4 FATHER AL LAUER CONTINUES TO TOUCH MANY LIVES! FATHER AL LAUER continues to touch many, many lives even though he passed on to the Lord on October 13, If you visit the website of Presentation Ministries, you will find not only the many writings and teachings of Father Al, but also the many testimonies of those who in recent years have heard Father Al for the first WEEKEND SEMINARS FAITH AND FREEDOM IN CHRIST In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus quotes from Isaiah 61, The spirit of the Lord is upon me; therefore He has anointed me, He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives... When our knowledge of Christ is limited and uncertain, we cannot operate in the full power of His Holy Spirit. This Scripture in Luke is said to be the mission statement of Jesus and so our mission statement also. How many people do we know that are suffering by being trapped in hopeless situations or being poor in their experience of the love of God? Jesse Romero will share the fullness of Christ and thereby enable us to give the gift that we have received. Plan to come and hear Jesse speak of Him for Whom our hearts are longing! time on the radio or by reading One Bread One Body. Not knowing that he has passed away, they are amazed at his enthusiasm for the Gospel of Jesus as well as his deep and profound knowledge of the faith and the Scriptures. Story after story tells of the way the Holy Spirit used Father Al to change their hearts and lives. Thousands of people could probably tell their own stories and the way in which they have been touched and blessed by this man of God. But that is not the end of the Friday, July 26 Main Celebrant: Keynote: Guest Speaker: story. Father Al put into place several ministries that are set up to disciple the laity for service to the Gospel. One of those ministries is the Bible Institute. 12 FEATURED AT THE INSTITUTE ST JOHN BOSCO YOUTH GROUP Presents THE CARPENTER S APPRENTICE Members of Presentation Ministries youth group have written and are directing an original play entitled, The Carpenter s Apprentice. The three-act play will be performed by many of the young people who are a part of the PM families and St John Bosco Youth Group. If you have been to one of the plays in the past, you know the talent, time, and dedication that go into these productions. You will want to attend and experience the joy and gifts that these devoted teens share with us. The many young people who take part in the performance are talented, enthusiastic and committed to the Lord. Be sure to come and join us for this awe-inspiring theatrical production. The play will be offered Monday evening at 7:30 PM. The location will be at Roger Bacon High School auditorium in St Bernard, Ohio. Buses will be available at the Xavier campus for those who do not know the Cincinnati area. A free-will offering will be taken at the performance. l LIVING BY FAITH A program for young people, Friday, August 2 Ages 13 through 19 Deacon Ralph Poyo will present a day centered on living by genuine faith as shown by looking at the lives of the Patriarchs. For example, Abraham was a great man of faith which is still a blessing to us today. Deacon Ralph will point out the choice to be made. There are two paths ahead -- which path will you take? Will you leave the world behind or will you give in to Satan's plan for your life? The day will include music, praise, worship, group activities and discussion. Regulations for the Youth Day To insure that all get the benefit of the seminar: All participants must be pre-registered; No walkins will be accepted. An adult chaperone will be required for each ten teens (for example, a youth leader bringing 15 teens would need two adults.) Parents can join with other families in order to supply chaperones. When you register, indicate your age and the name of your chaperone and their phone number. A separate registration form is needed for each attendee and must be signed by their chaperone and one of their parents. No children under 13 can be accepted. Only preregistered persons (13-19) and their chaperones may attend the program which goes from 10 AM through 4:00 PM. People will not be permitted to wander in and out of the seminar. SPECIAL EVENT: NEW THIS YEAR IN SPANISH! JOIN US ON SUNDAY, JULY 28 Jesse Romero will offer the seminar Faith and Freedom in Christ beginning Friday evening and continuing on Saturday and Sunday. (See page 4 for details.) The two sessions on Sunday morning will be offered in Spanish by Jesse, who will encourage us to grow in our faith and experience the freedom that can only come from Christ. Sanacion The Saturday evening general session, July 27, will be a healing service and will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation with Spanish-speaking priests available. You won t want to miss the prayer, praise and worship that is included as we lift our hearts and spirits to the Lord in joyous adoration! 12
