1 BBC Update Outreach Week During the week of September 10 through 16 Bible Baptist will host Dr. Noel Meadowcroft and Mr. Rick Hendricks who will initiate and facilitate an effective outreach emphasis. Both men will bring years of experience, instruction, and examples to challenge the assembly members to do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:12). Their approach will include 1) canvassing the neighborhoods, 2) following up on contacts, Dr. Thomas Strouse and 3) starting home Bible studies. Although many members of Bible Baptist regularly invite family, friends, and colleagues to church, this will be another avenue to reach the lost with the glorious Gospel. Since only the New Testament baptizing agency has the sole responsibility to practice the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19-20), we at Bible Baptist want to take advantage of this opportunity and responsibility. Did not the Apostle Paul state, saying, But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Rom. 10:8-15)? As with any spiritual endeavor there will be difficulties. We can identify with the Apostle to the Gentiles, who said, saying, For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries (I Cor. 16:9). Pray for us. 2 BBC Ministry Personnel photos BBC Ministry Personnel 2 New Members! Various members of Bible Baptist are involved in serving the Lord in this Body of Christ. They recognize their individual responsibility to do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:12) as they have presented their bodies a living sacrifice (Rom. 12:1). The ministry of the Bible Baptist saints is appreciated by the Lord, by the Pastor, and by the other members of the Body of Christ. Mr. John Czako ministers to the residents of One MacDonough Place every Sunday at 4 PM. The service consists of preaching, singing, and prayer requests. We want those at this stage of life to experience the love of Christ, and that none would say with the psalmist, I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul (Ps. 142:2). We care for these folks because Jesus cares for them. Mrs. Sara Rossignol and Mrs. Linda Codrington (pictured) helps in producing and distributing the BBC Update bimonthly publication. New Members! Bible Baptist is pleased to announce two saints who have been added to the assembly by the Lord. Scripture states, But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him (I Cor. 12:18). On August 13, 2017, Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Karen Williams joined Bible Baptist based on their individual testimonies of profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and believer s immersion in a NT assembly. The Lord convicts and leads believers to individual churches according to His good pleasure. All members have pledged to support the ministry of the church with their presence, prayers, and pecuniary responsibilities. In return, they will have a pastor who prays for them and feeds them the Word of God. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Williams

3 Devotional Corner The Great Victory of the Bodily Resurrection 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 The great victory for those who are saved through the blood of Christ is here Dr. Caswell A. Reeves referred to as a mystery that the Apostle Paul reveals by sharing, We shall not all sleep (die) v.51, but some shall be changed (transformed) in a moment (indivisible amount of time: atom), in the twinkling of an eye (stoke of time), at the last trump (trumpet) v.52. At this time, the believers who had died but were saved shall be raised from the died incorruptible (immortal, without decay) v.52. Furthermore, the believers who are still alive shall be changed (transformed) v.52. It should be noted, these verses teach that the believers who have died shall be resurrected in an atom of time before the living believers are changed without dying. The Apostle Paul goes on to explain to the reason for this change. He states, this corruptible (perishing body) must put on incorruption (perpetuity in purity), and this mortal (subject to death) must put on immortality (everlasting life, life not subject to death) v.53. Paul continues to say, by citing Hosea 13:14, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (vv.54,55) The resurrection of the believer s body is a promise that believers understand that God has given. It is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who declared, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25). The believer should be thankful (grateful) for his victory over death through Jesus Christ (v.57). Also the believer, knowing the joy of an incorruptible body awaits him, it challenges him to be steadfast (standing firm on truth), unmoveable (not to be moved from truth), always abounding (continually giving his all) in the work of the Lord, because he knows it is not in vain (empty labor) to do so. This promise of victory in the transformed body, which is incorruptible and eternal can be gained through Jesus Christ, who is the only begotten Son of God when sinners receive Him as their Savior. Do you have confidence and do you know that death has no victory over you? The new body awaits you in Christ. Satan is deceiving many today using sorcery, magic, and enchantments which the Lord calls an Abomination. Satan has witchcraft in children s television programming, in cell phone apps, video games, in movies, on clothing, and in many cases people are not even aware of it. Recently there has been a push to begin After School Satan Clubs in the public schools. We are not in the Tribulation time BUT there is a progression in our society toward normalizing witchcraft, magic, etc... that there will be little resistance after the saints are raptured. Revelation 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Challenge: Pay careful attention to what you do, what you listen to, or participate in, and discern when the enemy of your soul is using trickery to entice your participation. PROTECT your Children!
