Chris for an appointment SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM: Preparation Session for Parents on the First Sunday of Feb., April, June, August, Oct. & Dec. SACRAMENT OF THE SICK: Schedule a time with Fr. Chris PARISH MISSION STATEMENT We are a Community of Disciples Gathering at the Banquet Table Joyfully Proclaiming Jesus Christ Celebrating our Gifts of Prayer, Hospitality, Faith Formation and Service. FATHER CHRIS S COLUMN ANNUAL PRIEST MEETING This week I will be with Bishop Paprocki and the other priests of our Diocese for our Clergy Convocation at Pere Marquette Lodge in Grafton. Please pray for us as we gather to discuss the Diocesan Synod and to spend time in prayer and fellowship. I will be back on Friday afternoon. WHEN TO SIT AFTER COMMUNION With the change of using the tabernacle behind the altar, I can tell people are not sure when they can sit after receiving Communion. The best way now is to sit after the doors of the tabernacle are closed. You do not have to wait until the priest sits down. If you need to sit earlier than that it is ok. The important part is to say a prayer of thanks to God for being able to receive Jesus and for the other blessings in our lives. DON T THROW IT AWAY You soon will be receiving a letter from the Bishop asking for support of the Annual Catholic Services Appeal. I ask that you keep it at least until you hear me speak about it at Mass. This year the money will be collected first by our parish so you don t have to mail it to Springfield. I hope I can help you to see how these services are used by the parish every week. Thank you for prayerfully considering your support for this campaign. ANY TALENTED DECORATORS? Although Fr. Mike was very talented in decorating the Church during the special seasons, I am not. I would like to start an Art and Environment Committee to plan and decorate for the Holy Days and other important events. If you are interested in being part of this committee, please let me know.
