1 GENEROCITYCHURCH VERSION 1.1_JANUARY2014 VERSION 1.1_JANUARY2014

2 2 FROM PS. BEN & LIBBY We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being a part and volunteering at Generocity Church. Our church would not be complete without you doing what you do. from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16 We are so honoured that you would choose to be a part of the expression of the body of Christ that God has entrusted us with. Our journey as pastors has been an incredible God journey, and we have been so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people who are incredibly gifted and open to what God wants to do in all our lives together. This handbook has been a collaboration of several people within our team from varying campuses and dynamics. We have aimed to come up with a system that on paper will work for when we have ten campuses each 400 strong, but that can be condensed for brand new campuses. So you will find that the outworking of this handbook may vary slightly from campus to campus depending on the people and skills that are within each campus. Some of you may double up on roles initially and as we grow and make room for more people to operate in their gifting, roles will expand and separate. Along with each of these role descriptions there will be a localised checklist which will be tailored for your particular campus. The aim of these is by no means to control or restrict, but to help equip you and give you a full understanding of what is required, as well as to create consistency for those serving cross campus. Once again, we are so thankful to be doing this journey with you. We believe that every place should have the opportunity to have a great church, and it is our mandate to resource and support that. Our heart is to see the advancement of His Kingdom and His gospel spread throughout our regions. We are forever grateful and in awe of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done

3 3 OUR VISION We believe that our church will have a united heart committed to growing in Christ-like attitudes, possessing a real faith in God s Word and a passion for the kingdom of God and His purposes. We believe that our church will be contemporary and genuine, where people encounter a supernatural God and discover His love, peace and grace as we enjoy our life of putting God first We believe that our church will resource our region and partnering with others to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ, reaching the lost to see lives changed as we impact the community we serve. We believe that God s favour and blessing is on His church

4 4 OUR HEART FOR That our church be a home. A home with an atmosphere of acceptance, friendliness, faith and honour. A home of unity, where people matter and can belong. A home that is genuine and contemporary with a heart for excellence. A home that promotes an encounter with a supernatural God, that intentionally creates room for all people to have their moment with God. A home where the Spirit of God is welcomed and appreciated. A home that proclaims the message of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. A home of love, grace, freedom, value and healing.
