VISION A world where every woman & girl has ready access to hygiene solutions. Hygiene solutions are a little thing that becomes a big thing quickly, when millions of women and girls suddenly have what they need to stay in school, pursue opportunity, and succeed. Days for Girls envisions a world where menstruation is no longer a source of shame and taboo. Through volunteers, through enterprises, and through public and private partnerships, Days for Girls is working to shift how women and girls see themselves and are seen by their communities. We offer girls and women with new life choices and spur narrative change, through providing sustainable hygiene solutions, health education, and income-generation opportunities. There are a lot of things that are hard to change in the world. This isn t one of them. Join with us, and show what s possible when we work together on behalf of women & girls. Join us WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 28 TH AT 9:30AM in Herrington Hall (held the last Wednesday of each month)

BOOK REVIEW- FROM THE LIBRARIAN ALL IS GRACE by Brennan Manning (A Ragamuffin Memoir) On April 27, 1934, a little boy was born who grew up to become a vagabond evangelist in patchwork pants, fiercely daring us to believe a line too good to be true. God loves you as you are and not as you should be. His name is Brennan Manning. He has boldly preached of a love of Jesus vast, unmeasured, boundless and free. And he has faithfully pointed to a tender, elemental fury that blows where it wills in a word, grace. But before the fame of his ragamuffin gospel, Brennan Manning was a son, brother, journalist, priest, husband, father, and friend. This is that part of the story, a necessary piece of the larger puzzle of grace. These pages tell the story of a man whose name has not always been Brennan. IDEAS FOR PARENTS A collection of Tips, Insights, and Activities for Real-World Parenting By Mark Matlock & Christopher Lyon You know you should be more than just housemates with your kids, but as their lives become as busy as yours, that feeling of belonging together can fade. How do you maintain close bonds with your kids? What can you do if you sense that your kids are pulling away in an unhealthy manner? And what can you, as a family, actually do together what will be meaningful that staring at screens in the same room? With practical advice on how to deepen and expand your most important human connections, Ideas for Parents will lead you in ways to develop and nourish the spiritual appetite of your family. Divided into short, easy to read sections so you can go straight to the topic most pressing in your household, Ideas for Parents helps you live as the parent you want to be so your children can become the adults God meant them to be. WITHOUT WARNING by Joel C. Rosenberg (A J.B. Collins Novel) What if ISIS pulls off the unthinkable and unleashes catastrophic terror attacks in the American Homeland? The State of the Union address is minutes away. The president of the United States is set to tell a joint session of Congress and the American people that the U.S. if finally winning the war against the Islamic State. But after tracking ISIS from Istanbul to Baghdad to Amman, New York Times national security correspondent J.B. Collins fears the worst is yet to come. ISIS jihadists have infiltrated the U.S. They are planning to launch catastrophic attacks inside American cities that could make the horrors of 9/11 pale by comparison. But Collins has uncovered only part of the story. The full truth may be worse than the American people s darkest fears. And the consequences may be harder than Collins is prepared to imagine.

Children's Ministry at FBKingsville This month we have included part 3 of a five-part series all about Children s Ministry! Each month we will answer a different question. This month is all about: WHO ARE WE SERVING I am a terrible gift giver. I have these fantastic intentions of giving the most unique gift possible, but that approach has fallen woefully short more times than I care to recount! Over the past few years, I have taken a different approach. I have learned to watch and listen to my potential recipients closely for ideas. I have improved, but practicing intentional relationship will always be the key. This past weekend, the Jr. Church and Nursery workers got together to talk to one another and learn from each other, in other words, to practice intentional relationship. The area that we explored as a larger group is culture. What does the culture in which our children have to navigate actually look like? Here are just a few of the insights we were able to come up with: -social media -instant news feed -technology -divorce/family issues -mental/physical health issues -bullying -educational pressures -extra curricular pressures We can never underestimate the profound effect this culture has on shaping our children. In essence, we were listening to and watching closely the culture around us. Knowing this helps us in our approach to our children as we seek to attach their lives to Jesus. Opening our eyes to each individual child rather than as a targeted group. This is literally the Who? of the Who? we are trying to reach! Practicing intentional relationship will be the only way we are able to come alongside families and help them as they seek to raise spiritually healthy children. It is the difference between being a church family and running a program. Submitted by: Laura Gaffan

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. If God is real then we want more than anything to live like it. Come as we gather together to refresh our hearts and renew our desire for loving God and loving each other. Invite your girl friends (ages teen & up) to spend a day with you. Register by fbkingsville@gmail.com or call (please inform if gluten free option is required) For more information speak to Tracey Bagley or Heather Skeates. At IF:Gathering 2018, we will look at one of Paul s letters to Timothy as he reminded him of the power and responsibility of sharing the gospel. We want to give God away in the very places He has put us, we re going to gather for the purpose of remembering why following God and making disciples matters. We all get tired, we all wonder if what we re doing matters, IF:Gathering 2018 will be the reminder it will be the celebration. The work we re doing to share the gospel on the earth is worth it. God DOES move through the little things that nobody sees.

Kingsville Community Food Bank 18 Division Street, North Kingsville, ON Year-End Letter N9Y IC8 December, 2017 Dear Supporters, The problem of hunger in Canada isn't going away. Many of you are surprised that we even need a food bank in Kingsville. But the need to use a food bank isn't necessarily about the food. Most often it's about income. The people who go hungry in Canada are almost always in a low-income group. Their ability to afford good quality and nutritious food is constantly hampered by their cost of housing, their utility bills and whatever other financial obligations that conflict with their budget for groceries. While half of households who use food banks report that their primary source of income is welfare, 15% are employed. They earn an income but it's just not enough. While volunteering for the Kingsville Food Bank, we have learned that we are all only one or two paychecks away from being in a financial crisis ourselves. It's a very humbling thought, and helps us to be more understanding of those we are trying to help. In 2017, we had 180 families on our books. Some came in occasionally, some came regularly every three weeks, and some came only once or twice. Whatever their reason for accessing the food bank, the bottom line is...we were only able to help them because of YOU. We do not belong to the Food Bank Association and we do not receive any government funding. We depend entirely on generous donations from people like you. And we are so very grateful for people like you!!! We could not pay our rent and keep our doors open without people like you! Our very existence depends on people like you!!! Please accept our humble and most appreciative thank you for all you do for us. We are blessed to have your support and we wish you much joy and success in Sincerely, Marilyn Mayville Allen Coordinator: Kingsville Community Food Bank
