The Servants of Allah has no inclination to indecent things

Dear brothers and sisters I was reciting verses from Surrah Furqan. I have already explained some of these verses during my last Khutbas. In these verses Allah Rabul-Alamin describing the most important characteristics and behaviors of Ibadur-Rehman "the true servants of Allah Rabulalamin". Those important deeds which distinguish Ibad-ur-rehman from Ibad-us-Shitan. Those deeds and those specific characteristics which naturally emerge in a person when he consciously decide to convert himself from Ibad-us-Shitan to Ibad-ur-Rehman.

When he decides that I am now man of Allah, I am now actually slave of Allah and His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). When he decides to say from the core of his heart. Surely my Prayer, all my acts of worship, and my living and my dying are for Allah alone, the Lord of the whole universe. Those important characteristics are like that true servants of Allah walk humbly on the earth and when ignorant and Jahals address them with bad and harsh words, they try to ignore them and say them "peace to you" and who spend their nights in Ibadat and standing before Allah Rabul-alamin, who pray for forgiveness and mercy of Allah and who spend their wealth in the way of Allah. The true servants of Allah pray only and only in front of Allah Rabbulalamin and who never kill anyone nor commit adultery. But if unfortunately anyone commits these sins then azab on the Day of Judgment will be doubled for him. But this azab of Jahnam is not for those servants of Allah who repent, make Taubah and do righteous deeds. The true servants of Merciful Allah do not bear witness to falsehood. They do not give evidence in regard to a false thing in order to prove it right and they do not speak false and tell a lie.

After describing these characteristics, Allah Rabbul-Alamin describes another very important and distinguished characteristic of Ibad-ur-Rehman. This is indeed one of the outstanding characteristics of the true believers and that is و ا ذ ا م روا ب الل غ و م روا ك ر ام ا (And the servants of the Merciful are those:) who; if they have ever to pass by what is vain or useless, they pass by like dignified people: The Arabic word laghv implies all, that is vain, useless and meaningless and it also covers the truth less and false stories and tales. The true servants pass by in a dignified manner if ever they come across "what is vain" or "useless. They do not stay there to enjoy the "filth" of moral impurity, obscenity or foul language, nor do they intentionally go anywhere to hear or see or take part in any sort of "filth". If by chance they see such things being indulged in, they keep away and avoid them Ibn Hisham has related on the authority of Ibn Ishaq that when the disbelievers of Makkah could not stop the message of the Holy Prophet from spreading, in spite of their best efforts, Nadr bin Harith said to the people of Quraish: "The way you are responding this man will give you nothing. Mohammad has lived a lifetime among you. Until now, morally he was the best of your men: he was the most truthful and

the most trustworthy person among you. Now you say that he is magician and enchanter and a poet and a madman. Who will believe all this? Don't the people know the way the magician talk? Don't they know the enchanters and the way they conduct their business? Are they unaware of poetry and the states of madness? Which of these blames sticks to Muhammad (upon whom be Allah's peace) by exploiting which you would turn the people's attention away from him? Look! I will tell you how to deal with him." Then he left Makkah for Iraq and managed to get from there legends and tales about the kings of Iran and Rustam and Isfandyar and started to arrange tale-telling parties to distract the people from the Qur'an and to absorb them in the tales. Thats why Allah says in Surra-Luqman verse 6 There are some human beings who purchase a delightful and fascinating diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, and to make fun of it. For such people there will be humiliating punishment.

And according to Ibn 'Abbas, Nadr brought singing girls for this purpose. Whenever he heard that someone was coming under the Holy Prophet's influence, he would impose a singing girl with the instruction: "Feed him and entertain him with your songs so that he is absorbed in you and distracted from the other side." The same explanation of lahv al-hadith has been reported from a large number of the Companions and their immediate followers. Abdullah bin Mas'ud was asked, 'What does lahv al-hadith mean in this verse?" He said thrice categorically. 'By God! it means singing." Similar traditions have been reported from scholars like 'Abdullah bin' Abbas, Jabir bin 'Abdullah, Mujahid, 'Ikrimah, Said bin Jubair, Hasan Basri. Qazi Abu Bakr has related in the Ahkam al Qur'an a Hadith from Hadrat 'Abdullah bin Mubarak and Imam Malik on the authority of Hadrat Anas, saying, that the Holy Prophet said: 'He who hears the song of a singing-girl in a musical concert, will have molten lead poured into his ear on the Day of Judgement" Dear brothers and sisters, this was the same device which the haughty and cunningcriminals of the nations have been employing in every age. They try to get the common people so absorbed in fun and sport and musical entertainment's in the

