The Bible has turned the word never into a blessed word for Christians. As God s children we can rejoice in our Never Land. Heaven is our forever land but there are some blessed nevers too. Consider these verses: * Cast your burden on the Lord and He shall sustain you. He shall never permit the righteous to be moved Psalm 55:22. * The God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed Daniel 2:44. * Whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst John 4:14. * He who comes to Me shall never hunger John 6:35. * If anyone keeps My word he shall never see death John 8:51. * I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish John 10:28. * Love never fails I Corinthians 13:8. September / October 2015 Closer to Forever Than You Think Is Never Land by Dr. Milton Redeker * I will never leave you nor forsake you Hebrews 13:5. God s nevers are just as important as His forever. One of the greatest things about heaven will be the loss of the sinful tendencies of our flesh. Oh to be in a forever land where we will never again falter or fail, never yield to temptation, never even face temptation! To anticipate a world where death will never stalk us, tears will never flow from our eyes, fatigue will never hinder our work, worries will never come to our minds, some of the greatest blessings of heaven will be those things that are not there. No anxious thoughts, no painful nights, no broken hearts, no sense of loneliness or abandonment. We will never tire of God s love, never stray from His promises, and never have a day that isn t blessed for we re told in Psalm 23 that goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. As the gospel song says, the blood will never lose it power. In the dictionary, the word never means at no time in the past or future; on no occasion; not ever. We should be comforted in the nevers that should bring us comfort, joy and strength. Once you see them, you ll praise God for His never-ceasing grace.

2 Page 2 UBC Primetime Newsletter God s Word Is Alive and Powerful By Dr. Milton Redeker If I could only have one wish for God s people, it would be that all of us would realize the power of the Word of God that we would acknowledge once and for all that the Bible is our strong foundation. Do you really believe that? I hope so, because believing it makes an enormous difference. Our world grows more clouded and confused every day. But the Bible? Still clear...still full of straight talk...still showing us what s right and what s strong, good and bad...still empowering us to say yes and no. It provides the solid stuff you and I need to stand firm...and as I have experienced, it will show up when you need it the most. For many years and by God s grace I have been attempting to live by that principle since becoming a Christian in February of There have been times that this hasn t been true but I never lost Faith in the power of God s Word to redeem, restore and reward faithfulness to my Lord. 3 UBC Primetime Newsletter Page 3 Senior Adult Revival Until Then September Dr. Bisagno was born on April 5, 1934 in Augusta, Kansas, He is married to Uldine Beck and they have three children: Ginger Dodd, Anthony Bisagno, and Timothy Bisagno. John and Uldine have eight grandchildren. John Bisagno is Pastor Emeritus of the 25,000 member First Baptist Church of Houston, TX. He is the author of 30 books, including the best seller, The Power of Positive Praying. He served as the President of the Southern Baptist Pastors Conference and has gained national recognition as a dynamic and effective crusade evangelist and Bible teacher. He was the first preacher on the Southern Baptist ACTS Television Network. He received a Doctor of Divinity degree from his alma mater, Oklahoma Baptist University, as well as a Doctor of Letters from Southwest Missouri Baptist University and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Houston Baptist University where a Chair of Evangelism is named in his honor and he serves as a trustee. In 1980 The Houston Chronicle named him the Man of the Decade in Religious Life and in 2000 the Texas Baptist Standard named him one of the fifty Most Influential Texas Baptist of the Century. Dr. Bisagno began his ministry in music evangelism. Soon afterward, he was called into the preaching ministry and traveled as an evangelist for 12 more years. In 1965, he was called to the pastorate at First Southern Baptist Church in Del City, Oklahoma. He pastored there until In February, 1970, Dr. Bisagno began his pastorate at Fist Baptist of Houston. During Dr. Bisagno s ministry at Houston s First Baptist Church, the church relocated from downtown, purchased property, and built new facilities. The church gave 250 million dollars; received in excess of 40,000 members, including 15,000 by baptism; started 63 local missions and 3 schools and sent over 800 of its members into full time Christian service, including 101 to the foreign mission field. Dr. Bisagno has spoken at the Southern Baptist Convention, the World Congress on Evangelism, and every major state convention and state evangelism conference. He has conducted 37 international evangelistic crusades, lectured at every Southern Baptist seminary, and currently serves on the Adjunct Faculty of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also been a guest lecturer at 17 Billy Graham Schools of Evangelism. Dr. Bisagno was saved in 1952 at the world s largest youth encampment - Falls Creek Baptist Assembly in Oklahoma. 55 years later the new 7250 seat Falls Creek Tabernacle Worship Center was named in his honor.

