1 SET UP TEAM Welcome to the SET UP TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Set Up team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, working as a part of a team, and staying on task. This is one area of ministry that works within a very specific and constrained time frame. It is necessary that our Set Up Team be focused and on time every week so that we are able to be ready to start our Sunday services on time! So, please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. 8:15 Arrive 8:20 Pray 8:30 Get into building 8:30-9:45 Set up service Set up includes: Unloading the van Unpacking the closet Lifting tubs for children s ministry workers Setting up stage area (rug/tables/stools) Align the chairs Set up lamps Set the projector and screen Set up welcome table Any additional tasks Duration: 1.5 Hours
2 SOUND TEAM Welcome to the SOUND TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Sound team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, working as a part of a team, and taking instruction graciously. As a sound volunteer, we understand there will probably be things you may need to be instructed and trained to do, so please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. 8:15 Arrive 8:20 Pray with Set Up Team 8:30 Get into building 8:30-9:20 Unpack and set up sound system Includes: Setting up stage area (Mic stands, laptop, lapel mic) Check for recording Check audio for any video 9:20 Pray with worship team 9:25-9:40 Run sound check with worship team 10-11:30 Service 11:45 Tear down music equipment and sound system 12:15 Have all sound equipment put away and completed. Duration: 4 hours
3 CAFE TEAM Set up Welcome to the Café TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Cafe team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, attention to detail, and health standards. This is one area of ministry that works within a very specific and constrained time frame. It is necessary that our Cafe Team be focused and on time every week so that we are able to be ready to start our Sunday services on time and clean up and be out of the building on time! So, please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. Café Set-up: 8:15 Arrive & receive pastries from delivery person* 8:20 Pray with set up team 8:30 Get into building 8:30-9:45 WASH HANDS & Set up Café Includes: -Bring all café bins into kitchen -Set up Coffee table with condiments (creamers, sugars, and cream cheese), toaster, cups, lids, napkins, spoons, stir sticks & lamp -Make coffee & brew on Coffee Table (outlet under table) -Organize pastries on trays and set on counter -Divide bread/rolls/baguettes/extra bagels and bag them for people to take home -Put out FREE BREAD sign -Set up for communion (fill cups with juice and put out tiny pieces of crackers) -Wipe down counters 9:45pm-10:10 Greet People as they come to Café 10:10-10:15 Wipe counters & Coffee Table and WASH HANDS and restock pastries as needed *Pastries will be a mix of breads/bagels/loaves/and fine pastries Duration: 2 Hours
4 CAFE TEAM Tear Down Welcome to the Café TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Cafe team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, attention to detail, and health standards. This is one area of ministry that works within a very specific and constrained time frame. It is necessary that our Cafe Team be focused and on time every week so that we are able to be ready to start our Sunday services on time and clean up and be out of the building on time! So, please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. Café Clean-up: 11:45p-12:15 Tear down Café & clean Includes: Wash trays, tongs, rinse coffee pots with water only, WIPE COUNTERS WELL, wrap leftover pastries and breads and offer to people leaving, place all paper goods back in organized section of bins, put cream cheese in FRIDGE, and put packed tubs back in closet. 12:15 Take a picture of inventory sheet and text it to Cafe Leader Duration: 30 Minutes
5 GREETER/USHER TEAM Welcome to the GREETER/USHER TEAM! As a greeter/usher at Redemption Church, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, reaching out to every guest and congregant who attends, and staying on task. As a greeter, you will be the first person to welcome and reach out to each person who comes on Sunday! Having a warm smile and greeting is very important, and we put a great emphasis on helping every person feel at home when they come to Redemption Church. Ushering is also very important as people may have needs before/during/or after services. You will be responsible to answer questions or direct people to someone who can, direct people to our children s ministry and walk them personally to our Sunday School classroom, assist anyone with special seating needs, hand out Bibles if needed during the service, addressing any distractions that may arise during the service (such as a cell phone that becomes a distraction, a person disrupting the service, etc), and after service, being available to answer questions and assist with Connection Cards. So, please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. Your main purpose is to greet people and make them fell welcome...so SMILE:) 9:30 Arrive in REDEMPTION T-SHIRT 9:35 Pray with other Usher/Greeters 9:40-10:10 Be at each door and welcome people. Hand them a connection card and encourage people to fill it out for prayer. Escort new families with children to the Children s Classroom to sign in for Redemption Kids 10:10 Stay at the doors and direct people to a seat 10:10-10:25 Remain in the back and watch for people coming in 10:00-11:30 Make sure that no one is a distraction during service 11:30-11:45 Meet new people and pray with people. Duration: 2 Hours 15 Minutes
