During the Spring/Summer most of the Small Groups will meet only one time for about two hours. In other words, these opportunities are a "sampler" of various topics or opportunities. You can participate in any number of groups but please register by tearing off the form in the back of this catalog. Put your completed form in box 32 by the office, or the offering plate during a worship service or via at smallgroups@gotgrace.com.

Plus we will discuss three other habits that God will use to transform and energize your life. 7 Spring / Summer 2013 Page 7 Grace, God and Nature Join Tony Constantino on a fantastic day hike to Nisqually Flats on May 19 th, leaving the church after the 11 am worship service This is an opportunity to see God's beautiful creation, join in worship out-of-doors and be together with people of all ages. Then please join us for a fun filled time! We have yarn you can use or you can bring your own. We will have a simple project for you to make while you learn techniques. We will let you know what size of needles and/or hook to bring. 9 Spring / Summer 2013 Page 9 Effective Communication In and Out Conflict Do you hunger for skills to improve the quality of your relationships, to deepen your sense of personal empowerment or to simply communicate more effectively? This afternoon workshop will delve into the structure and practice of a communication method established by Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg. Using insightful anecdotes, practical exercises, and roleplay, we can dramatically change our approach to communication for the better. Join this workshop to learn some simple and effective tools to increase and deepen your communication skills and create more peace in your life - one interaction at a time. 10 Page 10 Community Connections Our Jewish Neighbors What is Chanukah? What do Jews do at Passover? What does kosher mean? Do Jews celebrate Christmas? If you have ever been curious about this or other things about Jewish people of today, come join us and spend some time with three of your fellow congregants who lived the Jewish faith-ezra Francois, Harriet Thomsen and Joe Wilder. We will discuss culture, holidays, food, observances and spirituality and, take a look at items used by the Jewish people today. All questions welcomed. We'll start with an indoor class orientation (date and time to be determined by consensus of interested parties) and then on-going field trips with telescopes/binoculars.