name of culture that they forget the real aim of life and they do not even feel what destruction they are driving themselves into. Thats why Allah Rabbul-Alamin Most High has said in Surra-Al-mominoon: Successful are the believers, who are humble in their prayers, and who turn away from pointless talk And in Surra-Al-furqan verse 72 Those who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they pass by pointless and useless talk, pass by with dignity, And in Surra Al-Qasas verse 55: And when they heard vain and useless talk, they turn away from it, saying, "Our deeds are for us and your deeds are for you: peace be on you: we do not seek the way of the ignorant."

Actually dear brothers and sisters, Ibad-ur-Rehman feel the burden of responsibility at all times. They know what important duty has been assigned to them and what important questions will be asked on the Day of Judgment. If the Holy Quran had to be revealed on to a mountain, then the mountain would be reduced to dust through the fear of Almighty Allah. We propound such parables to people that they may reflect, that they may think. Ibad-ur-rehman regards the world as a place of test, and life as the limited time given for the test. This feeling makes him behave seriously and responsibly throughout life just like the student who is taking an examination paper with his whole mind, body and soul absorbed in it. Just as the student who knows and feels that each moment of the limited time at his disposal is important and decisive for his future life, and is not inclined to waste it, so the Believer also spends each

moment of his life on works which are useful and productive in their ultimate results. So much so that even in matters of recreation and sport, he makes a choice of only those things which prepare him for higher ends in life and do not result in mere wastage of time. Prophet said, all those sports are forbidden which are only for time passing. Select those sports which give you strength, improve your health or you will improve your abilities for Jihad. Dear brothers and sisters, the true is a person who possesses a right thinking mind, pure nature and fine taste: he has no inclination to indecent things: he can talk useful and healthy things but cannot indulge in idle talk: His ears are immune from abusive language, back-biting; lying, dirty songs and indecent talk. The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: "Do not bring the flames of the fire upon your faces by involving yourselves in vain and useless activities." Hazrat Ali (a.s.) said: "Every speech in which there is no remembrance of Allah is vain and useless

I was describing important characteristic of Ibad-ur-rehman and that is the true servants of Allah never ever involve in the useless and vain activities. Dear brothers and sisters, most of us who are sitting here are students. We all know that during exam period the purpose of education is made very clear as it is crunch time. Exam preparation means a total change in activity for students. Both mosques and libraries normally occupied with the students. People who normally take pride in their appearance, all of a sudden are dressed shabbily. Some guys even keep "Exam beards". We all experienced such things during examination So we can see very clear patterns of thinking here and how it transform a person's behaviours radically. Everyone clearly realizes that they have to pass. What will you tell to those students who instead of preparing for the exam, who instead of solving the examination paper, just involved in vain and useless things? You definitely define them as a student who is mad or have no concerns with the exam. Dear brothers and sisters likewise, there is one examination, one test which we all are a part of. Each day that passes, we are monitored and are examined. Dear brothers and sisters, this is the real test which Allah has put us in. It is the matter of

death and what we will face after death. The day when mankind will stand before Allah (swt) on the Day of Judgment definitely and Allah will question us about our actions or deeds we performed in our life. This is the exam that every single human who has existed in this dunya, from the time of Adam to the last person to live in this dunya will face. And on that day, we will not have the ability to go back to this world and to make our selves better. There will be no re-sits and supplies and the decision on that day made by Allah the supreme will be decisive and final, and nobody will be able to change it. Either it will be the Bliss of Jannah or the darkness of jahannam. All Say in Quran To every person, a term is appointed, and when their term is come, they cannot remain behind a single moment, nor can they get ahead of it. Actually Ibad-ur-rehman, know the truth of this life. That life about which Prophet Muhammad was saying that Be in the world like a traveller, or like a passer on, and consider yourself as of the dead. The life about which Allah says in Quran that:

