Doug Bischoff Next Generations Minister GROW STRATEGY The purpose of the Grow Strategy is to help people deepen their walk with Christ, be transformed to His likeness, surrender further to His Lordship, thirst for His Word and love Him more deeply. The primary tools of the Grow Strategy are Life Bible Study and Milestones. LIFE BIBLE STUDY Life Bible Study is a weekly, small group Gathering of the church, welcoming believers and seekers alike to experience Growing faith in Christ. Studying God s Word creates Christians who are committed to Giving away their lives by loving and serving those who need it most. Milestones is a framework for adult discipleship that extends beyond Life Bible Studies to equip people in a particular stage of life, crisis or in general discipleship. This is accomplished through semester-long courses, one-time classes and special events. GROW 2

5 GROW AT HOME FOR NEXTGEN Grow at Home is a churchwide commitment to encourage spiritual growth at home. Beyond growing in Life Bible Study and Milestones, we believe growing at home is essential to true spiritual maturity. Imagine if, as a child, you had only grown physically on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights. That wouldn t be healthy. For parents, it is vitally important you have resources, training and encouragement to be a disciple-maker in your home. To help you, we have created the Parent Path. This path consists of classes, resources, seminars and conferences. Here are the opportunities available to you this spring: 1. Featuring the inspiring teaching of Dr. Tony Evans, this six-week study calls and instructs parents to raise God-following children who are also spiritually strong and prepared to take on the assignments God has for their lives. CLASSES FOR WOMEN Habakkuk Wednesdays, Feb 6 7 8:30p CONTACT: Erin.Krafft@HoustonsFirst.org Join the Women s Ministry as we study the book of Habakkuk, which means embrace. During this 4-week study, we will examine the dialogue between the prophet and God, and his questions on God s plans for Israel. We will see God s response to Habakkuk and how Habakkuk lives up to his namesake, embraces God s plan for Israel, and worships God though the plans for Israel do not look promising. 14
