1 Page 1 of 6 Subject:Select List for the posts of Lecturer 10+2 (Information Technology) in School Education Department Notification No.08 PSC (DR-S) of 2018 Dated: Whereas, the School Education Department referred 22 posts (OM:13,RBA:04, SC:01,ST:02, ALC:01 & SLC:01) of Lecturer in the discipline of Information Technologyto the Public Service Commission for being filled up from amongst the suitable candidates; and Whereas,the Commission notified these posts vide Notification No. 09-PSC (DR-P) of 2016 dated ; and Whereas, in response to the above notification, 1139applications were received; and Whereas, the written test of the candidates for selection was conducted on in which 596candidates appeared. The result of the written test was declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/2018/02dated: in pursuance of Rule 32(a) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examinations) Rules, 2005 and Rule 40 of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 1980 as amended from time to time and 68 candidates were declared to have qualified the written test and called for interview; and Whereas, the interviews of the shortlistedcandidates were conducted w.e.f to with the assistance of experts from outside the state. Whereas In SWP No.957/2016 & M.P. No.1/2016 titled Vikas Sawhney and Others V/S State of J&K & Others, the Hon ble Court passed the following direction dated :-.. Meanwhile subject to the objections and till next date before the bench, respondent No.2 is directed to allow the petitioners to participate in the selection process for the post of Lecturer 10+2 in the discipline of Information Technology in School Education Department at their own risk and responsibility. However, mere participation shall not create any right in favour of the petitioners and their result shall not be declared till further orders. It is further provided that the process of ten posts of Lecturer 10+2 in the discipline of Information Technology shall not be finalized but the respondents may go ahead with the selection process. However, selection of rest of the posts shall remain subject to the outcome of the writ petition.

2 Page 2 of 6 Whereas, in pursuance of above reproduced orders of the Hon ble High Court, selection against ten posts in OM has been kept withheld. Now, therefore, on the basis of the performance in the interview coupled with the weight-age accorded to the marks secured in written test in pursuance of Rule 51 of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 1980 as amended from time to time and other related parameters, the Merit of the candidates who have appeared in the interview is enclosed as Annexure- A to this Notification. Consequent upon the above, the select list of the candidates against the available posts is given in Annexure-B to this Notification. Further, the marks obtained by the candidates who appeared in the written examination on are given in Annexure-C to this notification for information of the candidates. Note:- 1. The Commission reserves the right to have certificates/documents of the candidates verified, if it is at any stage found expedient to do so.the Select List is purely provisional andis subject to the outcome of writ petitions pending before any competent Court of law.