إ نم ا ه ذ ه الح ي اة ال دن ي ا م ت اع و إ ن الا خ ر ة ه ي د ار ال ق ر ا The life of this world is transient and for few days, whereas the Hereafter (Akhrat), is the permanent to reside. In Surrah Al-Kahf Allah warns about this life that The Day when they see, what they had been warned against, then they will feel as though they had remained in the world no more than an hour of a day. Allah tells to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) و ا ن ذ ر ه م ي و م الا ز ف ة (O Prophet), then warn them of the Day that has drawn near Hadrat Abu Sa id al-khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah s Messenger (may Allah s blessings and peace be upon him) as saying: How can I be at ease when the one angel who is ready to blow the big sound or horn for announcement of day of Judgement and has put that trumpet to his mouth, inclined his ear and bent his forehead waiting to see when he will be ordered to blow it.

On the Authority of Abdullah bin Mas ud (ra) who said: Once the Messenger of Allah (saw), slept on a mat made of date palm leaves and when he awoke the impressions of the mat were visible on his body. We (the Sahabah) said: O messenger of Allah (saw) may we prepare soft bedding for you? Allah s Messenger ﷺ said I have nothing to do with this world, I am in this world like a rider who halts in the shade of a tree for a short period of time and after taking some rest, resumes his journey leaving the tree behind. [Tirmidhi] This was the life of Prophet and this is the actual worth of life after which we are running, after which we are spending all our strengths, all our efforts. Abdullah ibn Umar relates that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) once held my shoulders and said: "Live in this world as (if you are) a wayfarer or a stranger." And Abdullah ibn Umar used to say: "If you live till night, then do not wait for the next day and if you wake up in the morning do not have hope that you will live till the night. And take (advantage) from your health before your sickness and take advantage of your life before your death. [Bukhari and Tirmidhi]

Dear brothers and sisters life is running towards end. Every breath you take is a step towards death. Anything which can be counted is finite and will come to an end. Just think that the number of people who resided in the graveyards are more than those who are living on this earth. In this life Allah has given us Islam and the shariah rules to guide us. Allah has struck a bargain with us. And what is this bargain? Those of us who obey Allah and his messenger and remain steadfast in the deen of Islam, observe all their actions according to Islam, Allah will reward them with the jannah, and those who failed they will be thrown into the hellfire.

O ye who believe! shall I point out to you a bargain that will save you from a painful punishment? It is that you should believe in Allah and His Messenger, and should exert your utmost in Allah's Way with your wealth and your selves. This would be best for you if you only knew. Dear brothers and sisters are we exerting our utmost efforts in the way of Allah? ok not utmost, are we exerting like we exert for passing our exams or PhD, ok not exerting like exams or PhDs, do we ever think about death and the Day of Judgment. If answer is yes and we believe in death and the Day of Judgment then where is the credibility of Muslims, why 1 million people killed in Iraq, whey 100,000 Muslims killed in Kashmir, why 2 million Muslims killed in Afghanistan, why non-muslims grabbed our all resources, why the dignity of Muslims are not more than a dead crippled goat or sheep. Why the men, women and children are crying for help, crying for life and no one is giving them support. Dear brothers and sisters once prophet said to Bani-Hashim during early days of Dawa, Should I tell you the Qalma after believing on, you will rule upon the world and Qasir-o-Qisra and Arab-o-Ajam will be under your governess. Abu-Jahl and Abu-lahb said tell us those Qalmas. Prophet said then say Qulo LA ILAHA ILL ALLAH. Do we really believe in LA ILAHA ILL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR

RASOOL ALLAH. Rulling over the world is just far from our imaginations, we even have even no right to live on this world right now. Why and why such conditions happened to us because: ل ن ت ن ال وا ال ب ر ح ت ى ت ن ف ق وا م ما ت ح ب ون You shall not attain righteousness, you shall not attain the love of Almighty Allah until unless you make sacrifice of those things which you loved them most. Dear brothers and sisters, this time is like a gold, do not try to spoil your time, do not utilize your time in useless and vein things, try to feel the importance of this small life. This life is not for fun and for getting only more and more krones, dollars and degrees. 102:1 Your craze for collection of more and more wealth has occupied you 102:2 until you reach your graves. أ له اك م الت ك اث ر ح تى ز ر تم ال م ق اب ر

