This prayer will start at 5am PST 7am CST and 8am EST ending 15 minutes past the hour. We are asking that each diocese prayer leader, diocese bishop and the assistant national secretary help us to get the word out each month to all pastors, auxiliary leaders, elders, ministers and congregations. Please sign in a couple minutes before your time zone schedule. Phone Number: Access Code:
2 Senior Bishop Johnny J. Young Speaks When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. But Simon answered and said to Him, Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your Word I will let down the net. And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. St. Luke 5: 4-7 The Law of Buy In it reminds us that people buy into the LEADER before they buy into the VISION of that LEADER. Jesus directed three seasoned fishermen to let down their nets in a certain part of the lake in order to get a catch. Peter responded that they had fished hard all night, without catching anything. Yet he gave JESUS WORD higher authority than his own experience. This is crucial. Jesus leadership drew a buy-in from professionals who felt certain they knew the fishing business better than He did. When Jesus directions proved fruitful, they became willing to follow Him anywhere. Even before they understood all the places they would be going, they left everything to follow Him. This is THE CHURCH OF GOD PENTECOSTAL, Incorporated s worldwide season to REPOSITION ourselves for our next breakthrough. If you are willing to Reposition yourself for your breakthrough, the sky is the limit! You can win the fight of your life. We are soldiers in the army of the Lord! You may lose a few battles, but you can t lose the WAR! When you reposition yourself for a breakthrough, Failure is not an option. We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. How Can COGP, Inc. Reposition Ourselves for a Breakthrough In 2012? I am glad you asked!! 1. TAKE AN INVENTORY OF WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW. The first step in taking an inventory is to be real with yourself about who you are and what you really want. It is much easier to reposition if you know who you are and what you are repositioning for!! 2. ADOPT TO ADAPT TO CHANGES IN AND AROUND YOU. Change is inevitable, and if we are going to continue steadfastly in the apostles doctrine embracing the vision going beyond before, we must reposition ourselves with the right tools in order to achieve each task along the way. Are you ready for a Breakthrough? Be faithful stewards of your time, tithes, offerings, talents and gifts. May God s blessings and favor continue to be upon each of you as you reposition for your breakthrough in the NEW YEAR 2012! Your Servant Leader, Bishop Johnny J. Young, Ph.D. Chief Apostle/Chief Executive Officer/Senior Presiding Prelate 2

Diocesan Prelate, Bishop James H. Hudson, foresees the growth in the diocese expanding and churches engaging in effective ministry. In recent years, there has not been a convocation due to stagnated affiliation in that area. The diocese has the affiliation of two new churches (Elder Van Poindexter-Bethel Ministries COGP and Elder T. Eiland-Greater COGP-New York) and believes others are on the way. The convocation is scheduled for October 2012 to be located at diocese headquarters in Erie, Pa. Interviews are being scheduled to help facilitate qualified candidates for consideration. Upon successful completion of the initiative program, candidates will achieve licensure in the insurance industry and prospects for employment with major carriers and providers such as Allstate, Banker s Life, and Aflac. Deacon Ron Harden is a member of the Trustee Board for Hope and Faith Chapel.
4 4 Missionary Lillie B. Davis Quinney To all the women of the gospel, I greet you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. We are fast approaching the end of 2011 and I trust that all are yet leaning and depending on the Almighty King - Jesus Christ. There have been a lot of challenges during this year, but God has been right there to give us the strength we needed he did not let us down. I am excited about the next year coming up as God will keep his promise while holding us up in his right hand giving directions and guidance as we need it. The Lord has blessed us so beautifully to carry on the ministry in this part of the vineyard since the passing of our great Pastor, Bishop Jesse W. Quinney Sr. Bishop Prelate, Dr. Johnny J. Young and Dr. L.C. Williams have been there as interim pastors, giving us the support we needed. Evangelist Jeremy McDonald has been coming and preaching under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Bishop Quinney had a great vision for this State and organization. He wanted the ministry to go on even when he knew the Lord had a time limit on his life. His desires were for us to capture the much needed work that needs to be done in Texas and to work in Unity with all concerned within the organization. Bishop Quinney was concerned about wasting too much time on some things. In his spirit he was talking to the Leaders of the Church to let God handle Churches that were not in line with the Word, he said, leave them alone, let God handle it. My advice to our Holy Women is to pray much in hard times and good, mourn if you have to and when everything is going well with you. I am telling you from experience there might come a time when you will need God s help and cannot utter a word of prayer. But the prayer and praises you send up in good times will take care of your needs in bad. Continue to do whatever work you can for the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain. The Lord will give you the pay he has for you that will be multiplied in his sight. Women of God, do not lose your integrity and values for anyone, it is not worth it. Hold on to God s unchanging hands and don t let go. The Lord will supply your every need and desires according to his will. I am concluding this note by reminding you to stay on fire for God, be prayerful, be strong and pray for our leaders and each other. Remember that we are not on an island alone; we need each other from time to time. And none of us have made it to heaven yet, but striving on every hand to be there to see King Jesus face in peace. May God bless each of you in these troubled times. Peace, be with you all. Missionary Lillie B. Davis Quinney, MBC International Chairlady, of the Church of God Pentecostal, Inc.

Overton (left) Co-Founders Ares-Overton Foundation Erie, PA Grower s Grace Community Garden Project filled part of a community need by supplying fresh vegetables and produce to the Erie City Mission and community access. The garden was the brainchild of Hope and Faith Chapel s efforts in conjunction with Erie County Human Relations Commission personnel Ms. Charlotte Scalise. Erie County suffers from high numbers of unemployed and homeless citizens. Area food banks request whatever assistance can be given in helping the need in the community. Hope and Faith Chapel is positioned for another excellent season of providing fresh produce and vegetables next year. Brunswick, GA The Church of God Pentecostal Miracle Temple strongly encourages all churches to use this new program called Prayer Garden. A prayer garden is the place where you can grow the POWER OF PRAYER in your life like never before. It can be a great tool to use for Children s Church, Sunday School and Youth Programs.
