Thank you! PASTOR S CORNER Dear Parishioners, This coming Monday we celebrate Labor Day. On Labor Day, we pay tribute to working men and women. It is also a time to say goodbye to summer, as we mark the return to school and an end to various summertime activities. On Sunday, September 9th at the 9:30 AM Mass, we will hold a special Memorial Mass in remembrance of the anniversary of the tragic events that unfolded on September 11, We will offer the special intentions of all who work to ensure the safety, protection and freedom we enjoy in this country. We will pray for all police, firefighters, Sheriff s deputies, Emergency Medical Technicians, first responders, and rescue workers of all faiths. Anyone who works in this role is invited to attend and will have a reserved place to sit during the Mass. This Memorial Anniversary Mass also serves as a remembrance for all the first responders who died during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on our country. It is very appropriate that we honor our local first responder heroes as we commemorate the 9/11 anniversary on Tuesday. May we continue to work for peace and justice, not just here in our own land but for all people throughout the world. We lift up to you all who long for just employment and those who work to defend the rights and needs of workers everywhere. May those of us who are now retired always remember that we still make a valuable contribution to our Church and our world by our prayers and deeds of charity. May our working and our resting all give praise to you until the day we share together in eternal rest with all our departed in your Kingdom as you live and reign Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. PRAYER FOR LABOR DAY ANNUNCIATION GRADUATES GATHERING FOR ANNUNCIATION HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES An informal gathering for Annunciation High School Graduates will be held on Sunday, September 23 rd at the newly constructed St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church located at Hayes Road, just north of 19 Mile Road, Clinton Twp. MI All Annunciation Graduates and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend Mass at 9:30AM at St. Sharbel Church. It would be great if you could join with us for a visit and celebrate Mass together.
