1 The Loop Today's liturgy is full of contrasts. We recall Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, with its pomp and pageantry. Then we plunge into the Passion, which ends with Jesus' burial. There is a unifying factor: On Sunday, the crowds hailed Jesus as the King of Israel, and on Friday He reigned from His cruel throne, the cross. There He destroyed death for the sake of His subjects. We offer thanksgiving for His royal, benevolent rule over us and all who bend the knee and call Jesus Lord. Readings for April 13/14: Deut. 32:36-39 Phil. 2:5-11 Luke 22:1-23 Readings for April 20/21: Is. 65: Cor. 15:19-26 Luke 24:1-12 Pearl Johnson, Alison Winslow, Ruby Trebing, Debbie Wert, Leone Schonack, Muriel Heller, Melissa Armstrong, Norbert Strecker, Ellen Stumer, Vicki Woodcook Healing for Kerry Anne Eisenach, Marilyn's granddaughter-in-law, during her relapse of cellulitis (legs), and for the doctors treating her Gabe and Leigh with struggles For family and friends affected by the floods in Iowa Strength and healing for Lynn and Carol, brother and sister of Darlene Ommen Many thanks from Dottie Gravning for all your prayers and support.
