Fred McClincy ***A Witness To The Power*** Was watching an old episode of Touched By An Angel where all these people in this small town would not believe in God even when confronted by an angel unless they witnessed the miraculous power the angels in the name of God exhibited. How fantastic it would be to see, shazam, all of sudden, actual miracles by the Creator. The power of the Almighty is marvelous to behold indeed. Yet there are so many people who are surrounded by His supernatural works and cannot see or understand where they originate. The power and proofs of The Lord are all around us, and we ourselves, are living testimonies of His Miracles. Just take the human eye for example, there are no scientists that can explain how it came to be and work the way it does. As scripture states in Romans 1:19-20 (Complete Jewish Bible CJB); because what is known about God is plain to them, since God has made it plain to them. For ever since the creation of the universe his invisible qualities both his eternal power and his divine nature have been clearly seen, because they can be understood from what he has made. Therefore, they have no excuse; And as Jesus said about himself being miraculously risen from the dead when confronted by doubting Thomas in John 20:29 (New American Standard Bible NASB); Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed. Thank You Lord, that you have opened my eyes to see and my ears to hear Your Word and Your Truth. Please continue to do so for others. All these years the church body has relied on the pastor and staff to come up, plan/organize and execute all the events and activities. The church is the body. We are the ones called to take up the cross, to carry Jesus into our everyday lives and share him and his love. This is Living Missional. Pastor highlighted our TEAM as an example. We are called to reach Motorcyclist, a group he can t reach. but we can do it, the church staff can help. They supported the blessing of the bikes we held with the parking lot and coffee. This is the new model. Church members, the body, believers in Christ; go use the things we love, the things we do that bring us into the community and the give us opportunity to build relationships, that will allow us to share Christ, and will then progress into making disciples. You can do it, we can help. I am so glad I picked up that Let me tell you about MJM flier at Davisville Baptist. I m grateful to be a part of this ministry and look forward to Telling Everyone About Messiah as our TEAM grows. R/ BJR 4

More important is where you choose to spend it. Choose, this day, where you will wake up every morning for the rest of your life. Before you read another word decide if you want God to bless you and keep you close at heart. He already has shown how much he loves you and the sacrifice to that end. If you decide that you are doing alright without God, then you won't hear the rest of the kingdom of heaven (which I will abbreviate as KoH )....Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them (Mat 13:11). He who has ears... (has a heart to seek Gods' will and will be given spiritual ears to)...let him hear. (Mathew 13:9 repeated in Mathew 13:43). God repeats his Word because he wants us to have a heart after him. God wants you to hear what is the best for you. He knows the pleasure seeking desires of our hearts, of the treasures and power we covet. Sex, drugs and rock and roll or whatever vices and distractions are real and rewarding. He knows the to die for/gotta have it temporal offerings of the enemy-the Deceiver. The desires of the flesh are like money (the root of all evil). We won't be satisfied for long and will want more or need another high. Someone inevitably gets hurt. At the end of the road something inside is missing. Love! Not only a hollowness but a fear of the unknown beyond this world. We don't need spiritual ears to know about Satan, the devil, the dark, fire and gnashing of teeth. Your ears may have made you ponder about eternity. God may have whispered how much he loves you. Most likely, you have heard For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). But there is more. The apostle John was an eyewitness of Jesus. John walked and talked with Jesus, saw him heal, heard him teach, watched him die, met him arisen, and saw him ascend. John knew God-he had lived with him and had seen him work. And John enjoyed fellowship with the Father and Son all the days of his life (excerpts from NIV intro to I John). In his letter of encouragement, he writes. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so, we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:7-18). Love conquers all. However, the world, we live in, is far different from John walking with Jesus and contemplating the power to love everyone. We are subjected to terrorist s attacks, mass school shootings and even political persuasion torpedoing the truths of Gods' Word to grade school children. To recount our personal dismay in mankind would be kindred to letting the Deceiver have his cake and eat it, too. Where there is Light, darkness has to flee. In order, for us to be empowered by Gods' love we must follow the teaching of the greatest man born-john the Baptist. Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he (Mat 11:11). He prepared the world for our Savior by 6

