1 North Central District Student Missions Trip Fee: $150 Registration Deadline April 19th Join Alliance Youth from the North Central District as we seek to engage the Twin Cities with gospel of Jesus Christ. Students will be working with: A Somali Charter School A Vietnamese Alliance Church An Ethiopian Alliance Church Central Missions Church Rebuilding Together Twin Cities And more.. Alliance youth will have the chance to experience a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural experience. Minneapolis is home to over 300,000 immigrants, 80 languages, and a plethora of religious and cultural beliefs. Students will be immersed in a relationship building and personal development adventure for Jesus. Dear Friends and Family, Recently, the Lord opened up a wonderful opportunity for me to serve Him alongside other people from my church. On June 23 rd we will be going on a short-term mission trip to Burkina Faso, Africa. We will be coming back on July 6 th. While we are there, we will work with missionaries as they plant churches, dig fresh water wells, and help with grain distribution and other humanitarian efforts. One of my goals is to (insert your personal desire here). I hope this experience will help me get closer to God and see what He has planned for me next. I have a desire to serve God in long-term missions. I would like you to become personally involved with the team in this short-term missions trip in three ways: financial support, mission s interest, and prayer support. We need you to pray concerning: 1. The spiritual difficulties of ministering in a Muslim and ancestor worship culture. 2. Safety on the project sites. 3. Safety working with villagers and refugees as we share the Gospel. 4. That God will provide financially for me to attend this trip. 4 General Information for Engage T.C. Teams Where are Students Staying while in Minneapolis? Central Mission Church 1632 West Charles Avenue St. Paul, MN Phone: Sleeping Students are encouraged to bring a camping cot or mat as we will be using the floor space provided for sleeping. Full or Queen Size air mattresses are not permitted unless shared with a friend. Meals: All Meals will be provided during the trip. Extra spending money is recommended for snacks. Transportation: Churches are responsible for being able to transport students to the work sites throughout the week. Cars or Passenger Vans are highly recommend. Busses will not work. What will we be doing? *All Training will be done corporately, along with worship and evening activates. *All final decisions will be made by the youth pastors/leaders during planning and preparation meetings. Currently the following is in place. Students will be divided into teams of students from 9am-3pm. What Training will be offered? Students will gather to learn how to evangelize and disciple in the main teaching sessions, and then given opportunity to put it into practice.
