1 Healing Heart Ministries Inc. Prayer Bulletin March 2018 Bringing the Healing Touch of Jesus to Wounded Hearts Healing Hearts Ministries Inc. Box 12 S4P 2Z5 Website: This Prayer Bulletin is being sent out to supporters and friends of those who minister under Healing Hearts Ministry Inc. Prayer is a vital part of our ministry!! We would love to have you partner with us through praying for Healing Hearts Ministry Inc. missionaries. May God bless you as you bring these people before the throne of God. - Our very restful vacation in Cuba. - The support we have felt from our family, church family, and friends. - The vision and freshening of our church vision. - For our leadership team. - For speedy and uneventful recovery for Bob. - Gwen s mom as she faces health and aging challenges and for us as we consider how best to help her. - For God s provision as Bob has four weeks of recovery. Missionaries and Church Leadership working in Regina Bob & Gwen Lydiate Lead Pastor, Journey Group Coordinator, - Continued prayer for our family as we continue to wait on God s leading and restoration. - We had a safe and productive trip to Washington and some good family time in there. Spurgeon & Gina Marie Root Healing Hands Journey Groups, Worship Ministry -Spurgeon is crazy busy and travelling a lot in March. Gina Marie starts a Journey group soon. - Pray that the shop gets finished and we can fully and officially be working in there again. Praise God for a family trip to Palm Springs coming up in March. Joel & Stacey Braun Healing Hands/ True Wheels - For the bike shop as we begin ramping up for the spring and the bike season this summer. - That God would be preparing hearts and bring youth and adults to the shop to share Jesus with. - We are thankful that our schedule for the last couple on months has been a bit slower. - For God s faithfulness and protection. Wally & Arlene Schroeder Office Admin Mentoring - Arlene will be part of team that will be leading Journey Group in March and April. Pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit as people begin to explore their story and move towards healing. - We continue to pray that someone would come to take on the Office Administrator role as my desire is to do mentoring and discipleship full-time.
2 Nick & Vivian Helliwell Men s Ministry Community Ministry Praise & - Praise the Lord for health! Nick continues to improve and is doing very well in his health. His doctors are pleased where he is at physically. - Nick will be speaking to a student club, Power to Change (P2C), at the University of Saskatoon of Saskatoon on March 16. The topic is "First Nations Tradition and Christianity". While I am excited about this opportunity, I am also quite nervous about it. - On a similar note, Nick will also be presenting a response to the 60's scoop proposed settlement which needs to be completed before April We still need prayer over our finances. We are very grateful for the support that has been coming in although our income has not increased, but thank God it has been steady and stable. Of course, every season has it's expenses and we seem to be walking a very narrow margin. God is faithful and we are committed and continue to tithe on every dollar, knowing that it is God who keeps us afloat. - We praise the Lord for the support that came specifically to provide the children with a City leisure pass and extracurricular activities. The kids are making really good use of these things, since we live so close to facilities. - Vivian and I have started to take Cree language lessons offered by the City of Regina and the Regina Public Library. We take along the kids and as a family are really enjoying them. - There are a number of projects coming up for Nick as he also is finishing the 2017 contract on March 31 and starting a new one April 1. Praise the Lord for this ongoing work, the income it brings in, and all the support and encouragement from all the staff at RPCC who truly helped us make it through this past year. - We need to plant a garden this year and in order to do that must remove two large mature trees in our back yard in order to gain the space and sunlight required. We are praying for help in this labor in order to minimize costs. - Each child has unique needs and we as parents are doing our best to manage where each child is at. Please pray for wisdom, patience and resources where required. Ed & Danielle Stewart Worship - For Ed as he has started his next class and this makes for a very busy time for us. God has been so good to us and classes seem to be going well; pray that this one will be no different. - That we would keep in step with the Spirit and not miss the good God has for us and those around us. - A fairly smooth transition to a different computer and a new program to track donations. This was a huge concern for me, being somewhat technically challenged, but God knows it ALL. Yay, God! Elaine Wiens HHM Bookkeeper - For me as I prepare for the yearend audit and charitable return. Kelly & Nancy Morton Youth, Ladies & Prayer Ministry - God is changing the hearts and lives of the women in Healing Hearts as we listened to one of our gals share a part of her walk with us and how the redemptive power of Christ has transformed her life. - As God is changing and growing the ministries we are involved with and developing. - Our youngest is hoping to start driver ed. Our daughter is looking at nearly completing her first year at Bible College. Our two eldest sons are looking at starting new jobs. - That God is the voice that is removing conflict and guiding not only our hearts and paths but those we minister to. - The time spent ministering to others will have a depth beyond our conversations. That understanding and conviction would be felt in how free a life with God is. - Nancy has had to change how she is doing ministry because of low financial support. For over a year it has been a challenge but God has been FAITHFUL in speaking to her as we are anticipating many new changes and a strong support team. Thank you for your prayers!
