4 ANNOUNCEMENTS Book Club has exciting plans in April. On April 10th, we plan to attend a book signing and author Q&A by "Mudbound" author, Hillary Jordan at 7 PM at the Chase Center. We will meet for dinner at 5:15 PM at Iron Hill Brewery. Please join us, even if it is just for dinner. If you can be there on April 10 for dinner, please contact Paul Weaver so that a table can be reserved at Iron Hill. BAGS OF BLESSINGS Donations Needed Please donate single-serve food items such as fruit cups, 8oz. water bottles, snack crackers, peanut butter, etc. and zip-lock gallon storage bags in support of this important adjunct ministry to our Free Lunch program. LENTEN SERVICES Please note the following dates and locations for our community Lenten Services: April 3 RPUMC April 10 Church of the Brethren All services are scheduled to start at 12 noon. CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP There is good news to share with friends and family - RPUMC has a convenient, modern, relaxed, and spirit-filled worship service at 4:30 PM every Sunday. Need to sleep in on a Sunday morning? Join us at 4:30 for some great music, encouraging and supportive scripture and a message of hope and joy! We re saving a seat for you!

5 HELP RAISE THE ROOF! AT PECOMETH A project, years in the making for Camp Pecometh, is ready to roll and looking for volunteers to Raise the Roof! on the Fellowship Hall located at the waterfront area. Volunteers are needed to help replace the old roof with a brand new one to ensure campers and guests are able to use the facility for years to come. Volunteers will work under the direction of a local contractor to strip the existing roof, then lay the new tar-paper and shingles. Persons with prior experience in roofing/construction are preferred, however there are plenty of tasks for able bodied volunteers of at least 18 years of age. Overnight lodging in an on-site bunk style, temperature-controlled facility (separate men s & women s sleeping areas) and meals are provided for the weekend of March lunch Friday through lunch on Sunday. Work will begin Friday morning at 8 am for those available; everyone else should arrive ready to start work on Saturday at 8 am. Registration is required. For more information, and to register, visit or by calling PECOMETH DAY FAMILY FUN! The Annual Family Fun-PECOMETH DAY will be held this year on Saturday, April 27. It s a perfect chance to see Pecometh for the first time and hear about our Summer Camp program, or come back to camp to revisit familiar sites and see familiar faces. Entertainers and exhibitors include balloon artist Jungle John, Party Animals Petting Zoo, Birds of Prey from the Chesapeake Bay Environment Center, and music. Food will also be available for purchase in the dining hall. For more information and to register, visit or by calling This is your chance to fish at Camp Pecometh at our 4th Annual Fishing Derby! On April 27th, join us for a morning filled with fishing, fellowship and fun. The Grand Prize is a free week of camp! For both the age groups of kids under 17, the entry fee is $10. The adult age group s entry fee is $15. Proceeds go towards our campership fund. The entry fee also includes a lunch provided at the Dining Hall during Pecometh Day, 11am-3pm that same day. Please note: participants 16 and older will need to bring a fishing license. Day of arrival time is 8:30am for check-in with fishing start time of 9am. The first church building was completed in 1908 at Glenrich Avenue and Eureka Street. The church relocated to its current location in 1926, and the present sanctuary was built in Richardson Park United Methodist Church has had a long and distinguished ministry in the community dedicated to producing fruit that is pleasing to the Lord. This tradition continues today.