And what Allah Said in Surra-Al-Asr: By the time! Man is in a state of loss; except those who have faith and do righteous deeds, and guide each other to hold on to truth and counsel each other to be steadfast. Dear brothers and sisters, Hazrat NuH, who spent 900 years in this world, When he was close to death and Angle told him how you felt about life. Nuh replied, I feel life is like a small building that has two doors; I entered from one door and went outside from the next door. So life is like this. Alexander, who is considered one of the great commanders of all time and who created one of the greatest empire of the ancient world stretching from the Mediterarian sea to the Himalayas only at the age of 30. Dear brothers and sisters

you know what his last advice was. He advised that when I will die then keep my hands out from my grave so that people could see that while going from this world I have nothing in my hands. I want to tell you very impressive story of a person who really knew the truth of this life, who really knew the meaning of this life. Caliph Haroon-ur-Rashid who once ruled upon the half of this world. Whose kingdom was so big and vast that whenever cloud came with full of water, Caliph often said wherever this cloud will shower, that area will be part of my kingdom if not then tax will come from that area. Means he was ruling half of the world and remaining world was giving him tax in the form of Jazia. Haroon-ur rashid had a son whose name was Ahmed. He was very pious man. He used to spend most of his time either in abada or helping others. He spent very simple life. Once when he came to the court of Haroon-ur- Rashid, he was dressed in very simple clothes. The ministers of Haroon told the king that your son is spoiling you name. What the people will say that his father is king of this world and his son is spending so simple life. Haroon also told his son that why you lived in such a condition and indeed you damaged my name. Your attitude is not like the family of king. His son replied his father with all due respect that my father in-fact your attitude will sooner or later destroy us. When you will be presented in the court of Allah Rabbul-alamin then you have no answer for this

lavish and extravagant life. If you are so angry with me then allow me to leave you. I cannot spend this lavish and prince likes life. Haroon tried his best to stop him but Ahmed decided to leave the palace. Before leaving the palace Haroon gave him his sign and told him to keep this sign with him. Ahmed migrated from Baghdad to Basra and lived in the graveyard. Nobody knew there that he was son of king. In Basra he became mason and worked too hard. Whenever people faced difficult tasks they always called Ahmed to help them because he was very hard worker. He spent his days in working and nights in Ibadat. One day he did not come to work and when people went to his cottage he was taking his last breathes. He gave the sign of his father to people and told them to give it to Caliph Haroon and also told them to read these following verses in front of caliph: My father do not mislead from the beauty and attractiveness of this world This life will be finished sooner or later and every thing will be expired And when some dead body goes towards graveyard Then understand that you might be the next Haroon cried a lot after reading these verses. Dear brothers and sisters do you know how Allah rewarded Ahmed? Sheikh-ul-Akbar Moeen-ud-din said that I was performing hajj and I saw a person who passed through the people and no obstacle could stop his way. I assumed that this is some noori or spiritual creature. I grasped

him and asked "who are you". He replied I am Ahmed son of Haroon-ur-Rashid. My Allah entered me among the Malayka after my death. I wish and pray to Rabul-Alamin that we follow those characteristics which are described in these ayats and we will become the true Ibad-ur-Rehman. I want to read the quotation of Hazrat Ali which is in fact essence of Today's Khutaba "that Blessings are for the man who humbles himself before Allah, whose sources of income are honest, whose intentions are always honorable, whose character is noble, whose habits are sober, who gives away in the cause and in the Name of Allah the wealth which is lying surplus with him, who controls his tongue from nasty and useless talk, who abstains from oppression, who faithfully follows the traditions of the Holy Prophet and who keeps himself away from innovation in religion. Who follow what is beneficent and leave what is vain and useless". Dear brothers and sisters we are thinking that bank balance is every thing which should be increased by all due and un-due sources. PhD and MSc degrees are real success and good jobs are the only way of getting blissful life. Nationality of any European country is a big achievement. But my and your Allah has some different criteria of success. Allah says in Surra Mominoon

Surely, success does come to the believers. Who are humble in their Prayers, And who ignore all that which is vain and useless, And who are active in paying the Zakat, And who guard their chastity. Except with regard to their wives and those women who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blame-worthy,; But those who seek anything beyond that are the wrongdoers. And who are watchful of their trusts and their agreements, And who are strict in the observance of their Prayers. These are the beneficiaries, who will get Paradise. They will abide therein.
