2 This month, we re excited to go above and beyond in our giving as we launch the Big Give before the Big Game. Throughout January, when you give an additional Big Give donation to Hosanna!, it will go directly to empowering the powerless through both Feed My Starving Children & Trafficking Justice. Here s how YOU can give BIG this month: Visit to give online. When prompted, select Big Give in the dropdown list. Donate at kiosks located in the atrium. When selecting the gift destination, choose Big Give. Visit any Guest Services desk throughout January to pick up a special Big Give donation envelope, suitable for cash or check gifts. (Please make checks out to Hosanna!, and indicate Big Give in the check memo). Donate in service on January 27 & 28 during our special offering.

3 COMMUNITY BOARD HEALING PRAYER Every Tuesday, 7-8:30 pm, Chapel Prayer Room Hosanna! Tuesday Night Healing Prayer is a community ministry that shares the heart of Jesus to see people healed holistically in body, soul, and spirit. Specially trained prayer ministers are available on all regular Tuesday programming nights to pray individually with anyone seeking physical, relational, emotional, financial, or spiritual healing. For more info, visit PRAYER FORCE Every Thursday, 7-8 am, Chapel Prayer Room Hosanna! prayer intercessors gather for a variety of topical prayers reflecting the times and culture. Bring a coffee, your Bible, and come jump start your day! All are welcome - no registration needed. For more info, visit OVERTIME JANUARY EVENT (55+) Thursday, January 18, 5:30-8:30 pm Kick off 2018 with OverTime! Come and enjoy a warm meal, good conversation, and special theatre entertainment. Dinner begins at 5:30 pm (suggested donation of $10). Registration is required, as space is limited - visit to sign-up! HOSANNA! MEN S NIGHT Thursday, January 18, 6:30-8:30 pm For adult men of all ages! Intentionally pursue and grow in faith in a strong community of men. Join for an evening of free food, fellowship, and an uplifting message. You will be encouraged both as a leader and man of God. To register, visit PRAY FOR THE CURE Monday, January 22, 7-9 pm A monthly gathering to provide love, encouragement, information, and prayer to those with cancer or those caring for loved ones with cancer. DISCIPLE-MAKING TRAINING COURSE Monday, January 22 & Monday, January 29 6:30-8:45 pm This training session is a fresh look at Jesus command to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19, NLT). The two session, indepth biblical training will take you back to Jesus himself. Experience how he created a worldwide movement with his disciples in just over three years. MARRIAGE PREP COURSE, WINTER 2018 Meets Thursdays, January 25 - February :30 pm If you are engaged, thinking about becoming engaged, or just dating, the Marriage Prep Course is for you. As a couple, you ll experience a deep dive in communication, conflict and forgiveness, boundaries, finances, and much more to help you prepare for marriage. Cost is $75/couple. 4 TRAFFICKING JUSTICE PRAYER BUS TOUR Saturday, February 3, 10 am & 12 pm Partner with Trafficking Justice in their commitment to end human trafficking. As we drive through the South Metro, we will learn more about local trafficking and how to combat this injustice, all while praying for our city and its people. Sponsor a dignity bag, filled with essential clothing items used to make a difference in the lives of rescued women. Then, come to the Lakeville campus on Saturday, February 3 for an optional pack and prayer event, when we ll assemble and pray over each dignity bag. HEART HURRICANE IRMA RELIEF TRIP Saturday, February 10 - Saturday, February 17 HEART will be taking a team of people to work with Hosanna s deployed pastors and missionaries, Larry and Susan Fannon, in their community in Bonita Springs, FL. The team will help with continued cleanup and rebuilding of homes that sustained water damage as a result of Hurricane Irma in September. 5 MESSAGE NOTES Week 2 January 13/14 God made us for family and built us for home. The people we are today tell of the people who raised us. Built by our shared experiences and stories, we are truly homemade. Scripture reminds us, By wisdom a house is built and through understanding it is established (Proverbs 24:3, NIV). Through the ups and downs of homelife, Jesus steps into the story to restore our foundation. In turn, we identify His intention for our family. With God s truth as our ultimate guide, we can be confident that He ll exchange old for new, building homes that reflect His grace, hope, and love. NOTES: 1. Growing up, how did your house handle hard questions about life or faith? Were they allowed? 2. How has that shaped your identity and faith? 3. How have you wrestled with who you are and who you re becoming? 4. How do you allow for wrestling in your home? 5. What are the challenges/benefits of allowing younger people to wrestle with things in life knowing there s a possibility of pain, hurt, or confusion?

We are celebrating Communion today. The (red) wine, (white) grape juice, and bread are passed family style down the row. Gluten free wafers are available on the Bible cart by the Worship Center main doors. GUEST SERVICES If you have questions, volunteers and staff are available before and after all services at Guest Services to assist you! Alternatively, be sure to visit KIDS AT HOSANNA!