3 The month of March marks one year serving as General Director of NCEM and our continuing role as Executive Director of Healing Hearts. We PRAISE GOD for His strength, faithfulness and grace to carry us into these new challenges. We are grateful for folks transferring financial support to Healing Hearts Ministry, Inc. and standing behind us in prayer, as well. - New applicants for both NCEM & HHM to serve as missionaries. Walter & Cindy - Our daughter, Caylea's gradual recovery after cancer treatments. Selke - Safe travels to remote points in Northern Canada. Executive Director - As we evaluate our schedule and priorities for the next few months. We are learning to pace ourselves in travel and office work, while maintaining two residences and keeping up with our family. - Wisdom to give direction and encouragement to both ministries. - Upcoming surgical procedures for Caylea (repair on scar) and Daniel (work/sports) injuries in left shoulder. - For us to take our leadership skills and relationships towards growth and maturity; that we would serve with grace and love as our motives. Missionaries - Church Plant in Nipawin Marsden & Mandy Giesbrecht truth from God s Word. - Community life is being established at Healing Hearts Church Nipawin! Although our numbers are few, we have been meeting regularly for fellowship, Bible Studies, events and getting together as friends. God is Good, and although we aren t seeing a huge numbers increase, we vey much enjoy watching each other get into God s Word and letting Him grow us!! - The Kids church that we have been leading is also flourishing. Many children come as a place to belong and they enjoy connecting with our faithful leaders and learning the - We have had a season of sickness and spurts of busyness that threaten to swamp us; we need prayer that God will help us to learn to rest in Him. It is His work here and we need daily wisdom to discern which responsibilities He is giving us and which one we are taking on unwisely. - Pray for our family, as we as a couple and our children are all in this together! Ken & Debbie Matthews - Debbie s dad and Ken's mom both continue to have health concerns. Please pray for our parents and the care they need This is a very unsettling and stressful time for us. We are trusting the Lord to carry our parents in His arms. - Please also pray for us that we would trust the Lord to guide us in our continuing ministry involvements. Making decisions and pressing forward is very difficult right now. Bert & Liz Genaille - We had a Gospel Jamboree at Beatty, SK, on March 10. It went well and we were encouraged. There was a prayer room set up and people went for prayer. There were three sermons in the afternoon and no one left. Praise the Lord! - Liz had cataract surgery this past week pray the her eyes would heal quickly. - We are planning the Tribal Trails Gospel Jamboree in Prince Albert from May at the Scarborough Baptist Church. Pray that all the details will come together and that the hearts of people would be open to the gospel.
4 Missionaries serving in various locations Kevin & Carol Eby Caronport, SK Men s Ministry, - Praise God because He gets all the Glory for everything and just because He is now as He has always been! - Leanne and Richard's son's Damen and Casey as they attempt life changes in the midst of peers, a world and against the enemy who would keep them from experiencing Victory in Christ. - Richard and Leanne's marriage. - Richard as he goes back to being part of the Jacob Bear Community Church Board. - For each of their children receiving and further working out their salvation while protected from the enemy. - Leanne s work serving as a Counselor. - Chayce and Michaela s wedding was a great time; a wonderful celebration and testimony of God s goodness. - Blaise had a safe trip both ways on his travels for the wedding. - Carol finds great joy in her work as she works alongside students, staff and parents at her job as Admin Assistant at the Caronport Elementary School. - For the opportunities to come along side those who are struggling and offer support. - For Blaise to finish strong as he finishes up his outreach with YWAM and flies home/back to BC on March 21 (for safety and adjusting to life back here in Canada). - For Chayce and Michaela for strength and joy in the journey as they have been dealing with a fair bit of sickness as well as car repairs in their first few months of marriage. - My work as a volunteer chaplain at the jail is starting to become more focused on counseling.
