east and sets in the west. Day comes after night and night comes after day. This proves this world is ran by one and only one. Question 1: How do we know that the administrator of this world is one? 1

3 Our prophets Allah has created this world in the best way. Allah wants that human beings lead their life according to His will so that He will best reward them on the day of Judgement. How do we know that how God wants us to lead life? To show this God sent down one lakh twentyfour thousand messengers approximately for the guidance of human beings who were all infallible. Among them first was Hazrat Adam (a.s.) and the last was our prophet Hazrat Mohammed Mustafa (s.a.w.s.). Among these apostles, Allah bestowed upon 313 apostles special status to which we call Rasool. Among these 313 rasool, Allah bestowed upon five Shariat who are called Ulul Azam. Their names are as under. 1. Hazrat Nooh (a.s.) 2. Hazrat Ibrahim (a.s.) 3. Hazrat Musa (a.s.) 4. Hazrat Isa (a.s.) 5. Hazrat Muhammed Mustafa (s.a.w.s.) 1: Which sort of life should we lead? Question 2: What arrangement God has made for the guidance of human beings? Question 3: Which rasool are called Ulul Azam? Write names also. 2

4 Honour of parents After Almighty Allah, Rasool, and Imams (a.s.) most kind are parents for human being. They take great pains for our comfort. They nurture us, educate us, and above they do not make us feel as if they never have any pain or feel uncomfortable by bestowing favors on us. Seeing us progress they feel real happiness. We thank Allah that He has bestowed upon us a bounty like parents. We must also thank parents and serve them. Whole heartedly we must always keep them happy and never disobey them. Those who do not keep their parents happy, Allah is also not happy with them. Our beloved Prophet (s.a.w.a.) has said that one cannot even smell the fragrance of heaven whose parents are displeased with him. Allah Almighty has said in Quran. And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. Question 1: What are the gratifications of parent upon their descendants? Question 2: How should descendants behave with their parents? Question 3: What consequences one will face if he displeases his parents? 3

5 Hazrat Fatema Zehra Salamullah Alaiha Five years after the announcement of prophethood a daughter was born to our prophet (s.a.w.a.) on 20th Jamadiul Saani at Mecca. She was named Fatima by the command of Allah. Hazrat Fatima (s.a.) was five years old when she lost her mother Hazrat Khadijat-al-Kubra. This was a time when the infidels use to create hurdles the prophet (s.a.w.s) in various ways. She (s.a.) use to comfort her father at this young age besides doing house hold work. She (s.a.) was married to Hazrat Ali (a.s.) one year after Hijrat from whom two sons Imam Hasan (a.s.) and Imam Husain (a.s.) and two daughters Hazrat Zainab (a.s.) and Hazrat umme Kulsoom (a.s.) were born to her by the beneficence of Allah. Hazrat Fatima (a.s.) was a great scholar and a great worshipper When Muslim women faced any worldly or religious difficulty, they consulted her (s.a.) and she (s.a.) guided them. She used to lead a very simple life. No beggar returned empty handed from her (s.a.) house. She considered the rights of the neighbors and behaved with their children quite affectionately. The status of Hazrat Fatima (a.s.) is very high in Islam. She is the chief of all women in this world and the hereafter. Question 1: Write the conditions of the childhood of Hazrat Fatima (a.s.) 6 Lies One man came to the Prophet (s.a.w.s.) and said I do offer prayers (Namaz) but also commit many sins. I am prepared to abstain from one of those sins. You (s.a.w.s) tell me which sin should I abstain from. Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said do not tell lies. That man pledged not to tell lies hence forth. After worlds people saw that he abstained from all the sins because whenever he desired to commit a sin he instantly realized that if he commits a sin and the prophet inquires then since he has pledge not to tell lies he will have to speak the truth and will have to undergo the punishment of the sin. Dear children! You saw that lie is the root of all sins and how that person abstained from all vices just because of not telling lies. Let us pledge not to tell lies always. Question 1: What is the benefit of not telling lies? 5

Age: In this year 1439H, he is 1184 years old. Imam e Zamana is our 12 th and Last Imam. Every Friday he gets a report of what we do from the angels recording our deeds with Allah s permission. He feels very sad if he sees that we have done something that is naughty or bad. Whenever we need help we must ask Allah through Imam Mahdi (A). Whenever we hear his name we should standup, bow down, put our hand on our head and recite Salawat. 6

8 Commands of Shariat Allah has sent Islam religion which shows us as to what things please Allah and what things displease Him and what command Allah has given for every action of our life. we also call these commands of Islam as commands of Shariat. These are five kinds of commands of Shariat. 1. Wajib 2. Haraam 3. Mustahab 4. Makruh 5. Mubah 1. Wajib Doing of that thing which Allah has made compulsory. Doing this is rewardful and avoiding it is sin. For example, praying five times a day, observing fasts of the month of Ramadan, replying to Salam Alayikum. 2. Haraam Avoiding that thing which has been made compulsory by Allah. Avoiding this is rewardful and doing it is sin. For example, telling lies, abusing, listening to songs. 3. Mustahab Performing an action which pleases Allah and we are rewarded but if we avoid it, it is not sin. For example, saying Bismillah before taking meal, Saying Salam Alayikum, reciting Azaan and Aqaamat before Namaz. 4. Makruh Avoiding an action which pleases God and we are rewarded but doing it is not sin. For example, urinating in a standing posture, offering Namaz with a dress upon which there is a picture of any creature. 5. Mubah Performing or avoiding of an action is equal and it is not rewardful nor a sin. For example, walking and moving around. Question 1: How many kinds of commands of shariat are there? 9 Method of ablution (Wudhu) Ablution should be performed according to the following order: 1. First of all intention should be made that I (he or she) am performing ablution to gain nearness to God. 2. Then hands should be washed upto wrist twice. 3. Then gargling should be done thrice. 4. Then water should be poured in the nose thrice. 5. Then face should be washed lengthwise from the place where hairs grow upto the end of chin and breadth wise approximately from one ear upto another ear. 6. Then right hand should be washed from elbow upto the finger tips. 7. Then left hand should be washed from elbow upto the finger tips. 8. Then Masah of the head should be done which means the fingers of the right hand should be kept on the upper part of the head and stretched about the length of a foot. 9. Then Masah of the right foot should be done with right hand which means that hand should be stretched from toe upto joint. 10. Similarly, Masah of the left foot shoud be done with the left hand. 10 Prayer (Namaz) Every Muslim must pray five times a day. Offering prayers pleases Allah, Rasool (s.a.w.s.) and Imams (a.s.). Person offering prayers always remains clean and tidy and abstains from vices. Namaz saves us from hell and makes us deserve heaven. Names and number of everyday prayers are as under: 1. Fajar Two Rakat. 2. Zohar Four Rakat 3. Asr Four Rakat. 4. Maghrib Three Rakat. 5. Isha Four Rakat. Timings of prayers The time for Fajr prayer is from dawn till sunrise. The time for Zohar and Asr prayer is from dimming of sun till sunset. The time for Maghrib and Isha prayer is from Sunset till midnight. Question 1: Write the benefits of offering prayers?
