These courses are meant to augment the seminarian s opportunity to study and be able to graduate without being limited to modules classes. BBC To host Stanford Achievement Test for Homeschooled Students Bible Baptist will once again host the Stanford Achievement test for Homeschooled students. The Stanford-10 Achievement Test is a nationally recognized test used by educators across the US. As a norm-referenced test, the Stanford-10 not only offers the home educator information on their student s achievement, it also provides comparisons based on nationwide test results. The bottling process The Stanford-10 Achievement test will be administered at Bible Baptist, in Cromwell, CT on Tuesday, April 28, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Thursday, April 30, from 9:00 AM 1:00 PM. 4 Devotional Corner 4 The Doyle Measure: Devotional Corner The Doyle Measure: The Doyle Measure is a wooden ruler-like log scale for measuring the diameter of trees. This measuring ruler in the hands of a skilled forester or woodsman helps him to determine the board foot volumes of standing trees and harvested logs. It can also be used to determine the Pastor Cas Reeves heights of standing trees. Most Doyle measuring sticks are a little less than a yard in length and usually a little wider than a yard stick in width. Unlike the Doyle stick, the Doyle ruler is usually like a folding ruler with the Doyle scale and is carried by most loggers. The Word of God is also a measuring tool, but instead of measuring trees it measures men and their lives. It can tell you where you came from, what you are doing here and where you are going to end up when this life is over. LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am (Psalm 39:4). The Word of God is a true standard that all men can use as a guide through life. The Word of God is a cleanser from sin as the Psalmist David mentioned many years ago. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes (Psalm 119:9-12). Just as the Doyle Stick is a measurement of a trees life and wealth, so is the Word of God the measure of a man s life. Have you been measuring your life with God s measure? Don t use a misguiding measure devised by man to measure your life, but rather the true measure of God s Word.