4 Page 4 UBC Primetime Newsletter 2015 Revival Music Coordinators In December of 2003, George and Darline Archer retired after serving at UBC for 26 years as Worship Leader and Church Administrator. Darline served as Church Pianist for those years. In retirement, UBC titled them as homeland missionaries. That journey has taken them all across America, from Oregon, to New Orleans to North Carolina and many points in between. They have served many churches through various capacities as they have traveled the country in their motorhome. George and Darline seek to put wheels on Matthew 28:19-20 and to always be prepared to give an answer. 1 Peter 3;15 In the beginning of their journey, they became members of the worlds largest Motorhome RV Association named FMCA, Family Motorhome Coach Association: Finding a need within FMCA to have RV Clubs or Chapters based on Christian Fellowship, they began an RV Chapter called Coaches for Christ. George has served as President of that organization for 9 of the last 10 years. The CFC has now established CFC Chapters in all 10 Areas of FMCA all across our Nation. Just two weeks ago all 10 Chapters gathered in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin for a National CFC Rally directed by the Archers. Also as a part of FMCA, George now serves as a National Chaplain and as the South Central Area Chaplain, conducting Morning Devotionals and Weekend Worship at FMCA National Conventions and Area Rallies. This has led them to Georgia, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Oregon, California, Texas, South Carolina, Kansas, Louisiana and Missouri. They also stand ready to meet any spiritual needs in the lives of FMCA members. 5 UBC Primetime Newsletter Page 5 Primetimer Road Trips! October 6-7 Bush Presidential Library & Amon Carter Museum The Prime Timers visited Hemi Hideout on August 13, and had an amazing time. From everything we had heard and read, we expected to be impressed and we absolutely were! The collection of neon signs is spectacular and their bright lights make the place look and feel like a carnival! The classic cars are exciting and brought back wonderful memories of times when we saw and heard those cars in our neighborhoods and maybe even owned one! The guys talked about those great engines...and the gals discussed the furnishings of the Hideout and how spotless everything was! Everyone enjoyed the complimentary sodas and the ultimate peanut butter and brownie ice cream! Our sincere thanks to John Hovas and the volunteers who made us feel so welcomed and answered our many questions. Save the date for our next Primetime day trip.friday, November 6! Introducing September s Primetime Dinner Entertainer.Beverly Terrell God is truly a "God of Surprises". For years Beverly Terrell had been one of the most sought-after soloists and seminar speakers in the world of Christianity. She had sung and spoken from coast to coast as well as in Europe, South America, and Billy Graham Crusades...but her "real" life actually revolved around her husband Jack and their three sons...along with earning a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance at S M U. In the 80's Jack's business moved the Terrell's from Dallas to Houston where they became active members of Second Baptist Church. Soon, after 45 yrs of marriage, He died of an autoimmune illness. But at that time, our God of "Surprises" invaded Beverly's life with a business opportunity that would bring with it major life changes and awesome ministry blessings. She is now an Executive Director of Premier Designs Jewelry Company, which is one of the fastest-growing, debtfree, and Biblically-based corporations in the United States. Recently Beverly was recognized as "Outstanding Houston Christian Business Woman" by Houston s "Inspire Women". Audiences now look forward to "visiting" with her from her piano bench as she leads them vocally and spiritually thru Praise & Worship (and laughter!)... As God prompts us to "Count it ALL...J O Y"!!!
