1 Dear Colleagues and Youth Leaders, The opportunity is here to come together and enjoy nature, make new friends, and at the same time strengthen and develop your spiritual life together with your church young adults group and with many others from around the conference. Coming up this August 31st to September 2nd, 2018 we will have our Young Adults Retreat, which will be translated. Therefore, it will be our Bilingual Young Adults Retreat. The event is held at Camp Blue Ridge from and the theme for our retreat is Greater Things. It is based on the life of the apostle Paul. From who he was to whom he became after his unique encounter with God, which took him through a transformational process from Saul the persecutor of Christians to Paul the apostle of Christ. After Paul s real experience with God, he became an outstanding Christian leader. And today, we are all invited to have a real experience with God also, but He does not force anyone, therefore it has to begin in us. We all are invited to have an impact on others but unless we let God impact us individually we will never fulfill God s plan for our lives. In the following pages you will find detailed information about our Bilingual Young Adult Retreat. Some changes have been made for this particular event, so please read the information carefully. 2 Adventist Youth Ministries Youth Leader: You are receiving this information package because you are a significant person in the lives of the youth in your church, and by your position in your church you carry influence in their lives. In that capacity, it becomes necessary for you to have the vision for the kind of impact an event like this can have on the life of your young person. We ask that you take the initiative to organize a group from your church to bring young people to this event. Don t wait for your youth to ask. Purpose: The purpose for this retreat is to develop and strengthen the spiritual life of our youth creating a special moment where youth, away from all the distractions, can hear the voice of God and experience an encounter with Him. We are waiting for you. You can t miss it! Who Is This For: The Bilingual Youth and Young Adults Retreat, that in this occasion will be translated into English, is for all youth and young adults between the ages Our particular intent is to bring together the youth of our Conference to have and enjoy the opportunities to socialize, study, and worship together with other youth who share their same faith and values. Dates: The Bilingual Youth and Young Adults Retreat will be this coming Aug. 31 st to Sept. 2 nd, The Retreat begins Friday, August 31 st at 8:00pm but you can arrive as early as 5:00pm to Check-in and register (come well dined we will not be providing Friday dinner). And will finish on Sunday at noon. Location: The site for our Bilingual Youth and Young Adults Retreat is Camp Blue Ridge, which is along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. This camp provides wonderful housing facilities, beautiful cabins that are recently renovated. Also this camp is an ideal environment for creating a spiritual atmosphere. Because of the housing capacity, we must limit our registration number to 250 people. Be sure to guarantee your spot and send your registration forms in as soon as possible. Food: It will be prepared by the Camp, which has new administration, new improved service, and a wonderful kitchen. They will delight us with delicious vegetarian meals. No vegan meals will be available so please plan accordingly. Cost: For Credit Card payment: Early-Bird Registration is $ Fee $7.35 = $ until August 26th. Regular Registration is $ Fee $7.91 = $ until August 31st. For payments by Cash or Check: Early-Bird Registration is $ until August 26th. Regular Registration is $ until August 31st.

3 Adventist Youth Ministries Your church can assist you financially in order to pay the registration. And in order to receive the Early bird discount you must pay with a credit card, cash or check before August 26 th. After that date, the cost will go higher. The Cost Includes: The registration fee for the Bilingual Youth and Young Adults Retreat includes insurance, recreational activities, lodging, meals, and a t-shirt. Insurance: Recreational sports/event insurance for each participant will be provided for the duration of the event and its activities. Recreational Activities: Such as Canoes, Bubble Soccer, Water games, Paintball and much more. Meals: All meals are vegetarian, but not vegan. Vegan meals are not available, however, soymilk will be available for all morning meals. Lodging: Each cabin sleeps up to six (6) people on bunk beds. So please, remember to bring your own bedding, towel, and personal hygiene items. T-shirt: You will receive the official T-shirt of our Youth and Young Adults Retreat. As you fill out the registration form, make sure to give us your correct size. Make sure to complete the Medical Release Form, which can be found here: Registration: To facilitate the registration process we are providing different ways to do it. The forms and payment can be filled out online, mailed, faxed, or ed to us. 1) Online: Click here to register yourself or a group. For this you must make prior arrangements with the Youth Ministries Director Payments: Payments are accepted through Credit Cards, Cash or Check, and can be handled easily by either paying with a credit card at this link: by sending a check with your registration form to the Youth & Young Adults Ministries Department offices or cash the day of the event but with the necessary previous arrangements with the Youth & Young Adults Ministries Director. Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 day before the event start date. After that date, all fees are non-refundable.
