Our next topical study from the Book of Proverbs focuses our attention on the subjectofthedangersofexcess, especiallyexcessintheareaofdrinking. This is the opposite of the commandment to Honoryourfatherandyourmother.Wemustappreciatethefactthatouractions haverepercussionsthataffectnotonlyourselvesbutalsothoselovedoneswith whom we are identified. The Word of God as it is presented in the Book of Proverbs warns us to Avoid Indulging to Excess, because of the Tragic Consequencesofdoingso.
