Book Joe DiSalvo Newsletter Editor: Mary Jo Phillips The North Hills Historic Auto Club was founded in August of Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month in the school cafeteria of St. Alphonsus Church located on Church Road (Rt. 19 & Rt. 910) in Wexford, unless otherwise noted in the monthly newsletter. The newsletter is published monthly. All articles for publication must be received no later than the 20 th of each month to MJ Phillips 263 Forsythe Rd., Valencia, PA or Any car or club-related news from the membership is greatly appreciated. An application for membership is located on the club website at Application for membership and annual dues should be sent to Jack Swaney P.O. Box 152 Mars, PA Membership dues are $20.00 per year, payable by the first day of January. 3 Minutes of the North Hills Historic Auto Club August 8, 2010 After the Pledge of Allegiance, President Jan Smith asked if there were any corrections or additions to the Minutes of July 11, There were none. Treasurer Jack Swaney reported that there was $4, in the account. John Trn motioned to accept his report and Phil Deakin seconded. Frank Pribanic was not present since he was ill. No guests were in attendance. Old Business: Jack Swaney said that the September picnic will begin at 1:00 and we will eat around 3:00. Directions to Chuck Glenz s home will be in next Newsletter. September 4, 2010 will be the last day for picnic reservations. Members with last names A-J are to bring a dessert to the picnic and K-Z are to bring a side dish. The Indian Lake tour is leaving the Oakmont entrance to the turnpike at 9:00 a.m. New Business: Jan and Bonnie Smith s trip to the glass blowing factory is scheduled for September 26, 2010 leaving at approximately 10:00 a.m. Details to follow. There will also be a car collection to view and an ice cream stop. A lunch tour is leaving Target on Route 8 on September 18, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. Steve Illsley reported that the Men s luncheons are starting on October 29, Jan Smith inquired of the members if they would like to prepare a listing of folks in the Club who would like to drive for weddings, etc. if requested. Insurance seemed to be an issue and Steve Illsley volunteered to check this out and members were asked to contact their own insurance companies for information. Jan then indicated that we were going to King s after the meeting. Phil Deakin took a Third Place at the Duncan Manor Shopping Center cruise today. Michael Quinn motioned to adjourn the meeting. 5 In Remembrance June O Neill June A. O'Neill, 76 of Hampton Twp., died on Wed., Aug 11, She is survived by: her son, Patrick (Jane) O'Neill; daughters, Jean (Mike) Henry; Jane Miller; Debbie (Vince) Polito Seven grandchildren; Heather; Jason; Sean; Joe; Alyssa; Jon; and Cole; sister, Mary Ellen (Walt) Schmitzer and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial donations may be sent to: Alzheimer's Association Greater PA Chapter, 3544 North Progress Avenue, Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA From a discussion at the August meeting. Do not use your antique car for hire. It is not covered under your antique car insurance. Choosing to transport people for activities other than those stated in your policy (tours, cruises and shows) is considered a Livery Service and you and your occupants are not covered by your insurance.
