4 Today s Readings First Reading I will lead the people to brooks of water, on a level road, so that none shall stumble. Psalm The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy. Second Reading It was not Christ who glorified himself, but rather the one who said to him: You are my son: this day I have begotten you. Gospel Immediately the blind man received his sight and followed Jesus on the way. Beloved Success is not measured by strength, wholeness, or power. Success is measured by our weakness, by God s embracing of that weakness and our choice to follow God. The priest has power only because of the weakness that is a part of each person. We are the blind, the lame, the sorrowing. And we are the ones whom God saves and transforms. The blind man in us cries out when decorum would have us be quiet. Our faith cries out for salvation, for wholeness, for redemption, for sight, and we are heard. Our blindness is transformed into sight, and with such vision we see the world as God sees it, broken and beloved. Monday: Tuesday: Readings for the Week Eph 4:32 5:8; Ps 1:1-4, 6; Lk 13:10-17 Eph 5:21-33 or 5:2a, 25-33; Ps 128:1-5; Lk 13:18-21 Wednesday: Eph 6:1-9; Ps 145:10-14; Lk 13:22-30 Thursday: Friday: Saturday: Sunday: Rv 7:2-4, 9-14; Ps 24:1-6; 1 Jn 3:1-3; Mt 5:1-12a Wis 3:1-9; Ps 23:1-6; Rom 5:5-11 Jn 6:37-40, Phil 1:18b-26; Ps 42:2, 3, 5cdef; Lk 14:1, 7-11 Dt 6:2-6; Ps 18:2-4, 47, 51; Heb 7:23-28; Mk 12:28b-34

The other mass parts follow the Kyrie.
