2 A Message from the Pastor My Brothers and Sisters: During the past quarter, the Youth of Antioch have provided exceptional leadership in focusing our congregation s attention on the value and rewards that FELLOWSHIP adds to the vitality of our Church Family. Their demonstration of fellowship has been spiritually contagious. With scripture reference found in 1 Peter 2:9 and Jeremiah 29:11, our young people envision themselves as members of the Chosen Generation Born to Do GREAT Things. As pastor, my heart has been warmed during the past three months as I have watched and participated in the activities that our youth have spearheaded during the third quarter of Vision They have been exemplary and courageous in their commitment to Christian Service and Christian Education. I have been extremely pleased by their spirit of team work, by their tenaciousness and especially by the exuberance of excitement that they have shared in implementing their activities. We should all be proud of the commitment that our youth continue to demonstrate as they grow and develop into strong Disciples of Christ. On this very special occasion, we are blessed to have eight of Antioch s youth to speak today on their chosen theme. Most of our speakers have been a part of the Antioch Family since their birth. They are actively involved in youth ministry and dedicated to living for Christ regardless of the challenges and confrontations that they face as Christians in today s society. During our Worship Services today, the Youth will pass the Leadership Torch to our congregation s Family Division who will be responsible for organizing programs and activities from October through December with the expressed aim of strengthening our understanding of Baptist Doctrine. I invite every member of Antioch to become actively engaged in the activities of the Family Division. Yours in God s Service, Reverend Cameron M. Alexander

6 Thank you. To Pastor Alexander and our Antioch North family, Back to School Festival We thank you for your support and participation as we have demonstrated what it means to become involved in CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP. Today s society has for some reason correlated Christian Youth with the term BORING. However as we continue to learn and understand God s word, we realize that living a Christian life is not Boring. Through fellowship we have had fun and grown in our relationships with fellow Christians. We are extremely appreciative to our Pastor for including us in the 2012 Vision. This three-month journey has been filled with activities that have greatly enriched our lives and have certainly increased our understanding of what it means to be a member of the Chosen Generation; a generation that believes that we are Chosen to Praise Chosen to Worship Chosen to Lead! This year s journey has brought about another realization we were Born to Do Great Things. A Special Thanks to our 2012 Youth Division Leaders Elexis Neal, Janetta Hill, Jebril Reeves, Charles Wright Youth Explosion Trip to Birmingham Youth Brunch with Pastor
