We are dispersing some of the unused books from our church library and from Pastor Jay s library. Donations will be received towards the Joan Project renovations. Arlington Beach Camp Mother s Day Banquet Sunday, May 13 th, 5:00 pm $20/Adult, $10 Child (12 & under) RSVP by May 9 th to Nolan Cornish Birthday Party Fundraiser Thursday, May 17, 5:30-8:30 pm WFMC Hall Kevin and Crystal s small group would like to invite our church family and community to a birthday party fundraiser for baby Nolan and his parents. Nolan s birthday is May 17 th, and his party will be held in the fellowship hall from 5:30 to 8:30pm. This will be a family friendly party with bouncy castles, face painting, hot dogs, and cupcakes with ice cream. All money raised will be donated to Kevin and Crystal to help with their ongoing financial needs.

4 To Our WFMC family, TRANSITION TEAM HIGHLIGHTS Your Board continues to talk about how our two remaining pastors will be able to do the work of our previous four pastors. As you can imagine, it is a huge task to run all the programs we offer here at WFMC. Ian and Jody will need all our prayers, and our gifts and talents as well. If you are not involved in a ministry or you would like to be more involved, we would gratefully accept your help. Please dig deep and think of ways you can be the hands and feet of Jesus to the rest of the congregation. This month so far, your board met on Monday April 2nd for a prayer meeting and will be meeting again on Monday April 16th for a business meeting. The April 2nd meeting was led by our board chair Myron Fletcher and facilitated by James Brackpool. We want to thank Myron and James for all the work they have been putting into our prayer meetings. Both meetings have been a wonderful time of confirmation of God s blessing on this church and our people. At our April 2 nd meeting we prayed for clarity, understanding, unity and revival in all matters concerning this period of transition. Our official transition team is now in place! Thank you to Shenan Aikens, Brad Alexander, Cherith Alexander, Jenna Fitzpatrick, Mike Johnston, and Gwen Wright who have agreed to sit on this committee along with me. I have spoken to Seth Freeman, Regional Coach with the Free Methodist Church in Canada for our area, about meeting with our team to help us get started with LifePlan. This is the part of our next step in which we will need the most input from you, our congregation. Please keep an eye on this spot, as we will update you as soon as we have some dates and plans in place. The board dedication ceremony will be on April 29 th and will be a part of our farewell for Jay and Marilou. Also, there will be a come and go farewell tea that same day from 2-4pm that is open to anyone in the community. Please come and let Jay and Marilou know how much we will all miss them. We would like to invite the entire congregation to join us on Monday, May 7 th at 7pm here at the church for a prayer meeting to ask for God s blessing and guidance as we navigate this period of transition. We know that many of you have already been praying and we are hoping that you will come to this meeting and share with us what you have been hearing from God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you ll begin to sense his grace..this is your father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply.
