The goal of Mission Fuge and Centrifuge is to help each person hear God speak, free of distractions of home. Water guns, water balloons, skateboards, rollerblades, etc. DRESS CODE FUGE Camps wish to promote an atmosphere of respect for other people; one that is free from distractions, where students can focus on Christ. While for years our dress code has simply been clean, neat, and modest, many have asked for clarification on what that means. To that end, we offer the following guidelines. Please DO NOT pack anything that: Advertises alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs. Explicitly or implicitly promotes racism, sexism, or hatred of any group or person. Explicitly or implicitly refers to sexual actions or situations. Has spaghetti straps, except for sleepwear. Is excessively short or tight fitting. While at camp, students and adults are asked to: Wear modest, one-piece bathing suits or two piece suits covered with a colored T-shirt. Wear modest shorts, dresses, slacks, and jeans for worship. Long pants or knee-length skirts are required for onstage performances. Don t dress in a way that calls attention to their underwear (sagging your pants, rolling down your waistbands, etc). A dark t-shirt if you plan on taking any messy games or water games track.
3 Ministry Tracks Available at Philadelphia: Children s Ministry Social Ministry PCY (Painting, Construction, Yardwork) Ministry Creative Ministry Games and Recreation Ministry SPECIAL NOTE CONCERNING MINISTRY TRACKS DRESS CODE: Clothing must be appropriate; You have to wear closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes; No sleeveless shirts are allowed. These tracks could include Vacation Bible Schools, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camps, and other site-specific work with children. The purpose of this track is to minister to children, providing your students with the opportunity to teach and lead children in telling Bible stories, making crafts, and playing games. SOCIAL MINISTRY This ministry track involves a variety of ministry opportunities for meeting the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of people. This track ministers to the following populations and organizations: mentally/ physically handicapped centers, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food banks, clothing closets, furniture distribution centers, refugee ministries, centers for teaching adults and children English as a second language (ESL), prison ministries, Baptist Centers, Salvation Army Sites, and other community organizations with like purposes. PAINTING/ CONSTRUCTION/ YARDWORK MINISTRY Students in this track will spend their week building houses, roofing, repairing, cleaning, painting, and doing yardwork. These tracks work with various organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the local housing authorities. CREATIVE MIN ISITRY This ministry track uses the gifts and abilities of students by ministering through drama, interpretive movement, puppets, clowning, singing, and other ministry performances. Students in this track will spend their week traveling to nursing homes, children s centers, residential homes, beaches, parks, and other places where they will be able to minister creatively. GAMES AND RECREATION MINISTRY This ministry track is designed to train students who are willing to play with a purpose. These tracks are located in children s centers or homes, apartment complexes, and boys and girls clubs. Students are taught to use their athletic ability and willing hearts not for their own glory, but for the glory of God. Many groups minister in inner city situations where the gospel is shared through sportsmanship and Christ-like attitudes.

So keep checking back and get those forms filled out and notarized. Be much in prayer for this great week. I m excited about what God is going to do in all of our lives. 5 New York City Excursion of the Mission-Fuge Trip Our plans are to arrive on the New Jersey side (North Bergen) on Friday afternoon, July 6. We will be staying 2-miles from the Lincoln Tunnel. We will take a bus into the city and meet at designated points. Because of the size of our group, I will be meeting with our chaperones prior to the trip to coordinate our New York & Philadelphia plans and determine what will be the safest and most efficient use of our time. There is much to do in both New York and Philadelphia (We will do our best not to tour the local Walmarts.) Sites such as Times Square, World Trade Center Site, Battery Park, Empire State Building, Central Park, Chinatown, much shopping, etc. will conquer most of our time. It will be very difficult to see everything and do everything. Please be patient as we make the attempt to do what is best for the whole group. Philadelphia is essentially the very center-piece of our country s start. Sunday will afford us an opportunity to share in this rich heritage (plus run the same steps that Rocky Balboa ran). Mission-Fuge is allowing us to come in a day early, so we will be able to be settled in our rooms before all the other groups arrive. This will be a huge plus. Luggage Considerations: It is imperative that you follow these guidelines concerning luggage, or you may have to hold your luggage for the bus ride. Please pack according to the following: You can take 1-large suitcase, 1 carry-on, and 1-additional medium size bag. Pack only the things you need for Mission-Fuge (Monday through Friday) in the Large Suitcase. This WILL NOT be unpacked prior to our arriving at Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon. Your carry-on needs to have everything you would normally take in a carry-on (toiletries, snacks, some clothes, etc.) For the New York City portion of our trip, pack everything you need in the Medium Size Bag (remember that it is only for Friday night and Saturday). This does not need to be a large bag AT ALL!!! Please help us out with the Luggage situation. With as many as people going, that calculates to nearly 270 pieces of luggage. I know that you will do what is necessary. Finances for the Trip: The cost of the Mission-Fuge portion of the trip was $ I told you back in November when we began to plan for the side trip to New York that there would be additional cost regarding lodging. The extra cost is $75.00 which brings the total for the trip to $ This includes all of your meals at Mission-Fuge, but you will need to be responsible for all other travel meals and expenses. Bring a roll of quarters and some dollar bills for the bus fare and subways. This will help expedite things. I realize that the cost for this trip is a bit higher than what we have normally done in the past. Thank you for your patience and understanding. This promises to be an amazing time for our students and chaperones. I believe that God wants to do something incredible in all of our lives. Please continue to pray for God s leading and protection in every phase of the trip. Transportation Concerns: We will be taking our Bus with a trailer and our Mini-bus. In addition to these 2 vehicles, we will be chartering a bus instead of renting 3 vans. We felt that this would be much safer, even though the cost will be somewhat higher. Our church normally picks up all transportation costs. We are so blessed with a wonderful pastor & staff, committees, deacons, and church family that believes in our youth and affirms them by supporting them prayerfully and financially. Please look for ways to bless and thank our church family for their support. SPECIAL NOTE: Any changes to the itinerary or to the trip as whole will be updated via the web at updated information or June 10, or through the mail. Please check from time to time in the event of changes.
