When you re sick, everything is out of kilter. If this is true for our bodies and physical health, how much more important is it for our souls to be healthy? Our society is full of people with sick souls and some don t even realize it. Toxic relationships, broken commitments, violated values, signature sins, unforgiveness, and guilt have infected the souls of millions of people even Christians. That s why the LSC family will participate together in a fall emphasis called, Soul Detox. Starting September 15, this 7 - week Sunday series and LifeGroup study will help us diagnose sicknesses that have infected our souls. We ll look into God s word for the prescription for Lethal Language, Scare Pollution, Radioactive Relationship, Septic Thoughts, and Germ Warfare. 3 Life Class Childcare Guidelines: Sunday Morning Life Classes: Sunday School for all Infants through Sixth Grade. No reservation is necessary. Check-in is available at any kiosk or the Welcome Boat or Hut. Sunday Evening Life Classes From the Discipleship Pastor EffFective Parenting in a Defective life. It s not just World for beginners; Effective it is for all believers. It s not for a limited time; it is a life journey. It s not one of Parenting in a Defective World Discipleship. It isn t a program or an event; it s a way of the things the church does; it is what the church does. Limited childcare (for Infants through Sixth Grade) is offered by reservation only on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost for this childcare; however there is a commitment to attendance and advance notice of any absences. (An information letter will be given in advance of class beginning.) There must be five pre-registered children in order for this to be offered. Donations for childcare are welcome. Being a disciple means to be a learner and follower of Jesus. It is a process of transformation; life change from who we are to becoming like Jesus in every way. It is walking as Jesus walked; living as Jesus lived. When we truly follow Him, we will experience the abundant life that Christ promised (John 10:10). When we are healthy disciples we have a healthy church. Those who experience the Art of Marriage in a Life Class may still attend the conference, which includes more information and offers the opportunity to reflect and discuss your marriage with your spouse. Life Class: Five couples including the leader and his wife, will meet over a six week period to encounter the Art of Marriage. The cost is $20.00 per couple. If you attended the conference and have your guide, there is no charge. This Life Class offers the ability to interact with other couples. Life Classes may be offered on an as-needed basis, but two sessions are being offered.
