Scripture Corner: THIRTEETH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME First Reading: Jeremiah 31:7-9 Jeremiah speaks of God reuniting the people of Israel after their exile. He states that although they departed in tears, God will lead them all back and protect them, because he is father to Israel. Second Reading: Hebrews 5:1-6 Each high priest is taken from among people and offers sacrifices for their sins. High priests do not choose to take on this honor, but are chosen by God. Even Christ did not choose this office, but was chosen by God to be a priest forever. Gospel: Mark 10:46-52 A blind beggar approached Jesus and pleaded that Jesus heal him. Jesus called the man over and said, Your faith has healed you. The man immediately received his sight and proceeded to follow Jesus up the road.

3 All Souls Day Envelopes All Souls Day envelopes may be returned in any collection or directly to the rectory. Please return as soon as possible to make sure your intentions will be on the altar for November 2nd. All Saints Day Thursday, November 1st All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. Catholics are expected to attend Mass. Parish Offices are open. Masses will be celebrated: Wednesday October 31st Vigil 5:15 pm Thursday November 1st : 7:00 am** 9:00 am 12:00 Noon 7:30 pm **There will not be an 8 am Mass** All Souls Day Friday, November 2nd Masses will be celebrated: 8:00 am 9:00 am **12:00 Noon** 7:30 pm Religious Education There will be no Religious Education classes at St. Marys on All Hallows Eve, Wednesday, October 31st. There will be a 5:15 pm Vigil Mass celebrated on Wednesday for All Saints Day. See the full schedule of Masses in today's bulletin for All Saints Day, which is a Holy Day of Obligation, and all Catholics are expected to attend Mass. Wednesday Religious Education classes will resume November 7th. Religious Education Grade Level Mass of the Month On Sunday, November 4th, the 10am Mass will be for Grade 4 students in St. Mary s Religious Education Program. All 4th Grade students and their families are invited to attend! Upcoming Mass Grade 3 December 9th St. Mary s Traditional CYO Mass The CYO Mass Celebration for 2018/2019 will be Sunday November 18th at 10 am. All players and families are invited and welcome to this St. Mary s tradition. Depending on the weather, players are invited to wear their uniforms/jerseys. St. Mary s Music Ministry St. Marys music ministry is welcoming new members! The youth choir is comprised of third graders through high schoolers. We meet on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm and sing at the 10:00am Family Mass every Sunday. The adult choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:15-8:45pm and sings at the 11:30am Mass every Sunday.
