5 A Family For Every Orphan Anita Deyneka From Ukraine to Nepal to India to Ghana to 20 other countries around the world, the lives of thousands of orphaned and abandoned children are being transformed as they are placed in loving Christian families. Anita partners with of A Family for Every Orphan (AFFEO) and World Without Orphans (WWO) as a missionary of Mission Eurasia. Christian families globally are opening their hearts and homes to orphans and helping many children know their heavenly Father. A year ago, Rohit was taken in by a local Christian family and received medical treatment for wounds he had received from abuse and neglect. Today, he is thriving. He loves playing with his foster siblings, and he enthusiastically participates in school. His eyes even light up whenever he hears a vehicle coming down the road, in the hopes that it might be a school bus. Jerusalem Center for Bible Translators Niek Arentsen The Jerusalem Center for Bible Translators (JCBT) is a non-profit ministry supporting mother tongue Bible translators.

6 Jerusalem Center for Bible Translators Niek Arentsen The Jerusalem Center for Bible Translators (JCBT) is a non-profit ministry supporting mother tongue Bible translators. Mothertongue translators are indigenious people that intimately know their own language and culture, but they need the knowledge of Hebrew and the Israelite culture to effectively translate the OT. The strategy of JCBT is to provide a study program, including field trips and lectures that impart knowledge of Biblical Hebrew in the context of the culture, archaeology, geography and nature of the land of the Bible. Besides the experience of the land, bringing translators to Israel also gives them an immersion experience in the language, experiencing Hebrew as a living language. Niek is teaching a 4-month class, in Hebrew, as part of the overall curriculum for the students that spans 6-months. Teaching in Hebrew eliminates the obstacle of another foreign language (e.g. English). 7 Refuge Gift & Care Boxes, Jordan The youth at Plain Community Church have recently completed a fundraiser to enable those working with refugees in Jordan to deliver Christmas Gifts to refugee children. You have the opportunity to increase the numbers of gifts possible during the Advent Season. In January, the workers in Jordan may switch the focus of the boxes to hygiene, baby care kits or school supply boxes, wherever she sees the greatest need. Frontier DTS which runs in the Fall/winter, the Mobile DTS which runs in the Winter/Spring and we are restarting our Foundational Counseling School. This school focuses on how to prep for working with missionaries in deeper issues that they may go through on the field. YWAM Restenas Vision Statement - Renewed lives sparked into action to see Sweden and the Nation impacted by the kingdom of God. How We Live out This Vision - We celebrate discipleship-rich environments where people can boldly step into their world-changing callings. 9 The World Race/adventures in Mission Kendra Hixenbaugh The World Race is a stretching journey to serve the least of these in real and raw community. This unique mission trip is a challenging adventure for young adults to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it s not about you; it s about the Kingdom. Kendra served her first month in Costa Rica, digging holes for a fence, helping to construct the beginnings of a worship space and playing with kids at a Kids Club on weekends. In the month of November she will be in Nicaragua. 11 in countries in 11 months. As of November 15, she still needed to raise about $5000 to have her World Race fully funded. 12 Family Lines Jon Hagedorn/Steve Pate There s just something about spending shoulder to shoulder time on the water with a fishing rod in hand, or building side by side in the shop, that naturally brings many dads and kids together. The focus of Family Lines is to draw the hearts of fathers and children together through providing space for past story to be shared and future legacy to be impacted. Hands-on interactive opportunities on the riverbanks and in the workshop serve as our vehicle to see this take place. The more intentional time we can give a father with his children the better, that is why our multi-day Expeditions are the most significant and impactful experiences we offer. They are also the most costly to run. Because of this we work year-round raising money to help with participation costs so that price never has to be the only thing standing in the way of a father saying yes.
