2 OUR AFFIRMATION OF FAITH I believe in God, the maker of Heaven and Earth, the ruler and preserver of our lives. I believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, my Lord, and Savior. I believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeded from the Father and Son, who is the giver of life. I believe in the Bible, the Universal Church, Holy Baptism, and the Lord s Supper. I believe in the Resurrection of the dead and life in the world to come. With God All Things Are Possible RESPONSIVE READING Matthew 19:23-29 (NKJV) LEADER: 23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. ALL: 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
