1 Virginia Church of God Women's MINISTRIES & DISCIPLESHIP Dear Pastor's Wife, Fall has arrived and brings with it the beginning of a new church year. I am so glad to play a role in what God is doing in the Church of God in Virginia. Our ministry directive for continues from 2016, "FINISH COMMITMENT". You, as a pastor's wife, hold tremendous influence in your church and community, and we are grateful your partnership in fulfilling the task before us. This resource packet contains information for international and state programs. It is our hope that this information is valuable as you plan your ministry program for the upcoming year. 4 VIRGINIA WOMEN' S MINISTRIES & DISCIPLESHIP CLUB To qualify, Women's Ministries groups of local churches give at least $300 annually that will be dispersed to Women's Ministries Projects. $300 PER YEAR $75 PER QUARTER $25 PER MONTH 300 Club contributions may be submitted by enclosing a check in your quarterly report and notating "300 Club" on the form or by mailing a check designated "300 Club"to the State Office.

5 SMCH Project Update The Smoky Mountain Children's Home project continues to flourish. Over $17,000 raised by Virginia Women's Ministries has funded improvements for the Old Dominion Cottage housing young women, ages The cottage officially opened its doors in September 2017 and currently has four residents. At full capacity, the cottage can house five girls and one house parent. The Old Dominion Cottage is the first on the SMCH campus to house older girls. By supporting this project, you are giving girls, who may otherwise be on the streets, an opportunity to continue their growth and education in a Christian environment. Your giving over the next two years will fund repairs and upkeep for the cottage. All donations should be submitted to the State Office to be documented. Our cottage sees a lot of transition due to the age of the residents. Support and prayer is vital to its success.

8 Local Women s Discipleship Commitment to Discipleship Ministry la i a on Service Commitment The Service Commitment section of the report includes a wide variety of ministries for women in the local church. Whenever women participate in these ministries during designated dates, the activities should be reported. 1. PRAYER MINISTRY: Ongoing prayer emphasis. 2. LITERATURE TRANSLATION: Contributed financial support to translate, publish and distribute Women s Discipleship resources. SPIRITUAL GROWTH EMPHASIS: Provided opportunity for women to grow spiritually. (Retreat, women s revival, seminars, etc.) 5. COVENANT SISTER: Contributed financial assistance this reporting period. 6. BIBLE STUDY: Ongoing opportunity for Bible study in group setting. 7. DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING: Involved in active discipleship training within the church. 8. BENEVOLENCE: Contributed financial assistance to the Smoky Mountain Children s Home or other Church of God sponsored children s home. 9. WWAM MISSIONS PROJECT: Contributed financial support to International Women s Discipleship World Missions Project Women With A Mission (WWAM). 10. LOCAL CHURCH/HOME MISSIONS ASSISTANCE: Contributed financial support to the local church and/or state home missions project. (In-state program at the discretion of state/regional director and state Women s Discipleship Board.) Stewardship Commitment 1. BENEVOLENCE: Mother s Day is a special time to contribute to the Smoky Mountain Children s Home or state-sponsored children s home. This offering should be mailed to the state/regional office. Special offerings for benevolence may be raised and reported during any reporting period of the year and indicated as Special Offerings. 2. WWAM MISSIONS PROJECT: A designated mission challenge adopted and promoted by the International Women s Discipleship Advisory Council. Each WWAM (Women With A Mission) project is a two-year opportunity to share the Good News around the world. 3. LITERATURE TRANSLATION/PUBLICATION/DIS- T T ON omen s is i les i nte na onal Heritage Day, October 6): During observance of Heritage Day, offerings are received for the translation, publication and distribution of Women s Discipleship resources. Heritage Day may be obse ed an me du in t e ea. Monies should be submitted with the state/regional office online report for proper credit. 4. COVENANT SISTERS: Our mission state sisters count on your support. In September and March of each calendar year we place special emphasis on support to our mission Covenant Sister states/ regions. Please consider giving! 5. HOME MISSIONS: Each state/region can adopt or design their own specific project to assist new or needy churches, etc., within their own area. REMARKS 1.