7 proclaiming Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near (Mat 3:2). To repent is to turn 180 from our selfcenteredness that leads to the desires of our flesh. After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased (Mark 7-11). We will stop rebelling and follow Gods' way of living according to his Word by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The son of God, created in the body of Jesus, brought the Kingdom of Heaven to earth for us. Jesus proclaimed... The kingdom of heaven has come near (Mat 10:7). Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand... For this people s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them (Mat 13:13-15). Repent and turn from our ways that leads to brokenness so that you may enter the gates of the KoH on earth....simon Peter answered, You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Jesus replied, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. Jesus... the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Mat 20:20). And.. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven (Mat 16:16-19). Then Jesus said to his disciples, Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? (Mat 16:24-26). At the end of your life you will groan when your flesh and body are spent. You will say, 'How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction! I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors.' (Proverbs 5:11-13). If we go thru life without Gods' providence, our desires of the flesh will choose the temporal satisfaction. Allowing the Holy Spirit to go before us will prepare us of the dangers and follies and help us make decisions that will give us heaven on earth. Without yielding to the Holy Spirits' guidance the temptations will be too great to resist and will not want to listen to wisdom as our flesh burns with desire. Repent and turn to God, better to have heaven on earth than: the good life and have an accident or become cripple; making tons of money and the stock market crashes; winning lottery and getting robbed of your life; living in garden of paradise and enduring a long drought or having it all and at the end it rusts or burns. The good life is better with love. God is love. We love others living in the love of God! I pray for all to have heaven on earth, the KoH that began when God came to earth as our Savior in the flesh as Jesus. No greater love than Jesus that he would suffer to save a wretch like me. I know no one who sweated droplets of blood of fear for anyone or thing. When he ascended to heaven God would give those who sought his heart and love his Holy Spirit. Receiving the Holy Spirit gives us a heart to seek Gods' will and spiritual ears to understand Gods' calling. Allowing us to have the KoH as heaven on earth. It is not a physical thing like food and water but a spiritual realization that God wants his chosen to grow and love now on earth as it will be done in heaven. It is the infilling of the Holy Spirit that makes us beacons of Gods' love. A beacon of hope for the lost and weary. A peace and joy beyond our human understanding. A reflection of Gods' love to give hope to the hopeless. And as we walk in the KoH having heaven on earth the Holy Spirit will not be contained within us. The Spirit of Gods' immeasurable love will produce fruit in us to serve and bless as his Holy Spirit leads. More on life in the heaven on earth next month. It's a hallelujah good time fer sure!!!!!!!meanwhile please join me in prayer. Luke 10:2- The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 11 30 th MJM SKO At Flight 93 Memorial and Quecreek Mine Flight 93 On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, the U.S. came under attack when four commercial airliners were hijacked and used to strike targets on the ground. Nearly 3,000 people tragically lost their lives. Because of the actions of the 40 passengers and crew aboard one of the planes, Flight 93, the attack on the U.S. Capitol was thwarted. With the new visitors center this is an emotional experience. This is all free to the public. Quecreek Mine We invite you to come visit the rescue site where you can walk right up to the rescue shaft where the miners emerged from the dark, cold mine 240 feet below after 77 hours of frigid darkness. You will be greeted by the 7 foot tall bronze statue of a coal miner at the top of the walkway into the rescue site. Hear the story of the miracle from people personally involved in the rescue. Touch the rescue capsule and try to imagine how it would feel to squeeze into it with your strength nearly gone. This has a $7.00 fee to enter the visitors center all money is used to expand the center. The Visitors center has a film of the farmer describing the day s events from the first person that was doing surveying on his property to locate the shaft till the end when all 9 were rescued. There are also recorded voices of the miners when they hit water.