6 TEAR DOWN TEAM Welcome to the TEAR DOWN TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Tear Down team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, working as a part of a team, and staying on task. This is one area of ministry that works within a very specific and constrained time frame. It is necessary that our Tear Down Team be focused and efficient every week so that we are able to be out of the building on time each week! So, please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. 11:50-12:25 Begin Tear Down 12:30 Be Out of Building Tear Down includes: Packing up sound equipment and loading in van (guitars, mics, mic stands, sound system, projector, and screen Load lamps in van Pack all Café Bins into closet Bring all Redemption Kids supplies into closet Clean bathrooms if needed Empty all garbages Break down info table and pack up in tub. Place tub in closet Take down Redemption Kids banner from outside and place in closet Any additional tasks Duration: 40 Minutes
7 WORSHIP TEAM Welcome to the WORSHIP TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Worship team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, working as a part of a team, and taking instruction graciously. As a member of the worship team, we want you to know there will be people looking to you as an example, and as we will be holding you accountable as a leader in this area. This does not mean you are expected to be perfect or act like someone you are not. It is simply a reminder that when you are up in front of the Body, you are representing Christ both on and off the stage. Worship is an outflow of our heart to Jesus, so remember to keep your heart fixed on Him and worshipping Him with your heart, soul, mind, and strength. We also understand there will probably be things you may need to be instructed and trained to do, so please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. 9:15 Arrive and be set up by 9:15 (may be early if you need to set up your instrument) 9:20 Pray with Worship and Sound Team 9:25-9:40 Sound check (we will do a partial run-through) 10-11:30 Lead worship and be available the whole service (Do not leave during the message) 11:40-11:50 Tear down your instrument *SPECIAL NOTE: Being on the worship team will require practicing through out the week and a 2 hour practice with the team. Duration: 2 Hours 35 Minutes
8 VIDEO/SLIDE TEAM Welcome to the VIDEO TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Video team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, flexibility, remaining on task, and taking instruction graciously. As a Video volunteer, we understand there will probably be things you may need to be instructed and trained to do, so please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. 9:40 Arrive 9:45 Make sure you have a grasp of the service slides and songs & Review order 9:55 Be seated and ready to begin service 10-11:40 Run slides for worship (Usually a few in the beginning and a few at the end of the service) *After the first worship set make sure you click the welcome slide and sit by the computer for entire service Duration: 2 Hours
9 REDEMPTION KIDS TEAM Welcome to the REDEMPTION KIDS TEAM! As a volunteer on Redemption Church s Kid s Ministry team, we want you to know how thankful we are for your commitment and heart to serve the body in this way. Volunteering in this area will require a commitment on your part to be faithful in punctuality, consistency, flexibility, working as a part of a team, staying calm in stressful situations, and reaching out to every child and parent who attends Redemption Church. This is one area of ministry that requires a lot of patience and flexibility as well as a humble attitude to serve kids in a wide variety of ways. It is necessary that our Redemption Kids Team be focused and on time every week and prepared to stay late so that we can cheerfully and thoughtfully serve the children and parents of Redemption Church! This ministry is one that requires a lot of prayer, diligence and willingness to learn, so plan to spend your first few weeks learning from those who are leading classes already. In addition, this ministry will require ongoing training as we prayerfully adjust to meet the growing and changing needs of the kids and families we are serving. Please review the weekly schedule below, and ALWAYS ask if you have any questions at all. Expect this to take minutes for helpers and minutes for lead teachers. *SPECIAL NOTE 2: Being on the Redemption Kids Team requires a special ministry application and a background check.
