There will be members available to receive your payment after the 8:00 a.m. service in the Family Life Center foyers and after the 11:00 a.m. service in the Fellowship Hall. ALL ARE INVITED. PLEASE JOIN US First Baptist Church Women s Conference, "Sisters Rising! It s A Faith Journey", will be held November 8-9, 2013 in the Family Life Center and the Hyatt Place/Raleigh West Hotel, Raleigh, NC. The second Men's Retreat registration payment of $80 is now due for the 2013 Men s Retreat which will be held October 25 27, 2013 at the Caraway Conference Center in Sophia, NC. All payments and remaining balances may be paid following both services, today. The theme is Becoming Men of Strength and Character based on Psalm 18:32 and Isaiah 40:31. Any questions, please contact Phillip Singleton (919) or Deacon Allan Judkins (919) The First Baptist 8 am Greeter Ministry will have a breakfast meeting on October 19, 2013 at 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The meeting will be held at the Crabtree Marriott on Glenwood Ave. We invite anyone interested in being a Greeter to please join us at this meeting. We are seeking a diverse group of greeters that will represent First Baptist congregation. Both young and gently-aged along with married couples are welcome to participate. All one needs to bring with them is a pleasant smile and positive attitude to work in this special ministry. Interested church members should contact Dr. Ulysses Lane or any Greeter on duty at the 8 am service for additional information. 11. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Health Ministry will distribute pink ribbons during the month of October to bring breast cancer education and prevention, awareness to our congregation and community. Please show your support by wearing this ribbon during October, as a reminder that we are in this fight together. A fight for life! 12. EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE! ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, OCTO- BER 8TH! The 2013 municipal elections for the Wake County Board of Education, City of Raleigh, Town of Cary, a major $810 m school bond and Raleigh transportation bond will be held Tuesday, October 8, Please visit your local Board of Elections website ( information about early voting and election day voting.
