In Chaaya atharva veda there are 264 major forms of bhairavas. Among this 264 forms, around 16 forms are rare and out of which 8 forms are considered rarest of the rare. The 8 forms with consorts are : 1.Akaasa Bhairava/Tara 2.Maarthaanda Bhairava/ Raja Mathangi 3.Mrutyunjaya Bhairava/ Kapaalini 4.Vriksha Bhairava/ Bhavani 5.Unmattha Bhairava/ Jwalini 6.Asithaanga Bhairava/ Hamsini 7.Ujeevana Bhairava/ Ujeevini 8.Vijaya Bhairava/Jaya age old and keep living below the earth for thousands of years. When the time is ripe they come out of the earth as plants/ trees to announce to the world that they have finally arrived to be seen, adored and worshipped. Since they live deep below the earth, may be millions and millions of miles, they have absolute control of the seven patala lokas. Atala, Vitala, Sutala, Talatala, Mahatala, Rasatala & Patala. Without his sankalpa, no one could enter Shirdi nor leave. Those who tried to disobey this got their results. Baba sent back Kaka Mahajani to Mumbai as soon as he entered the masjid and it turned out to be that his master was in need of him back at office. Baba asked a Lawyer Mr. Dhumal to stay an extra week at Shirdi and he did so. The judge who was supposed to hear his case suffered from severe stomach pain and could not come to work for a week and it turned out to be all well. Despite her husband not permitting, Baba asked Mrs. Nimonkar to visit her ailing son and stay for an extended period. When a great astrologer Mr. Mule Shastry visited Shirdi, Baba ordained his white dress in red with Kumkum and Mr. Shastry saw his Guru Golab Swami in place of Baba and gave Him dakshina. Lastly, a doctor reluctantly came to Shirdi but was the very first person to prostrate in front of Baba as he saw Sri Rama in Baba s place! Then he took a vow to fast until Baba called him but went on the 3 rd day due to a friend s request. Sai asked him, Why did you come? 3 3 * S E R V I C E * - S r e e l a t h a P a r a s u Gopal : Mom, today at the bus stop, I heard Raj Anna and Rahul Anna talk about service. What is the meaning of Service, Amma. Mom : Service means to do something without expecting anything in return. Not even the thought that you are serving, is true service. Raj and Rahul are middle school kids and they are expected to do some community service. Gopal : Why should only middle school kids do service mom. Can't I do too? Mom : In our school system, middle school and high school children get to do service because it has become part of their curriculum. But yes my little pal, you can do too. Gopal : When and where can I do mom. And what can I do? Mom : During the weekends, or some weekdays when you are done with your homework, we can go to the Sai temple, and you can do some work in the garden. You can pour water for the plants. Or you can pull out the weeds around the flower beds. Gopal : Yes mom, I like to water the plants and see it grow and give flowers and fruits. Mom : Sai temple organizers also feed the homeless. Every Saturday they make PB&J sandwich and add an apple in the brown bags and deliver it to the Salvation Army. You can go with your daddy and help them pack the brown bags. You need to make 125 bags. So you can have fun counting and learning your numbers as well as doing a little service. Gopal : 125 bags, mommy that's a big number. I know only to count up to 50. Mom : You can count till 50 and then get help from dad and then you will learn to count the rest. Gopal : I will be able to learn faster and become the smartest boy in the class. Yes!!! Mom : Also every Wednesday, Sai temple donates some milk cans, bread, fruits, or canned goods at the Goochland Clinic for the families in need. We can contribute some money to buy some milk cans or provide them. Gopal : I remember when we went to India, grandpa and grandma went to the temple and gave some food packets to the poor people. Grandpa gave me some money to buy some bananas in the shop and give it to the little kids who were there with their parents. Mom : Yes, Gopal we should always thank God for providing us enough and give whenever we can to those who are in need. When I was little like you, my grandpa used to buy some biscuits and give it to the poor kids who lived near our house. He used to feed the stray dogs and crows with bread and biscuits. Gopal : Mommy, I have some money that Grandpa and uncle gave me for my birthday and I would like to buy some milk and fruits to give them. Mom : I'm very happy you said that, sure we can contribute this week. Gopal : I see some cows, at the temple, what do they do, there mommy? Mom : Cows give milk and the milk is used for Abhishekam of the deities at the temple. Speaking of that Gopal, we can buy some bananas and carrots for the cows and get the priest's permission and feed them too. Gopal : Mommy, can we go now, today, to the temple and feed the cows. Please mommy, I'll clean up my room and put the toys away like a good boy. Can you take me today mommy? Please please... Mom : Ok, first things first you tidy up your room, then we can go. You can call your friends too. It will be more fun. Gopal : ok mom sure,i'll call, Vijay, and Vidya, I love you mom, thank you for the idea and we can play in the play area too!

4 4 * P A N C H A T A N T R A T A L E S * - * T h e t a l e o f t w o f i s h & a f r o g * - S a t h y a R a m k u m a r There lived two large fish, Sahasrabuddhi and Satabuddhi in a big pond. They were friends with a frog called Ekabuddhi. One evening, when they were spending time chatting, along the banks of the pond, they saw two fishermen approach the pond. The fishermen spoke among themselves as to how the pond is teeming with fishes and made a decision to come the next day and fish in this pond. Listening to this, Ekabuddhi was concerned and advised his friends to make a plan to escape from the nets of the fishermen. Sahasrabuddhi said that he was not at all worried and that he has countless talents in different types of swimming and will surely escape from the fishermen s nets. Satabuddhi too agreed with his friend and told that he is also not ready to leave his ancestral place. Ekabuddhi was very sad to leave his friends behind but he could not convince his friends otherwise and he left the pond with his family. Next morning, the fishermen came and cast big nets covering the pond and caught a huge haul of fish, frog and tortoise etc. Inspite of their multi-talents, the two fish could not escape the nets and were caught by the fishermen and died. When he felt safe, Ekabuddhi came out of the well, where he and his family were hiding. He saw the pond almost empty and his two fish friends were proudly displayed by the fishermen. Ekabuddhi felt very sad and told his wife, my friends might have been multi talented in swimming, but I have only one talent, which is to take Moral of the Story : Quick action is needed immediately to save oneself, when danger is imminent. The wise man always bursts into laughter on seeing the donkey, which refuses to unburden the weight of ego.

He loved it so much that he would even go to the extent of stealing it. What is the reason? What is so special about the butter? Hinduism is full of symbolism. Although we tell so many stories, all of them have some hidden meaning. In olden days, the stories were used to explain a concept. As time rolled by, the stories remained but the concepts were forgotten. According to Hinduism, the ultimate goal for a himan being to attain Moksha or freedom from Birth and Death cycle. Butter is symbolic for the soul, or the Absolute Truth. Milk is the beginning stage of the butter. We start the cycle (Birth and Death) like Milk. With our desire to realize the Truth as a Starter, we make the curd. T h e n w e g o through so many birth, hardships, Sadhana/Spiritual practice, which represent churning of the buttermilk. The churning or the Sadhana helps us to get butter, or the purity of the soul. Krishna loves us and will accept us when we attain this state.
