6 t Page6ofl9 June2017 We also want to say this about our ministry: We have a somewhat unique organizational structtire in our church. The entire congregation is divided into 8 house groups. Most months, a couple ofthese groups are responsible for all ofthe duties related to the Sunday services, such as communion preparation and serving, ushering and offering collection, front and back door greeting, etc. We have a Leadership Team and certain key committees such as M&P and Pastoral Care, but much of the work of the church is done by Interest Groups, formed by groups of people who have an interest in a certain area of ministry. We currently have Interest Groups focussing on such areas as worship, property, truth and reconciliation, the environment and finances. The population is aging, resulting in people being less mobile. There is also a lack ofseniors housing in the area.

24 FINANCIAL VIABILITY REVIEW THINKING ABOUT THE DATA YOU HAVE COLLECTED ABOVE Appendix H The covenant with a minister that you call is seen to be at least a 3-year commitment. you will be able to meet that commitment? Show how (Can you see how) OBSERVATIONS: Treasurer s Observations: Over the last 6 years the revenue has been fairly consistent ranging from a $221,000 to $236,000 and there have been surpluses during 4 of those years. However, there are concerns in our congregation as to how much of our income is being raised by fundraisers and rental income, last year that amount was approximately $43,000. Another concern is the average age of our congregation many of whom are retired or on fixed incomes. However, this year I believe we will be able to meet all of our expenses. Sincerely Jim Treller Treasurer Ministry Profile Committee s Observations ( if separate from above): Presbytery s Observations (if expected by Presbytery): RECOMMENDATIONS: Now that you have all of this information, what is your plan for ministry (Ministry Stream, highest category you feel you can afford, full or part time) and how are you planning to pay for this for at least a three year commitment? Ministry Profile Committee s, Board s and Treasurer s Recommendation: Pastoral Charge is viable to call appoint a minister in Category for j hours per week.
