For Evangelization: That Priests, religious, and lay people may work together with generosity for evangelization. Lord, my creator, you have protected me since I was in the cradle. You have taken me from the love of the world and given me patience to suffer. Now receive my spirit ~Saint Agatha Ask Christ to help you become happy. I obey Christ. After Christ s example, I forgive my persecutors. I do not hate them. I ask God to have pity on all, and I hope my blood will fall on my fellow men as fruitful rain. ~ Saint Paul Miki I urge you to persevere in your love for Christ and your faithful observance of the law of Christ. ~ Saint Jerome Emiliani Freshly baked unleavened bread at Eucharist The official Church guidelines for Mass states: The bread for celebrating the Eucharist must be made only from wheat, must be recently baked, and according to the ancient tradition, must be unleavened. The meaning of the sign demands that... [it] truly have the appearance of food (General Instruction for the Roman Missal, 320). In keeping with this directive, our parish uses freshly baked unleavened bread made only from wheat.
