THEY HAVE MONEY!!!!!! {SEE BELOW!!!} St. Matthew s Endowment Grants Apply by June 30. Awarded on September 20, $19, available Grants may be used to enhance the worship, ministry, and mission outreach of St. Matthews. Who may apply? Anyone with a good idea and/or a need and who is willing to plan, organize and use the money as requested. What type of ideas? The monies cannot be used to supplement the operating budget of St. Matthew s, however, they can be used for new programs or for one time purchases not covered by the budget for worship or outreach. Grants may be used for other churches or programs with a need, generally within the Interior Deanery, and for organizations which, in general, the congregation of St. Matthew s supports. A grant may not benefit a specific individual. To Apply A cover letter and supporting documents Provide name, address, phone number and address for the contact person and name of the organization (if there is one) Describe how the funds will be used. Say which of the Endowment goals will be met (enhance the worship, ministry and/or the mission outreach of St. Matthews).

6 MUST provide a BUDGET. A detailed budget showing costs by different types. Examples: supplies, rent, labor, etc. Be prepared for partial funding. Show how the program could go forward if you were only awarded, say, half of your request. Indicate if there are other sources for your grant request such as matching money or supplies from another source, volunteer time by others working on the project, etc. This information may help the Endowment Board to consider the worthiness of the request. Give a timeline for the grant, start date being September 20 th and no longer than a year. Say who will prepare the FINAL report after the grant funds are used.
