Open us to the subtle signs with which you reveal your grace, your blessings, and your comforting presence. May this worship be a time when we go deeper into your presence. Through our worship, may our hearts be transformed and our faith be committed to the way Jesus revealed to us. We pray all this in Christ s holy name. Concerning Revelation 7:00 p.m. Wednesdays Beginning November 29 At Burr Ridge UCC Open-ended Bible studies are open ended reading and discussion: each night we read a passage and then discuss what we have heard. Slow down. Take a deep breath. Join us for our next labyrinth walk on Saturday, December 2 from 4:00 to 6:00. It takes about 20 minutes. DECORATE THE CHURCH FOR THE HOLIDAYS will take place Sunday, December 3 after worship. We will also have lunch. Manna gift card order forms are in the Narthex. The orders will be due on December 3 and the will be distributed by December 10. THESE MAKE GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFTS. Please see Cindi Fiandaca for more information. 5 New Hats/Scarves/Gloves/Socks for the Night Ministry - Our November mission project is to again take up a collection for The Night Ministry. We are looking for new hats, scarves, gloves and socks (for all ages). Please bring your donation (either home made or store bought) to church by Sunday, December 19th. Thank you. We are in need of volunteers for Lay Reading, Announcements and, Joys and Concerns, Ushers and Offertory. Please contact Wilam Mrazek, Doris Beutel or Jean Hegner if you wish to sign up for any of the above. Thank you to those who already help out, and welcome to new volunteers. BEDS PLUS needs volunteers. If you can help, see their website for details. ON LINE GIVING You can now make donations to the church on line! There is a Note field if you would like to have your donation used for a special purpose, such as a memorial, a fund raiser, an Easter gift, etc. CHURCH WOMEN UNITED Community Nurse Collection New onesies, new receiving blankets, baby hats, bandages designed for children, and small, soft animals (e.g. Beanie Babies) are being collected. Please bring donations to church. See Wilma Mrazek for details. LYONSVILLE CHURCH FOOD PANTRY Come and help out at our own food pantry for just 45 minutes. It is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Sundays. We would like to have two people there to help assist our guests/visitors during this time. You just need to help restock any food dropped off, check expiration dates, and help bag up food. Please contact Judy Birmingham or Mission Ministry for open dates.
