Yes, I am one of those people who cannot wait until after Thanksgiving to begin decorating to celebrate Christmas. By the time Thanksgiving comes, most of our decorations are up and ready to go. Please understand that Thanksgiving is a very special time for our family to get together and a time for giving thanks to our Heavenly Father for all of His blessings. But then every day is a day of giving thanks to our Lord for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do in the days to come. My hope for you is your Thanksgiving is filled with gratitude to the Lord and much love and family time. As we approach Christmas this year and every year, in the midst of all the beauty of the lights and the joy of giving to one another let us remember the real reason for the season. The Saturday morning seminar at the SJBA Mission Center will include a continental breakfast and an important time discussion for the leaders of the church. SJBA will also sponsor a Senior Life Conference on February 25 at First Baptist, Baytown. Participants will have an opportunity to choose 4 sessions from among 8 choices that address a spectrum of issues facing senior adults, their children, and caregivers. Registration for both events is through the office.
