2 Welcome We are glad you chose to worship with us today. No matter what your previous experience with church may be, it is our hope that today s service will be a fresh encounter with God s love and power for your life. This folder will guide you as we worship together. Welcome to Christ Community Church. Our purpose Christ Community Church exists to experience and extend the grace of Jesus Christ in Gainesville and throughout the world. We seek to make a visible difference in the quality of life in our city. Our name comes from two beliefs: God has created people to share life together in community. People cannot reach their full potential unless they enjoy a relationship with God and know him personally. We are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Children We offer a range of Christ-centered programming for children throughout the morning. Sunday School (9:00-10:15AM) is provided for children ages 3 years to 5th grade. At 10:50AM, children ages 3 years to 3rd grade have the option to attend Children's Church during the sermon they will be dismissed from the service to a volunteer who will lead them to their classrooms. Care for toddlers and 2-year-olds is available all morning, and the nursery is always open to babies and nursing mothers. Please visit the Welcome Station for more information and to register your children. Please consider volunteering to serve in Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings this summer. There are needs in every age group. You can use the tear off form on the back of the bulletin to signup. Christian Study Center You are invited to the Christian Study Center's 15th Anniversary celebration on Friday, June 17th at the Study Center. Join them at 6:00 p.m. for hors d'ourvers followed at 7:00PM by "Beyond Overwhelmed: Work, Leisure and Freedom," a lecture by Karl Johnson, Founding Director of the Chesterton House at Cornell University. 6 Community in Action This Week A. Quinn Jones Staff Appreciation Lunch Friday, June 10, 10:30AM-12:30PM at A. Quinn Jones. Each year at the close of the school year we celebrate the staff of AQJ. We need people to set up, serve, clean up and provide food. All non-perishable items can be brought to church on Sunday, June 5th or to the church office the week of the luncheon. Perishable items can be dropped off at Stacey Davis house. If you have any questions, please contact Stacey at or Reverse Missions Opportunity Deadline Extended For several years now, CCC families have hosted Chinese students in their homes for two weeks during the summer. Currently there are 18 girls which have not been placed in homes for this summer. If this is something you are interested in, please contact Debbie Cason at or Youth Group Dive In Friday, June 10th, 6:30-11:00PM. Middle and High school students, join us for this kickoff to summer! We will be having a pool party with games, dinner and a movie. Please bring $5 to cover the cost of dinner.
